I still plan on getting this watch in canada. I currently have a fossil gen 6 thats atarting to show its age. The build quality on the amazfit balance looks better than my previous warch the fossil sport. My big problem with the fossil sport is the watch lugs were made of plastic. Given mh job though i wouod be buyinf a case/screen protector combo for my future balance. I dont need aleep tracking as i do t sleep with warches on and i dont need the AI coach. I just wish the on screen keyboard was available to reply to messages though
Amazefit has worked on thier HR accuracy . Now the watch seems more accurate as it incorporates a new sensor

Amazfit Balance seems like a solid upgrade from your Fossil Gen 6.
Sounds like you need a full-fledged smartwatch rather than the more fitness focused Amazfit Balance.
