Fully blend pigment before adding hardener/catalyst to give more time in application, with high ambient temperature it can set rapidly.

you can use suppresant styrene to reduce the odor by 70%

do you add 2% MEK based on the total weight of the gelcoat and pigment, or just the gelcoat?

Get a graduated syringe for big batches or count drops per ounce. And those are ounces by volume not weight.

What if you add pigment to clear gel coat?

You get a bolder colour :) in this video they use white because it makes a more pastel style of colour but if you were to add it to clear gel coat you would get it fairly similar to how it appears in the container pre mixture

Hi. Do you or anyone know if there is something you can add to polyester resin to eliminate the odor/smell of polyester resin?

The odor you smell is the styrene in the resin. The styrene promotes the crosslinking of the resin. Without it, it would work. You can try epoxy resin. It doesn't have a strong smell like polyester.

One lot of pigment would have been enough and pigment the resin too to make sure.

What kind of pigment is it? What is it made of?

The pigment is compatible with polyester and epoxy resins.
