Having a dog is so much fun. A brand new responsibility but so worth it.
A childhood friend had a Doberman. She was a great dog. She was protective, yet loving. If she didn't see you let in by her humans, she knew you weren't supposed to be there. Her name was Lady.
Magic month is the BEST month!!! Happy new year beautiful nerd! Dogs are like having a kid, so expensive, but the ROI is way better, lol 🐕yay extra spending money!!!!

I just lost my Doberman back in April, "Jake". He was the most loyal dog, and very protective. But that is what I wanted. Anytime someone would pull in the driveway, he would let us know they were there. I highly recommend a Doberman for protection. He was also a lovebug. I loved him so much. Having a Doberman is a great choice! I hope we get to see it when you get it. :)

Dobermans are wonderful for protection. We have a doberman puppy and he will start protection training this year. My advice is to heavily research the breeder and the lineage of the puppy you're looking at getting. Dobermans are prone to heart issues so we plan to do cardiovascular testing annually which is an extra expense but well worth it, DCM is a huge issue with dobermans. Some carry it in their genes and others can just develop it. Dobermans are very sweet but also a lot of work esp in the puppy phase 😂
Also I would recommend a female doberman for protection, from a training perspective females are more likely to bond with 1 person whereas males bond to the whole family (and are a little goofy-er lol)

We have two Dobermans. They are the best dogs in the world. I recommend a female. Our female is not near as high-energy as our male. She also reads situations a lot better, as our male tends to act before he thinks at times. She is protective, smart, and laid back. One thing to keep in mind is that they tend to have neurological issues, we have had no issues with our female but our male does get head tremors at times.

dobermans are such lovely and sweet dogs! super recommend them as a breed 💛 just please please do not mutilate their ears or tail :( it’s illegal in most countries for a reason. their natural features are so beautiful!
Keep practicing on your 2A when getting licensed. A dog is a 15-20 year commitment. I think Dobermans have heart issues in the breeding. What about looking at rescue groups instead of buying?
Can you explain how you pay your car payment to decrease interest payments? We have a pretty high car payment and $300 goes straight to interest 😬
