    Oh goodness, poor baby, I see the way she's sitting, but yeah, the Medicam does work well, and everyday she'll get better, precious bun bun, and yes, I see the post spay day 6, she's so much better!

      The first couple of days were tough on her but she bounced back really well overall! We are happy to have her all healed up and acting like her happy and normal self again!

    I’m SO glad you posted this video. I watched it in preparation for getting my girl bunny spayed ✅ it’s only been 4 days and she acts like nothing has happened 😳 I chose an excellent vet recommended by The House Rabbit Society. I got both my male and female fixed. They are doing GREAT and I couldn’t be happier. They had only been to this vets office once. It’s an hour and a half away so its quite a journey and thru Denver traffic 🤪
    Having this video has been invaluable and really prepared me for the recovery process 💜💜💜

    You have a great vet. It was so weird doing a spay during covid. They never told me they had to krep her overnight. I was worried and upset.

    I'm getting a nine month old bunny tomorrow.... I'm curious as to what age should you get your bunny spayed? It's a female I already contacted the humane society just ready to see her and bring her home 😍

    • @BudgetBunny
      @BudgetBunny  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kamil Hickley Awww I hope the meet and greet went well! Most shelters and rescues will have already spayed or neutered the animals that have come in to their care which is one of the many reasons adopting is awesome. ☺️ If she isn’t she is old enough - 6 months is the typical rule - but you might want to wait until she’s settled in a bit before having her done so it’s not too much stress at once. Take the time to find a good reputable vet experienced with rabbits as their anatomy is a little different and they are sensitive to anaesthesia. ❤️

    my baby just got spayed about 11 hours ago and is still not eating 🥺 i’m so scared and really hope she’s ok! And i was wondering how exactly do you feed her the critical care?

    • @BudgetBunny
      @BudgetBunny  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bree Awww how is she doing now? You have to force feed with a feeding syringe which your vet would carry. If you’re still struggling or have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to call your vet. They will help you! 💗

    • @BudgetBunny
      @BudgetBunny  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bree4723 WONDERFUL!!!! Keep her eating, if you can force feed her some critical care or if she'd take some willingly on a plate that would be ideal as well just to keep her fibre intake up until she's 100%. :)

    Thank you so much for the informative video. I wanted to be prepared as much as possible. I have 2 bunnies getting fixed at the same time so yeah... I needed to have some type of idea what might happen. After looking at both parts I clearly didn’t expect any of this. Luckily I’ll have my two teens as backup since I get severe vertigo.

    Thank you for posting this. We are day 4 post spay and I have noticed my bun is non-stop eating hay the last 2 days. She never ate this much prior to her spay so it has me a little concerned. I wonder if she is eating more because she can’t exercise and it’s just more like something to do to kill time. I have caught her pouncing in her xpen. It is smaller than her normal size set-up but I know if I let her out, she is going to go wild.

    Very nervous about my Blu and her surgery. Live in an area that doesn't really have a specific rabbit exotic vet they seem to not care too much and I can't seem to find anyone else.
    Hopefully it all goes well with my sweet gurl. Thank you for sharing especially the banana tip cuz my Lil boi refused his medication after his neuter surgery was running around happily few days after everything. Know spay is harder though.

    Hi
    I am new to your channel and I saw beaker. Is he still around? No recent videos🤔
    Thanks

      James Whitehead Hello! He is and there will be more videos with him soon! He is just a pretty shy guy and hates any kind of camera near him so I don’t feature him often. I don’t want to stress him out and he kind of freezes if he sees one around. Our past bird Ella LOVED being the star so that’s why looking at parrotlet videos there are so many featuring her. Just what tends to happen when you rescue though - he clearly wasn’t socialized much before he came to live with us.

    I was wondering if you still have your Bunny Willow and what is her breed I have a rabbit that looks almost identical and I can't figure out what breed she is

    • @BudgetBunny
      @BudgetBunny  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheerio's Bowl we do! She’s 11 now!! She’s a rescue so I don’t know her breed exactly - she seems to be an English spot / Netherland dwarf cross. She’s too small to be a pure English spot and her ears aren’t stunted to be a dwarf. Hope that helps!
