    I wish all my future customers would watch this video of you saying there is a lot to installing an automatic gate properly, most people have no idea how much work is involved to install a gate and operator system properly. I think I will share your video with them.

    Learned a lot from this video, keep up the awesome content! only question is why exactly do the braces face opposition direction as other gates such as wood gates?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Diagonal could be welded either way since it is rigid is it’s just a strong this way or the opposite way. The customer chose this way. If it was not a rigid item, then it would make a difference.

      Probably more than you would expect it to be. It's really hard to take a stab at this kind of question as every region, fencing company, and job site is different. If you can find a fence company with an online quote tool you can use that to get a rough idea: bit.ly/swiquote

    1) Good job w/ UL compliance on controls placement and close obstruction protection. Very professional... and then...
    2) Oops! Jumped the gun on installing post brackets (maybe clamp & test range of motion first). Installing actuators upside down immediately voided manufacturer warranty. Smooth cover up on the spot in front of ignorant customer.. edit that part out? Nevermind it's my favorite.
    3) Sticking with the manufacturer provided receiver antenna isn't doing your customer any favors; get yourself a more robust option for a few extra bucks such as angled brass that won't corrode and fail after 1-2 yrs.
    4) How are most resi auto gates missing photo eyes? Gate controllers made after 16 won't run without them.
    5) I recognize this system as 12V screw-drive which should work fine on solar w/ battery charger long enough for you to cash the check.
    6) No shadow loop? Might as well do it right while you have the machinery off your lawnmower trailer.
    7) Probably shouldn't insult the customer when they're pointing out your shortcomings! You should've taken his advice and thanked him for the opportunity to learn at his expense.
    8) Points for trying!
    9) Get off your rear and service your bad install instead of telling your customers to weed whack around their PE and call you in the morning.
    10) Stick to digging post holes in your sandals in hicktown, the commercial waters reek of accountability and consequences for incompetency.

    Unless you plan on always working out of state I’m gonna have to stick with the cheapo $600-$700 systems. I agree this operator you have is far better but I also feel they need to pair with a great installer to get the full potential. Great video 🍻

    I actually have a Cobalt Posthole digger. I bought it because it's solid steel and heavy lol the kid did have some skinny arms though, but I've seen a skinny black guy, no thicker than the kid that likes the Cobalt post diggers, bench 325 like it was nothing, so size isn't always the factor, but there are exceptions hahaha

    Anyone have any real ideas about stopping drug addicts coming onto your property -8 acre's, living alone. Night time, day time when they see me leave. Police told me today a fence all the way around 😬 I'm looking at hog wire fencing. 325 feet for 150.00 then posts and wood post for gate.

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’ll have to show me how you weld the steel bracket to the aluminum gate, clearly I need more skill 😉. I’ve been doing gates a bit longer than you and while each can have their faults some are more reliable than others. For solar it is impossible to beat USAutomatic. We have had great reliability out of them as well.
