I agree! I was a Ranger back in the 80s. I was privileged to get to train with DELTA,SEALS, and SAS. Also got to train with NZ and Australian SF. Every time I was like a sponge!
I got to do the same in 98 with the Australian and New Zealand SAS during "Operation Desert Thunder" in Kuwait. I was with another Special Operations unit. Also, with the British SAS during "TASK FORCE DAGGER and "Operation Anaconda" in 01-02. Were you a Grenada Raider in 83 or in Panama in 89? Which battalion were you in? I was at 3rd bat during that Somalia debacle that Clinton, Les Aspen, and Colin Powell were the ones that failed that Special Operations package sent over for "Restore Hope(92-96). Half of those studs wouldn't have had to die. Especially those 2 Hardee Boys that were awarded the Medal of Honor, post humorously. I'm still pissed about all of that, and that was almost 30 years ago.
CAG are the true quiet professionals. Worked with several Delta dudes and they are humble, smart and dedicated. Their planning is the very best the military has.
This is my cousin’s TH-cam channel. He was in Ukrainian SOF. He was in a normal squad in a regiment and then worked his way to his regiment’s tier 1 element. I know he only spoke of this once but he has trained with both tier 1 elements from the army and navy of the United States and I believe he was talking about CAG and DEVGRU. He would not say anything more other than «Hercules and Odysseus have nothing on these men». Rest in peace Captain V.
3rd batt ranger from the late 80’s here yep the delta guys are a step above that’s for sure .. I’ve seen them do some things that would blow your mine . .. seals too . Although seals were terrible at land nav I remember that .. but delta is in a league of their own
It's because they have been at the Sharp end so many times they understand how people behave. I saw a Q and A with a couple of SAS guys who were asked how the hell could they stand up and return fire when they were outgunned and having a huge number of the enemy loosing magazine after magazine on full automatic AK-47's? They both laughed and said it was the best time to return fire because they knew that the AK-47 on automatic pulls up and the rounds fly overhead......it looks good in the movies but it's different in reality.... the training and experience and almost a hundred years of different kinds of combat in the hands of exceptional men is why we lesser mortals can only admire them........ Look at the incident in Nairobi and the lone SAS soldier go into the hotel and rescue people and killing two of them....he had no idea how many he was up against but still went in.....

Agreed my first deployment with the 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger regiment was to Missoula Iraq and we were working with a Delta unit. Living in the same little compound there with those guys and I can't even begin to tell you just how unbelievable they are at everything. As a young Ranger yeah that's the next step in the Evolution for young Rangers. And then the good thing about it ranger battalion is a great stepping stone to that a lot of Delta guys come from ranger battalion. RLTW 3/75

Absolutely, it's like anything else, you've got millions of guys from neighborhoods all over America who can play guitars, but there's only like 3 who are the whole package that it takes to be a rock star, and if the guy's who are Delta never joined the military in the first place they'd be rock stars or any one of a number of other things most guys dream they could be, star quarterback, Olympic track star. Guy's like that no matter what it is they get into in life they're the one's that go all the way to rock star instead of stopping at the best guitar player in their hometown, there's a million of those guy's out there, "He's the best guitar player that was ever in this town", well every towns gotta have one but there's only 3 openings for rock star.
He's telling the truth. I was a member of Echo Co., a LRS unit. We would work with SF, Delta, and ODA a lot. Even our most hardened MCO's learned so much from these men in 10 minutes of convo. Some of it on the fly.
Tech and gear weren't the definition of them entirely. Their people are. But at the same time they had big advancements in weapons, optics, medical, SOP, armor. A lot came from blackhawk down. One of the most evident was the IFAK medical kit across the military, that kit would have saved lives if available then. The selection process of the unit and sas is just legendary. For either, when I was in, had age and combat requirements just to tryout for them. You get a more mature and experienced indviduals that would be a stud in any conventional unit. But that same group, your looking at a 10% success rate. Your getting more or less professional or Olympic athletes mixed with Rhoades scholars that are backed by the greatest militaries on the planet. What made them scary was prior knowledge. You would have classes, trainjng excercises, operations and they were nothing like those were in the Marines. We have some of the best weapons training programs in the world. But its a highly stressful event. Many unit guys come from SF, their most effective ability is teaching and making friends. Over the course of a day, theyd make small suggestions and be really positive, by the end even the worst shots improved and had a new friend. And this would be with Marines shooting expert already. The SAS is similar, they'd never insult and degrade people, theyd help and instruct. That short amount of time on the ranges and being open to mentoring people was clear. This is kinda evident, late 20's guys with experience were captivating to guys just out of high school. What made them scary was how calm and easy-going they were. You knew these guys were some of the best warfighters on the planet. But if you didn't know who they were you would never know. They wouldn't tell you, or ever act like it. This is the scary part. Not like it was an act, they were genuinely nice guys. But they could turn it to 11 instantly. They're like mike tyson. Talk to him now, a humbled and soft spoken guy. But ring the bell, and he becomes a person you would step into the ring without a pistol.
I can attest to CAG and Tyler’s teammate that were at Falluja, those guys are fucken good. Very professional and pretty chill dudes, I had a blast working with them pulling security, got to watch all the cool guy stuff
Now, I can't say I know the ins and outs of quals to make every unit, but for a Ranger to say someone else was like a God, that must be something really special.
Relentless Strike. These guys literally shaped the SOF world. They set the benchmark world wide, don't think any other unit comes close. Probably DEVGRU on par.

To be fair the tactics and everything was based off of General Chiukov of the Soviets during Stalingrad. He invented the tactics for urban warfare that would later be used by our SF.
As a Navy Vet I've gotten a lot of respect for Delta Operators over the years. They do their job and don't look for accolades. It's a shame a lot of SEALs have become divas.
I took several classes from a Delta operator while working security at West Point, a long time ago. I had never seen anything like it, all of their movements with their weapons were second nature, they didn't even think about it. Regards, Denis Berte' USMC/SF

i used to talk to this older Green Beret, he said that Delta guys coukd get kicked out of the training school for having a negligent discharge WITH A FLASHLIGHT. like, accidentally turning on tbeir SureFire lol. He said joining the army with the goal of becoming a Ranger, SF or Airborne, joining the Navy/Marines to become a SEAL was acceptable goals, but if you join the army eith the gosl of becoming Delta that you're probably going to fail. only thd best of the best make it and your chances are so slim.
A friend of mine when he was a PFC got told to go out and setup a patrol base and stand-to at 1am. Next thing he knows he’s hogtied and gagged. Imagine needing a security clearance just to get your ass kicked
These special forces guys are really special! Superb organisations. But don't forget they based themselves on the British special forces. Even sending some of their own to the uk to learn from the SAS. And good on them.

My cousin on fathers side is a Delta force soldier he admitted they did mk ultra delta mind control on him to unlock his brain it made him instantly know every martial art it’s declassified. they know if a person can fight and knows there car and knows how much they weigh and knows all things about that person just by looking at them they aren’t normal humans from that mind control it makes them superhuman

Not really, the delta force is good at what they do. But do the delta force decide US public opinion? Can they change the minds and hearts of enemy populations through force? Do they decide when the US president and congress want us to go to war? Do they decide which wars we fight are just and which are unjust? They don't control any of this. they are given tasks by the higher ups and they accomplish them. That's their only purpose. I see no reason to blame them for things others in our society are supposed to decide. The fact that we often go to war when we shouldn't is not their decision.
You know why they make it look easy ? The training . That's all it is. It's rigorous hardcore training , so when you get on the battlefield being shot at you make it seem like you're going to lunch . These guys have been weeded out and the ones with the nerves of steel make it. Take a guy with nerves of steel and put him through routine training and you have a super soldier , literally

Not even our tier 3 Special operations have ranked the SAS above say the French or even Australians. Ex SAS, partner SOF, US/ British historians have universally put CAG has number 1 CT unit in the world. Period. From Mark Urban(british historian) , Andy McNab (ex SAS), Lindsay Bruce (ex SAS), William Richard(ex SAS), Sean Naylor(historian-Relentless Strike), everyone who has come out public from the Unit, everyone in USSOCOM has produced statements, accounts, details and other specifics to produce a very corroborated case that no one can operate like JSOC, especially CAG. In many cases of the aforementioned, they explicitly said, or eluded to, CAG being unsurpassed. You have to be British or deluded to say otherwise (starting to make sense) Let me educate you hard facts, starting with some myths I need break to you. The SAS never had a monopoly in Special operations, everyone was figuring out CT in the 70s, because WW2 SAS had zero to do with the realities of UW, CT and FID . They weren't the only innovators, they weren't in the lead for long- no more than 2-3 years. They didn't train American Delta ( their first cadre were all American), and the curriculum training consisted of various agencies(including the SAS-1 guy, but also from IDF, KSK, GIGN est). They closed the gap and surpassed all of them as early as the 80s, by some accounts. The modern CT unit has greatly benefitted from TTP, to technology, everything from tubular assaults, to hazardous HR concepts, alot of which were pioneered in Bragg. HALO techniques, weapon systems like HK416, modern MWDs, the xbox, modern CQB-which is unparalled in the world, as the saying goes- 'No one goes in the room like Delta'. George IV Hand. Hell, even Polish GROM named a street on their after a Delta Sniper for having them build their sniper troop. Super Jew-Freedman. No organization has shaped, pioneered and led the world in this field more than USSOCOM/JSOC, especially CAG. Considering you have to go to every USSOCOM related video to remind the world of your outdated and flawed opinion, just to satisfy your insecure believe that 'MeH sAS nUmber 1'....so I guess it make sense that you have such conclusions. Little late on this. However, i think he is saying that the guy who led the delta team that he was attached to when he was a ranger was the same guy who put the tourniquet on his arm when he got blown up in sadr city while Tyler was in delta, 4 years later.
The first time I observed their level of greatness, it scared me, bc It showed me just how UNDERTRAINED I WAS! Here I am thinking that I King Dingaling and over prepared, over confident, cocky, jacked built, this 5’7” avg dude comes blowing past me calm as hell and shoots a habib off a rooftop that was aiming to shoot me. This dude was a ghost and came from nowhere! It was so methodical, smooth, zero struggle, he walked two steps past me, went shoulder level w/ an HK 416 in .3secs there was a dead guy rolling off the roof and almost fell ontop of me! The Operator looked at me with the calmest look and said; “Stay sharp Brother!” I felt about as big as a flea! This Kiser-Sosay dude just changed my whole mindset that has been evolving for the last 25 years and from that moment forward on that opp, I was in that dudes hip pocket! I learned to forget everything I used to think Tradecraft was and become a student of what REAL TRADECRAFT IS! To be clear, real time COMBAT TRADECRAFT DIFFERS SOME FROM EVERYDAY TRADECRAFT BUT THE MOST VALUABLE LESSON I LEARNED FROM THOSE MAGNIFICENT 4-CAG OPERATORS WAS : “IF YOU APPLY THE BASIC FUNDAMENTALS THAT YOU LEARN IN COMBAT TRADECRAFT TO BECOME YOUR EVERYDAY TOOLBOX, YOU WILL WIN EVERY ENCOUNTER YOU FACE!” That was the turning point in my life and there is NO DOUBT THAT THAT OPERATOR SAVED MY LIFE THAT DAY WHEN HE TERMINATED THE HABIB ON THE ROOF, AND THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THE 4-OPERATORS TOGETHER HAVE SAVED MY LIFE THE LAST 20 years by spending every day w/ me and one other guy, stripping all the movie star war fighting techniques from our memories, then instilling the muscle memory, consciousness of thought assessment & actions process, real combat shooting, the humility of surprise, humility of being the unit that saves the world and backing out to let another branch / division / standardized unit be in the light because we don’t exist, did I mention shooting, we put a minimum 4,000 rounds down range every week each. CQB, HA, these guys were so mechanical, free flowing and never missed a threat or target in our very rigorous shoot house we built up. The They gave us an unofficial advanced tactics course that took all the prequalifying crap out and went straight into giving us their real time experience & training all condensed and very simplified method or way to think about it! They broke it into simplicity for thick headed dummies like my Buddy and I were! (Of course I’m not giving all details, but you can see why it was so simple for us to figure out and relate: Our MOA was explained as ; Think of everything that you do in every day life like, An everyday Dad in America getting up on his day off, throwing on whatever comfortable clothes, swinging by Starbucks, running the car to get oil change & washed then back home again! My Buddy and I were like wth? You break down your planning, execute, ensure the mission is completed, get home / base safely, repeat! DON’T OVER THINK IT TO THE POINT OF OBSESSING OVER THE STUPID SHIT, BC YOU WILL FORGET THE OBJECTIVE. K-eep I-t S-imple S-stupid So we began every evolution with our basic planing, repeated everything x-1000000 times and 15-days later, my Buddy and I would have a conversation that we’d finish eachothers sentences basically. You become a different person. 15- days after that, (so we went on specific task driven patrols every night, usually back at base camp by 4am, my buddy and I had to perform the duties that we were there and assigned to do for that attachment, that took 3 hours, then shower then sleep 3 hrs, chow, then free to do whatever until our night patrol so from about 11 a, we were training with these GODS! Cleaning weapons, zeroing, batteries and shooting and cleaning lol.) So, 15- days after the first 15 days of changing everything about our whole perception of the conflict we were in, now we are seeing combat time with zero excitement and being unseen, unheard and creating HAVOC ON A A CERTAIN CELL OF A LARGER CELL, to the point of actually having Starbucks in our camel packs sipping on Starbucks shooting faces! We were so freaking lucky to have had that 48 day opportunity! We knew we were lucky then but holy shit , looking back, WE WERE TOUCHED BY GOD because we both would have been KIA if these Operators wouldn’t have taken us under their wings. To the point of, their Command got wind of it and they denied it. Then we were called in to a VERY HIGH RANKING OFFICIALS OFFICIAL AND ASKED TO GIVE A STATEMENT ABOUT THE CLASSIFIED TRAINING THAT WE RECEIVED BY 4- CAG OPERATORS! We were separated but of course said the exact same thing, “Sir, we begged those old men to teach us stuff! They locked us out of the “TEAM Quarters”, told us to make a schedule of what they were going to do each day, order supplies, get Starbucks coffeee poured into their gear cammelbacks, check the oil on Humvees, wash Humvees and clean & charge mags, strip weapons clean everything spotless and leave the clean parts for them to reassemble! So, basically, the only thing we were taught was how to be a good butler.” The High Ranking Official (Former Unit Operator), kinda smirked and said; “ THEM MUTHA FUKERS!” With a follow up laugh and a; “DISMISSED, and then an off the record brief warning!) We showed how grateful we were by the shit eating grins from ear to ear and left his space while we were able to leave before he decided to change his mind. There were 3 other assignments to that Unit Detail doing the exact things we did in the first one. We were requested/ ordered all 3- times! Out of the 6- of us: or I should say out of the 4-TRUE HEROS And the 2- Idiots There is only 3- of us left, I married the Daughter of the Operator ( I call Opp-1) that saved my ass that first day and have been apart of that amazing Family for 20 years now. My Buddy, was KIA in Folusya while I was home on leave by an IED GOD REST HIS SOUL! I think about you everyday Bud! I love you man! (Junt-Bug) (Opp-2) passed due to cancer after retiring. Let’s put this in perspective. The Seals only have one team that’s tier 1 (ST6). There’s no such thing as a tier 1 in Delta because their ALL tier 1!!!
This is absolute nonsense. I’m here to tell you, as a combat vet myself who saw a lot of combat early in Iraq… it doesn’t matter how much of a badass you are. How well trained, high speed, low drag… a mortar is a mortar. A bullet is a bullet. Some of the most badass solders out there get hit and killed on the regular. Getting hit is random and deadly to anybody. Delta might be the most bad ass unit when the have they drop on the bad guys , but in all our combat, just like in Somilia, any body and everybody is at the hands of fate just like everybody else. Don’t make them into something they’re not, they’re men. They are mortal. And in the law of averages, they get killed just like the rest of us.
It's funny how the numbers do not support that. You would think that by the law of averages given their time in combat zones compared to the average soldier they should have a shorter life expectancy. Yet it's not even close. They operate on a completely different level. Not only because of their skillet and extensive training but their awareness in combat. You are correct about bad luck, it can defeat all of that. CAG doesn't operate like big Army, they have almost complete autonomy and tend to know where to be and where not to be in order to avoid a lot of that bad luck. Like it or not we aren't all created equal.

LOL the Taliban's strategy is to outlast the US. Like any guerrilla force, they don't have the resources or the training to go head to head against the American military, so they don't. Why would they? They're not stupid. It doesn't mean the delta force aren't unstoppable at their game, it's just that the Taliban and them are playing two different games. It's comparing apples against oranges. Each team plays the game they are better at, hoping it's the right game to be playing in the long run.

@Ry43deck That's a hard one. I've worked with different SAS companies from 3 different countries, trained with SEAL TEAM 6 and CAG. In my humble opinion, the Hardee Boys from Bragg are without equal. And, I spent a good amount of time with all of them.

See, when Hollywood decides to do any kind of Military production, they can approach the US army Entertainment Complex, in which for exchange for use of real equipment like helicopters, Vehicles, airplanes, Dialogue, arms, And military bases, the Army only has one condition: to be able to revise script to depict the armed forces as they see fit. A lot of your favorite Hollywood movies have been altered in said way, from BlackHawk to Top Gun.
If you saw them in action you'd realize they aren't Gods, what they are is trained up, armed and operating at such a high level that they are terrifying. It's like a couch potato watching an NFL quarterback and wondering how they do it because no matter how much you want to you can't. I'd rather run through a mine field than go up against any of those guys in a combat environment because I'd stand a better chance of making it through the mine field.
In 20 years of constant deployments the 75th ranger regiment had 62 guys killed in total. The 1st ranger battalion ran 198 missions that resulted in 1900 enemies killed or captured on one deployment (in 2018) alone. So probably like 4-6 months total. They had one guy killed on that deployment. I would say all these special ops guys, regardless of branch, are very good at what they do.
I’m female and I’ve never been in the military, but if they’re as horrifyingly bad and ineffective as you seem to be implying they are, I’m sure the US government would’ve ended the special forces altogether a long time ago.
the SAS are good but Delta force is just similar structure. They do different things they ask different most if not all of American Special operations have branched off so far of the SIS. I agree! I was a Ranger back in the 80s. I was privileged to get to train with DELTA,SEALS, and SAS. Also got to train with NZ and Australian SF. Every time I was like a sponge!

I got to do the same in 98 with the Australian and New Zealand SAS during "Operation Desert Thunder" in Kuwait. I was with another Special Operations unit. Also, with the British SAS during "TASK FORCE DAGGER and "Operation Anaconda" in 01-02. Were you a Grenada Raider in 83 or in Panama in 89? Which battalion were you in? I was at 3rd bat during that Somalia debacle that Clinton, Les Aspen, and Colin Powell were the ones that failed that Special Operations package sent over for "Restore Hope(92-96). Half of those studs wouldn't have had to die. Especially those 2 Hardee Boys that were awarded the Medal of Honor, post humorously. I'm still pissed about all of that, and that was almost 30 years ago.

I can say this from personal experience: they are the type of guys who, while they could be a SGM/E-9, would rather you call them by their first name.
CAG are the true quiet professionals. Worked with several Delta dudes and they are humble, smart and dedicated. Their planning is the very best the military has.
This is my cousin’s TH-cam channel. He was in Ukrainian SOF. He was in a normal squad in a regiment and then worked his way to his regiment’s tier 1 element. I know he only spoke of this once but he has trained with both tier 1 elements from the army and navy of the United States and I believe he was talking about CAG and DEVGRU. I saw a Q and A with a couple of SAS guys who were asked how the hell could they stand up and return fire when they were outgunned and having a huge number of the enemy loosing magazine after magazine on full automatic AK-47's? They both laughed and said it was the best time to return fire because they knew that the AK-47 on automatic pulls up and the rounds fly overhead......it looks good in the movies but it's different in reality.... the training and experience and almost a hundred years of different kinds of combat in the hands of exceptional men is why we lesser mortals can only admire them........
Look at the incident in Nairobi and the lone SAS soldier go into the hotel and rescue people and killing two of them....he had no idea how many he was up against but still went in.....

Agreed my first deployment with the 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger regiment was to Missoula Iraq and we were working with a Delta unit. Living in the same little compound there with those guys and I can't even begin to tell you just how unbelievable they are at everything. As a young Ranger yeah that's the next step in the Evolution for young Rangers. And then the good thing about it ranger battalion is a great stepping stone to that a lot of Delta guys come from ranger battalion. RLTW 3/75

Absolutely, it's like anything else, you've got millions of guys from neighborhoods all over America who can play guitars, but there's only like 3 who are the whole package that it takes to be a rock star, and if the guy's who are Delta never joined the military in the first place they'd be rock stars or any one of a number of other things most guys dream they could be, star quarterback, Olympic track star.
Guy's like that no matter what it is they get into in life they're the one's that go all the way to rock star instead of stopping at the best guitar player in their hometown, there's a million of those guy's out there, "He's the best guitar player that was ever in this town", well every towns gotta have one but there's only 3 openings for rock star.

He's telling the truth. I was a member of Echo Co., a LRS unit. We would work with SF, Delta, and ODA a lot. Even our most hardened MCO's learned so much from these men in 10 minutes of convo. Some of it on the fly.

Tech and gear weren't the definition of them entirely. Their people are. But at the same time they had big advancements in weapons, optics, medical, SOP, armor. A lot came from blackhawk down. One of the most evident was the IFAK medical kit across the military, that kit would have saved lives if available then. The selection process of the unit and sas is just legendary. For either, when I was in, had age and combat requirements just to tryout for them. You get a more mature and experienced indviduals that would be a stud in any conventional unit. But that same group, your looking at a 10% success rate. Your getting more or less professional or Olympic athletes mixed with Rhoades scholars that are backed by the greatest militaries on the planet.
What made them scary was prior knowledge. You would have classes, trainjng excercises, operations and they were nothing like those were in the Marines. We have some of the best weapons training programs in the world. But its a highly stressful event. Many unit guys come from SF, their most effective ability is teaching and making friends. Over the course of a day, theyd make small suggestions and be really positive, by the end even the worst shots improved and had a new friend. And this would be with Marines shooting expert already. The SAS is similar, they'd never insult and degrade people, theyd help and instruct. That short amount of time on the ranges and being open to mentoring people was clear. This is kinda evident, late 20's guys with experience were captivating to guys just out of high school.
What made them scary was how calm and easy-going they were. You knew these guys were some of the best warfighters on the planet. But if you didn't know who they were you would never know. They wouldn't tell you, or ever act like it. This is the scary part. Not like it was an act, they were genuinely nice guys. But they could turn it to 11 instantly. They're like mike tyson. Talk to him now, a humbled and soft spoken guy. But ring the bell, and he becomes a person you would step into the ring without a pistol.

To be fair the tactics and everything was based off of General Chiukov of the Soviets during Stalingrad. He invented the tactics for urban warfare that would later be used by our SF.
As a Navy Vet I've gotten a lot of respect for Delta Operators over the years. They do their job and don't look for accolades. It's a shame a lot of SEALs have become divas.

i used to talk to this older Green Beret, he said that Delta guys coukd get kicked out of the training school for having a negligent discharge WITH A FLASHLIGHT. like, accidentally turning on tbeir SureFire lol. He said joining the army with the goal of becoming a Ranger, SF or Airborne, joining the Navy/Marines to become a SEAL was acceptable goals, but if you join the army eith the gosl of becoming Delta that you're probably going to fail. only thd best of the best make it and your chances are so slim.

Not really, the delta force is good at what they do. But do the delta force decide US public opinion? Can they change the minds and hearts of enemy populations through force? Do they decide when the US president and congress want us to go to war? Do they decide which wars we fight are just and which are unjust?
They don't control any of this. they are given tasks by the higher ups and they accomplish them. That's their only purpose. I see no reason to blame them for things others in our society are supposed to decide.
The fact that we often go to war when we shouldn't is not their decision.

Not even our tier 3 Special operations have ranked the SAS above say the French or even Australians. Ex SAS, partner SOF, US/ British historians have universally put CAG has number 1 CT unit in the world. Period. From Mark Urban(british historian) , Andy McNab (ex SAS), Lindsay Bruce (ex SAS), William Richard(ex SAS), Sean Naylor(historian-Relentless Strike), everyone who has come out public from the Unit, everyone in USSOCOM has produced statements, accounts, details and other specifics to produce a very corroborated case that no one can operate like JSOC, especially CAG. In many cases of the aforementioned, they explicitly said, or eluded to, CAG being unsurpassed. You have to be British or deluded to say otherwise (starting to make sense)
Let me educate you hard facts, starting with some myths I need break to you. The SAS never had a monopoly in Special operations, everyone was figuring out CT in the 70s, because WW2 SAS had zero to do with the realities of UW, CT and FID . They weren't the only innovators, they weren't in the lead for long- no more than 2-3 years. They didn't train American Delta ( their first cadre were all American), and the curriculum training consisted of various agencies(including the SAS-1 guy, but also from IDF, KSK, GIGN est). They closed the gap and surpassed all of them as early as the 80s, by some accounts. The modern CT unit has greatly benefitted from TTP, to technology, everything from tubular assaults, to hazardous HR concepts, alot of which were pioneered in Bragg. HALO techniques, weapon systems like HK416, modern MWDs, the xbox, modern CQB-which is unparalled in the world, as the saying goes- 'No one goes in the room like Delta'. George IV Hand. Hell, even Polish GROM named a street on their after a Delta Sniper for having them build their sniper troop. Super Jew-Freedman. No organization has shaped, pioneered and led the world in this field more than USSOCOM/JSOC, especially CAG.
Considering you have to go to every USSOCOM related video to remind the world of your outdated and flawed opinion, just to satisfy your insecure believe that 'MeH sAS nUmber 1'....so I guess it make sense that you have such conclusions. But hey, what do I know.

This Kiser-Sosay dude just changed my whole mindset that has been evolving for the last 25 years and from that moment forward on that opp, I was in that dudes hip pocket! I learned to forget everything I used to think Tradecraft was and become a student of what REAL TRADECRAFT IS! That was the turning point in my life and there is NO DOUBT THAT THAT OPERATOR SAVED MY LIFE THAT DAY WHEN HE TERMINATED THE HABIB ON THE ROOF, AND THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THE 4-OPERATORS TOGETHER HAVE SAVED MY LIFE THE LAST 20 years by spending every day w/ me and one other guy, stripping all the movie star war fighting techniques from our memories, then instilling the muscle memory, consciousness of thought assessment & actions process, real combat shooting, the humility of surprise, humility of being the unit that saves the world and backing out to let another branch / division / standardized unit be in the light because we don’t exist, did I mention shooting, we put a minimum 4,000 rounds down range every week each. CQB, HA, these guys were so mechanical, free flowing and never missed a threat or target in our very rigorous shoot house we built up.
The They gave us an unofficial advanced tactics course that took all the prequalifying crap out and went straight into giving us their real time experience & training all condensed and very simplified method or way to think about it!
They broke it into simplicity for thick headed dummies like my Buddy and I were! (Of course I’m not giving all details, but you can see why it was so simple for us to figure out and relate:

So we began every evolution with our basic planing, repeated everything x-1000000 times and 15-days later, my Buddy and I would have a conversation that we’d finish eachothers sentences basically. You become a different person.
15- days after that, (so we went on specific task driven patrols every night, usually back at base camp by 4am, my buddy and I had to perform the duties that we were there and assigned to do for that attachment, that took 3 hours, then shower then sleep 3 hrs, chow, then free to do whatever until our night patrol so from about 11 a, we were training with these GODS! Cleaning weapons, zeroing, batteries and shooting and cleaning lol.)
So, 15- days after the first 15 days of changing everything about our whole perception of the conflict we were in, now we are seeing combat time with zero excitement and being unseen, unheard and creating HAVOC ON A A CERTAIN CELL OF A LARGER CELL, to the point of actually having Starbucks in our camel packs sipping on Starbucks shooting faces!
We were so freaking lucky to have had that 48 day opportunity! We knew we were lucky then but holy shit , looking back, WE WERE TOUCHED BY GOD because we both would have been KIA if these Operators wouldn’t have taken us under their wings.
To the point of, their Command got wind of it and they denied it.
Then we were called in to a VERY HIGH RANKING OFFICIALS OFFICIAL AND ASKED TO GIVE A STATEMENT ABOUT THE CLASSIFIED TRAINING THAT WE RECEIVED BY 4- CAG OPERATORS! We were separated but of course said the exact same thing,
“Sir, we begged those old men to teach us stuff! This is absolute nonsense. I’m here to tell you, as a combat vet myself who saw a lot of combat early in Iraq… it doesn’t matter how much of a badass you are. How well trained, high speed, low drag… a mortar is a mortar. A bullet is a bullet. Some of the most badass solders out there get hit and killed on the regular. Getting hit is random and deadly to anybody. Delta might be the most bad ass unit when the have they drop on the bad guys , but in all our combat, just like in Somilia, any body and everybody is at the hands of fate just like everybody else. Don’t make them into something they’re not, they’re men. They are mortal. And in the law of averages, they get killed just like the rest of us.

It's funny how the numbers do not support that. You would think that by the law of averages given their time in combat zones compared to the average soldier they should have a shorter life expectancy. Yet it's not even close. They operate on a completely different level. Not only because of their skillet and extensive training but their awareness in combat. You are correct about bad luck, it can defeat all of that. CAG doesn't operate like big Army, they have almost complete autonomy and tend to know where to be and where not to be in order to avoid a lot of that bad luck. Like it or not we aren't all created equal.

@Ry43deck That's a hard one. I've worked with different SAS companies from 3 different countries, trained with SEAL TEAM 6 and CAG. In my humble opinion, the Hardee Boys from Bragg are without equal. And, I spent a good amount of time with all of them.

In 20 years of constant deployments the 75th ranger regiment had 62 guys killed in total.
The 1st ranger battalion ran 198 missions that resulted in 1900 enemies killed or captured on one deployment (in 2018) alone. So probably like 4-6 months total. They had one guy killed on that deployment.
I would say all these special ops guys, regardless of branch, are very good at what they do.
I’m female and I’ve never been in the military, but if they’re as horrifyingly bad and ineffective as you seem to be implying they are, I’m sure the US government would’ve ended the special forces altogether a long time ago.

the SAS are good but Delta force is just similar structure. They do different things they ask different most if not all of American Special operations have branched off so far of the SIS.
