Funny enough, I am also the shortest in my family of giants between my grandfather, father, and younger brother. Its not that Indians don't possess the genetics but the fact that we have been a severely malnourished population has what has kept us from performing at our best.

It is the cricket which gives employment to majority of the sportsperson.
Before IPL even cricketers did kot have much money who played in district and state level.
BCCI has worked and cricket is already very popular.
If you remove cricket even then majority will watch other sports.
Do you know kabaddi players earn more than other games, becaue India is best in Kabaddi

    • @ROHITKumar-gl6mm

      Kabaddi leauge is very successful,
We also have ISL for football, but people dont watch it,
      We have Hockey league also.
Who has stopped people from watching football and hockey.
Do you think that people will watch some volleyball, badminton game.
Tennis is very popular all over the world, but in India its viewership is very less, even though we had many good players who won grandslams.
Sports is a luxury, when people have time they watch.
Our economy is lower middle income economy, so majority of the people are engaged jn earning money they dont have much time to give for sports.
As the GDP per capita increases more and more people will watch sports and players will come.
Take cricket, how much money IPL players earned in 2010 and 2024, and compare GDP and per capita in both years.
I know many friends who were good in sports all left because they have to secure future, because studies give them guaranteed income, while sports is the gamble, if you are not from big cities.
I from Jabalpur Madhya pradesh here we have sports academy with better equipped facilities for games, while there is not a single good cricket clubs, even then kids choose cricket because of possibility of success, and majority of them leave their dream of being cricketer because they are from tier 2 cities, when they grow old they wont get selected for state or national team.
Reason is money, even if someone gives full assurance of future if you are good at studies forget about parents you will also leave sports for studies.

India's cricket obsession is sucking all the money and energy into one sport. IPL is killing world cricket and all other sports in India. It's not the lack of money, it's the lack of focus on other sports, that's making India look away from other sports.

    • @mg9854
      @mg9854 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Lack of other sports and sporting culture ...true! But not performing becoz of IPL is the most ridiculous statement I've ever seen. In European countries football is the real deal and so many leagues related to football are established which deals with ridiculous amounts of money and fans. Going by ur argument they shud've also sucked in other sports right? Stop this IPL hating crap propagated by jealous Pakistanis and other cricket board to pull the Indian league down. I bet this argument wouldn't have existed had BBL or PSL were the most famous league.
The truth is around u...how many sporting facilities are there near ur home or in ur school?
BCCI isn't in anyways helped by GOI. Its a private company which is doing well. Its the govt's duty to develop sporting infrastructure to inculcate the sporting culture and then to provide good coaches and then its the athlete's job to WIN!

Studies have compared 1RM str and hypertrophy gains in indian and white males. There was no difference, infact indian guys gained more 1RM str, crdiovascular fitness was same too. So genes are fine.
Lot of youtube rage baiters also say that indians have lowest RR allel frequency which is not true. India is incredibly incredibly diverse there are regions and communities in which this has higher frequency. RR is responsible for explosivenes but these rage baiters always fail to mention that apart from RR there are tons of more genes that are responsible for aame function. Couple of them are found in highest quantity in all Indians populations which are found lowest in west African populations. India has got botn RR and other genes that are responsible for same function.
Same goes for any other function.
Ancient indian have alwayts been taller than Europeans, on average we are short cause of colonialism induced matrrmal malnutrition and our diet.
You can also seee that richer countries on average are taller
So we can become taller them too again.

    • @Naresh-w8t
      @Naresh-w8t หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@DungarSinghChauhan true I could have said more about genetics and I have got links to the studies as well. All these rage baiters haven't read any studies or they misinterpret them.
There was a study that was popular at one time which stated that we will need to do twice as work to achieve same results as Caucasian but that turned out to be false in later study when they found that there was no difference between indians and whites when it comes to resistance training cardiovascular response.
In fact in one study indian guys gained more 1RM strength and muscle mass than Europeans in upper body and in next study gained more in lower body. So again we are fine genetically.

I’ve been listening to Abhijit Chavda in the last 72 hours about what India can or cannot do about the Bangladesh situation. Obviously, Abhijit is a geopolitical expert and I am NOT. I accept the limitations of my knowledge.
However, I have been reflecting on this and I humbly and respectfully disagree with his views that India will be ruined by western sanctions…We will certainly face some financial difficulties, but we will NOT be ruined/devastated as he suggests. Because we have survived economic sanctions of the West previously, when we conducted our nuclear weapons test in Pokharan under Vajpayee's leadership. Today’s India is not the same as of 1998 and we are economically, militarily and politically far more stronger to handle sanctions if it comes to that.
As AC rightfully said, "economic development" is critical for India as it drives military and political power as well. However, look at what's happening in the UK, EU and other nations where Islamists/Jihadists have infiltrated the political establishment, ransacked these countries despite being a small percentage of the local population. It is NOT at all wise to let things fester when you can nip them in the bud by prompt and timely action.
Consider this - Of what use has India's growing economic and political stature been recently, when it couldn't control riot, arson, loot and deaths that happened in the last few years under CAA-NRC, Bangalore riots, Farmer's protest, Agniveer, Manipur and so on....Badhti economic power ke saath humne kya ghanta ukhaad liya???? Yes, economics matters, but it is not the panacea to all problems. You need different solutions for different challenges.
During his lifetime, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was never equal to Aurangzeb in terms of military capabilities. His band of soldiers were ordinary citizens like farmers, iron smiths, potters, weavers etc. Yet, he had the smarts to know how to win against your opponents despite having a smaller army and limited capabilities. Maharaj knew how to maximize his strengths and minimize his weaknesses. If Maharaj would have waited to grow equally powerful as Aurangzeb, then Hindavi Swaraajya” would have remained just a pipe dream.
Likewise, Maharana Pratap fought against Mughals working together with unskilled tribals. The world is full of stories where underdogs (Davids) have beaten seemingly insurmountable opponents (Goliaths). You need to the “will” and the “mindset” that thinks this is”possible” if done the right way.
Also, Abhijit mentioned in this podcast that he expects the USA to acquire St.Martin’s Island near Bangladesh and set up a military base over there. Once this happens, it will be near impossible for India to uproot the USA from its neighbourhood (even if India becomes a $25 Trillion economy). Which is why re-sizing Bangladesh seems critical and necessary to me. If the USA can play dirty to protect its interests, why can’t India do what is in its best interests???
In my humble opinion, TIME is giving India a "once in a lifetime opportunity" to resolve the Bangladeshi infiltration issue, the Siliguri corridor issue, and the regional imbalance of power. India must step up, annex some Bangladeshi lands and absorb them into India so that the Hindu refugees can be settled over there. This will also balance demographics in North East of India against the rampant Christian/Islamic conversions in that region. Yes, this will cause some discomfort in the short run...but it will payoff in the long run. It will deter China/USA's influence in the region to a great extent. When you are dealing with the wicked...think and act like the wicked.
Otherwise, sit on your ass twiddling thumbs and keep blaming "DESTINY".

As a doctor what i can see is with vinesh is that she was overweight for the 50 kg event from the beginning. wrestlers go overweight for these events. 60% of our bodyweight is water. wrestlers dehydrate a lot to loose water weight to fall into the weight category before weighting since they loose lots of water they will fall into the weight category. Wrestlers go to tournaments with extra weight as it gives advantage in wrestling. For first day she had enough time to maintain this dehydration and fall under the 50 kg. when she got hydrated she gained weight for the fight and would wrestle with this added weight advantage. For the next day weighting she didn't have enough time to dehydrate again. this is why she was trying to sweat out a lot. she was admitted to hospital because of dehydration. This practice of dehydrating is called weight cutting which is a very dangerous practice and can lead to kidney failure and even sometimes death also. To discourage this dangerous practice weighting are done next day also before every fight. Her nutritionist and coach messed up with their calculations and she gained a lot of weight as a result of that she was found overweight. This may have been prevented if the athlete and coach had entered the Olympics at a lower natural weight of 1-2 kg to manage her weight cut in a better way.

+1 going by the dont blame the person, blame the process approach, their coach and Vinesh herself should come clear about the preparation they did for the weight cutting for this specific instance! [Source: Boria Majumdar], After talking to the staff he confirmed, During First Weigh In her weight was 49.9 kg, thus Qualified. For the match day, she was given food and hydration support which was meant to take her weight up by 1.5 kg but instead shoot up by 2.7 kg. By this time, the support staff already knew this was miscalculated and thereafter did those things to try and manage and still came short by 100gm. Now not only this was grave miscalculation, but also highlights the aspects of her recovery post second weigh in if that had happened. If they want to help out clearing disambiguity they can release their preparation details in public domain for data based approach, otherwise the conspiracy theories will go on with full swing and down the line it will be something like that spring in Ponting's bat in 2003 xD

#askabhijit sir I have been following you and you have changed my outlook towards life. Thank you. I have been raising standards, reading books and learning about physics and history.
I am an IT professional. I have 2 questions.
1- how do I increase my memory and knowledge retention scientifically, does diet help?
    And
    2-
ind-iran-russia-china can't create an axis? if we trade heavily with these nations, US sanctions can't hurt us.

    • @HadddHarami
      @HadddHarami หลายเดือนก่อน

We are already trading heavily with Russia and China, China was the largest trading partner of ours in FY 2023-24. We also bought a lot of oil from Russia and also sold it to European Countries.
The thing is US is shifting its manufacturing Supply Chain to India as of now because of their China +1 policy, that's why you see companies like Apple and Samsung starting to produce their phones in India similar things are happening in EV batteries, Solar Panels, other electronic items.
So, it doesn't favour us now to upset the US by buying oil from Iran or by increasing our mutual coalition with China too much. Because America would not like it and might start to see India as a completely hostile nation to them. We are trying to balance out our relations between China, Russia, Iran and the USA. Because that's what suits us for now. Maybe in the next 20 years when this process of Supply Chain shift to India, under the China +1 policy, will be done and we will be around a 10-12 trillion dollars economy we can start to move away from the US and hence improving our relations with Russia and Iran.
China and India relations will never be good because we both see each other as competitor's and both countries will want to have as much influence as they can for their countries.

    • @ritesh.prakash

Give it time, it'll heal!! And if it still hurts after years have passed, then remove your attention from it and except the inevitablity of Death - the only truth! Surrender to this fact of life and it'll hurt less! Accepting this fact might make us gloomy initially but when you have faith in your God and when you accept this as their "leela" and surrender to them, things would become more beautiful!

Regarding Vinesh's issue: Wrestlers usually have their weight checked early in the morning on match day. After the weigh-in, they typically gain some weight to have an advantage in the fight. If they win, they must cut weight again before their next match. Even Aman Sehrawat, who won bronze For us . He lost nearly 4.6 kgs just 10 hours before his bronze medal match.

Indian opposition shouldn't do much fuss about Bangladesh or else they would be digging their own grave. India is a federal nation. Every states have their own governments too.
Opposition parties are heavily powerful in many states. In West Bengal it's an autocratic regime. So if they do much mumbo-jumbo we would create Bangladesh 2.0 in West Bengal & Mamata will have to flee even in a much worser condition( already students protests may start here after a MD woman doctor was gangraped in RG Kar Medical College).
Next, Stalin, Kerala, Karnataka, Punjab . So be careful opposition. Know your position. 😂😂

From the Central Government Khelo India scheme, Gujarat alone received twice the budget as multiple better sporting states all together combined. And still Gujarat was unable to produce world class athletes despite receiving highest budget per capita while other states are able to produce world class athletes with lesser budget per capita from central government. Clear case of favoritism by Central government towards Gujarat and this ongoing favoritism led to India's disaster performance at Olympics and we will continue to have disaster performance in future unless Central government allocates budget based on merit.

I agree with you Sir, There’s a video posted by think school channel on TH-cam analyzing the investment option of hosting Olympic Games by a nation. And the channel claims that it is not a perfect investment in this age and time financially. It’s more pure financial perspective if the stadiums are not used ever again. It might very well happen in India but if the administration is done rite in sports and education. Then definitely such stadiums should not go to waste. I have personally seen the lack of proper usage of the sports facilities built in Hyderabad, for Afro Asian games. It has been neglected but has it been wasted, I don’t think so, we don’t have enough stadium like facilities in India and we should come out of this cricket fever as an only sport available in the market in India. I think it takes time. Legalization of betting but with proper regulations can increase the interest in all sporting events. May be any modern solutions for all sporting events will increase interest too. We should innovate for the better and not for the detriment of any specific sport. This is my opinion.
