Brown Jenkins is terrifying. Yeah, this one gave me bad dreams too. Glad to see some of the more obscure Lovecraft tales being covered. looking forward to your thoughts on the Hound.
Yes, I read this when I was about 15 and it freaked me out too. I forgot who was the author but never forgot the story... when I 'found' Lovecraft again in my 20s I rediscovered this gem. Great vid mate.
@@jackflashman3322 It's possible. Edgar Rice Burroughs did crossovers with his novels, but H.P. actually encouraged other writers to write their own stories set in his world. He was way ahead of his time, regardless.
Read this once and it sticks with you for the rest of your life. Also, if possible, you really need to watch that Cabinet of Curiosity episode. And if you like it there are other Lovecraft stories adapted in different episodes

@CPWebster Lovecreft would have blown 15-year-old me's mind! Cheers, friend! 🤘
👍!
Is Lovecraft the first author (at least in English) to build such a large universe so deliberately?

Very cool. I do something similar with my series on Conan. Awesome stuff!
@@kevintowle9665 I'm caught up on your Conan stuff! Can't wait to hear what you think of the rest of the series.

@@TheBookGraveyard I watched like two episodes of that when it first came out. I need to pick it back up again. Guillermo del Torro is the man!
I'm leaving this comment for the algorithm!
