So without a doubt Episode 101 was my most favorite ever! Your finished objects in your LBA exclusive colorway were breathtaking. And you had me “granny squares”. Kathleen, your tote bag is fabulous! My suggestions for Jen’s summer class are all patterns by Sari Nordlund. The Diona Tee, Kuutar Tee, Kaarina Tee or the Seleste Tee. Regardless of what Jen selects, I’m signing up for the class as promised. Thanks so much for all the wonderful content you always have in your episodes. Looking forward to the next 100! Congratulations 🍾🎉🎊🎈
I signed on as myself. Summer sweater suggestion is Mystic Square by James Watts. I’m using Noro Akari but there are many yarns suggested. Very fun construction. Love you shopcast soooooo much!!! So fun and entertaining💕
OMG, Kathleen and Jenn, your crochet bags are so inspiring that I'm gonna need to look into them! I also get hand pain while crocheting so I have to set alarms to take breaks from the fun. Kathleen, you embody summer sunshine with your Tegna and bag! 🌻
You outdid yourselves with wonderful ideas! I loved all the things. I’ve been making V Back Tee and I’m hung up on resolution of the double stitches. It left holes. I love the hat KAL idea!💕❤️
I am getting ready to make the Kaisa Tee. Size inclusive on a larger needle and only two skeins of fingering or sport needed. I think Jen would love this tee.
Jen - I made two short sleeved Ilhas by Orlane Sucche last summer - one in Katia concept cotton cashmere and one in Juniper Moon Moonshine Fine. Vivian made one as well. I just made it in short sleeve and I love it as a summer sweater so much that I made it twice! Also, the pattern was well written and easy for me to follow as a relatively new knitter. I also loved the details of the side cable, the edging, etc.!
Hi Kathleen, Jenn and Amanda, another enjoyable and informative episode! All your completed items are so nice , especially Kathleen's Tenga sweater! So pretty !! I would like to make the Rock It Tee. Happy Knitting everyone! 🧶
I don’t have any summer sweater ideas. I’ve only knit one, the Anchor Tee, and it was a fail. Looking forward to your ideas. Love all your knits, but the Tegna has been on my list forever. Beautiful and perfect coronation sleeves. Glad to hear I’m not the only large-headed person who struggles to find commercially made hats. We can’t help it if our heads need to be bigger to hold all those brain cells!
Never commented before, watch always ,but must tell Jen to knit “Taiyo Lanier Top” . I just finished this shrug making it a little bit longer in a rayon bamboo for hot sweaty days over a dress for air conditioning. It’s perfect ,fast, light , I did a 3 weight, but is recommended a Noro sock weight but very forgiving in most weights due to large needle size, like a Ranuculus, to make your own. PS always love how you always wander off topic. Keep up the great work!
I loved doing the Every Day Tee by Twin Stitches Design - some simple lace on a circular yoke. I love wearing it as well! I’m currently knitting the Tolsta by the Creabea and is a DK. And highly modifiable.
I don’t have a pattern suggestion, but maybe something super simple with modification help. Like bust darts being added in. A way to change a tee to a tank. How to elongate the top of a bottom up knit. Great episode!!
I made a great summer cardi a few years back that I loved so much I’m making another now. It’s called the Hitofude Cardigan by Hiroko Fukatso. It’s such an interesting construction and has beautiful drape. Perfect summer cardi. It’s not a hard knit either. I wear mine so much!!!
I’m enjoying making the dingley dell tee by Isabel kraemer. It would make a nice class. Tho it’s knit flat to start until the vee is formed, then knit in the round top down. Great projects ladies! I’ve had the tenga on my queue for ages!
Love seeing the Spring at Yarnia samples in color!!! My favorite summer tee is the Rock it Tee by Tania Fiber Arts and I am currently working on my second one now. 🧶🧶🧶💕💕💕. And I am doing the “workshop” with Amanda (which is great) and have homework to do on my Franca before class tomorrow night. 😂
I think the Breezy Sumner Tee by Mindful Making (Jane Balle) is an awesome summer tee for easy knitting or Rigmor Tee by Petite Knits for more advanced knitting summer workshops!
Hi girls. I would like to recommend the Anker’s Summer Shirt by Petite Knits. Very cute and enough texture to keep you interested. Very comfortable to wear. Enjoy!
I’m currently knitting the Magic Hour Sweater by Two of Wands but that’s in pieces and I’m under the impression most knitters don’t like seaming. Next on my needles will be the Lovely Lightweight Tee by Purl Soho. I’m knitting it because it has set-in sleeves and I’ve never made anything with that construction. It will also be my first fingering weight garment.
Hi Yeidy - I'm swatching for another Two of Wand top that is also made in pieces. I feel like she does a good job on her blog of explaining why some things are better made in pieces -- some items need that structure! Kudos to you for trying new things to expand your skills. Best, ~K🧶
I just started the Alberta Sunshine by Susan Budda. I am making it out of a fingering wgt cotton blend but I think it could be easily modified for heavier yarns. It uses short rows and has several pattern rounds in the yoke. It could easily be striped. It is a cute, light weight summer top.
I have two suggestions for the summer sweater class! First is the mooncrush tank by Jacqueline Cieslak which has intarsia, and second is the rumble raglan by Lydia Morrow which is all over color work.
I am thinking of the Maema Cardigan for your summer sweater class. I think it would be a great cool evening cardigan and also good for spring and fall.
I made Noro’s Summer Citrus Shawl with two colors of Sonata. I would love to make it again with a shade of Sonata and matching Sonata Shima. I’d love to make a tee with this yarn - it’s so soft! The Sorrel tees have on been on my wishlist for a while!
I just finished making a Dingley Dell by Isabell Kraemer, it was a really fun knit. We’re doing a Summer top make-a-long on Pine Barren Knits so I have a lot of summer patterns I want too knit. Yume also by Isabell Kraemer, Leaves Shell by Kay Hopkins, Wool Knot Tee by Ela Torrente are just a few i want to make.
I love summer tee knitting - of course, I’m in California where summer tees can be worn 10 months of the year. Some of my favorites are: arrows tee by sweater freak, Afternoon in Lisbon by Lisa Hanes, Acropolis tee by Rachel Illsley, Dingley Dell by Isabel Kramer, and Misurina by Caitlin Hunter. I’m currently test knitting a new tee design by Caitlin Hunter that is amazing but not yet available. Love, love, love your podcast💕
So many great suggestions here. I've started a list for future reference! I've been looking at the Rock It Tee in a variegated silk or the Ilhas sweater. An after seeing Kathleen's gorgeous Tegna, that's now back on my list too. The Hitofude Cardigan by Hiroko Fukatso is gorgeous, but not right now as I don't think I can do two of her designs back to back, having just finished the Tsubaki in Jen's winter class (which I love).
🤔 How about the Tolsta by Rebecca Clow? Just released, she encouraged her test knitters to go nuts with variations and included some in the published pattern. Could be fun for a class!
Kathleen, your Tegna is gorgous! I've had the pattern for a while and maybe I should put this a bit closer to the top of my list. And all the gorgeous LBA Springtime at Yarnia projects
YAY! I've finally caught up with the podcasts! I think I started in November with the first one - but caught Vlogmas in 'real time'... I don't remember... Loving the knits you're wearing Kathleen and Amanda 🙂 Edited to add: there's a comedy/panel-game show in England called 'Room 101', where the celebrity contestants get to choose, and argue their case for, pet peeves and irritances to be banished to Room 101- never to be seen again. Seeing as this is Episode 101, is there anything in the yarn-crafty world that you would like be consigned to live the rest of its life in Room 101?
I love the Tegna that Kathleen is wearing, and it comes in a no sleeve option, doesn't it? And the color... that vibrant blue is beautiful! Thanks so much for the ideas today ladies!
Hi Deborah - I think I have seen some people make the Tegna with no sleeves, but it's not mentioned specifically as an option in the pattern. The edges would roll under a bit. or I guess you could do a few rows of ribbing instead of the short sleeve -- or match the rolled neck edge! ~K🧶
@@ChroniclesofYarnia Thanks Kathleen! I would make it exactly as you did. 3/4 length (or Coronation length as you named it 😉) is perfect for me. I was trying to sell it as an option for a summery knit. LOL
I have a few suggestions😅Inti sweater by Beatriz Rubio, Pretty in pleats by Andrea Yetman, Dahlia tee by Ruta Sab, The livi top by YNIK designs & The pixie tee by Amanda Lee!
I think you should make the Adventure Tank by Fatima Hinds or Luminous Summer by Minimi Knit Design or the Kuutar Tee by Sari Nordlund. I’ll stop now 😅

I am getting ready to make the Kaisa Tee. Size inclusive on a larger needle and only two skeins of fingering or sport needed. I think Jen would love this tee.
I’m making the Kaisa Tee for my mom. It’s not done, but she has tried it on and she loves it!

I really love the Rock It tee, looks easy breezy for summer. Great episode, loving all the finished projects, inspiring me to finish some of mine lol😊

For my Summer knitting planning are the Rock It Tee in a solid color .. and the Salty Air
I think the Summer Soufflé by Laura Penrose looks super cute and sweet for the summer sweater class!

The Deschain would be great! Love your podcast!
I made the Sommerloch by Himterstein last year and love it. Making another one for this summer. Thanks for the podcast ❤
Jen , you look adorable in your overalls. I just love them! Also, the Anker's Summer Shirt by PetiteKnit would make a good class.
I think the Breezy Sumner Tee by Mindful Making (Jane Balle) is an awesome summer tee for easy knitting or Rigmor Tee by Petite Knits for more advanced knitting summer workshops!
I have three summer sweaters that I want to make - Uptown Tee, Knut Light and Corran Cardigan. Too many favorites, too little time!
Hi girls. I would like to recommend the Anker’s Summer Shirt by Petite Knits. Very cute and enough texture to keep you interested. Very comfortable to wear. Enjoy!
I love the fit of the Rocket Tee. I made one without mohair. 😊
The Cascata by Filipa Carneiro. The side lace panel can be knit in the back instead. On my summer knits list
I’m currently knitting the Magic Hour Sweater by Two of Wands but that’s in pieces and I’m under the impression most knitters don’t like seaming. I would suggest Cloudesley by Isabell Kramer - such a cute top down summer tee. The Spring at Yarnia yarn is gorgeous.
I would knit the Summer trellis by Jill Zeilinski. I enjoyed the podcast . I'm always inspired by your knits
I just started the Alberta Sunshine by Susan Budda. I am making it out of a fingering wgt cotton blend but I think it could be easily modified for heavier yarns. It uses short rows and has several pattern rounds in the yoke. It could easily be striped. It is a cute, light weight summer top.
I just finished the V Back tee. Interesting construction and lots of options for fading (or not!)
I have two suggestions for the summer sweater class! First is the mooncrush tank by Jacqueline Cieslak which has intarsia, and second is the rumble raglan by Lydia Morrow which is all over color work.

Love, love, love your podcast💕
Thank you, Beth!
Suri shirt by caidree keeps catching my attention on Ravelry, ❤
I’m currently working on the Foxberry Tee by Sari Nordlund, but her Kuutar Tee would also be a great idea for a summer sweater! 😊
Hi- on the topic of summer tee's I have made 2 Anker Summer tops ( love them) and another fun top is Yume. Have a great class.
Jen did an Anker class last spring or summer - it was a big hit!
My summer sweater plan is the Lounging Top by Joji. I got some merino/silk to use so hopefully it won't be so hot 😊
Tolsta Tee would be great with all the variations.
I think the Rock It Tee by Tanis Fiber Arts would be a great summer sweater to knit. It should go quick and be light enough to wear.
I'm thinking of the Anker Summer Shirt this summer! 😅
Summer sweater on my queue is Derecho by Alison Green.

I too have a big head and have found hats at Duluth Trading Company. They have multiple sizes.
🤔 How about the Tolsta by Rebecca Clow? Just released, she encouraged her test knitters to go nuts with variations and included some in the published pattern. Could be fun for a class!
the Encinitas top by Irina Anikeeva was a fun knit and different construction.
Enjoyed the podcast! My Summer Tee suggestion is the Joni by Natasja Hornby
I am knitting on the Cumulus Tee by PetiteKnit a light sweater. The pattern is well written
Kathleen, your Tegna is gorgous! I've had the pattern for a while and maybe I should put this a bit closer to the top of my list. And all the gorgeous LBA Springtime at Yarnia projects
Thanks as always, Kathrin!
I am making the Salty Air Tee for the second time love it or the Alberta Sunshine ( free on ravelry )
Sommerknus, there is a Sport Weight pattern and also one in Fingering.
I don't knit (yet, some day I will learn) but I like the Anker Summer Shirt by Petiteknit.
A summer sweater idea - (No need to) Panic by Casapinka
Hi ladies. I suggest the Uptown Tee by Tori Yu
@Yolanda Chavez - that one has definitely caught my eye! ~K🧶
I enjoy Summer Shandy by Megan Williams
I love the Sommerknus. Also, how about the Maven Top? I am considering both. 😊
YAY! I've finally caught up with the podcasts! I think I started in November with the first one - but caught Vlogmas in 'real time'... I don't remember...
Loving the knits you're wearing Kathleen and Amanda 🙂
Edited to add: there's a comedy/panel-game show in England called 'Room 101', where the celebrity contestants get to choose, and argue their case for, pet peeves and irritances to be banished to Room 101- never to be seen again. Seeing as this is Episode 101, is there anything in the yarn-crafty world that you would like be consigned to live the rest of its life in Room 101?
Rebecca Clow's new Tolsta Tee would be a fun class. Her test knitters did many variations that look amazing!
bracuhy by Samba knits it flies off the needles
My eye is on the Joni by Natasja Hornsby!!
I think The Lovely Tee by Kimberly McAlindin would be great for you to make.

I have been wanting to make a batwing sweater but I have been to nervous to try to make a tee since I’m a beginner in knitting.
I am thinking of making the Laia by Isabell Kraemer in a wool/silk blend.I love all of your special LBA color projects!
If you haven't taught the Rock It Tee by Tanis fiber arts, I highly recommend!!!!! Perfect for new sweater knitters

I couldn't find the silk worsted of the two tendrils for the lady that couldn't wear wool. Amanda?? I looked on Ravelry and Yarnia.
Hi Carol - I'm not sure when they went up, but the kits are up now. On our website search "tendrils" and you'll see them. ~K🧶
How about Summer Sorrel by Wool & Pine?
How about the Crescendo Summer top on ravelry. Looks like it’s in DK
What about the V Back for a summer tee?
Double crochet in UK is a single crochet in US, not half double.
Thanks for the correction!
