    I totally feel that income comparison thing. Recently went from 50 to 75k and already starting to think about the next step in income because of how much some friends in the same industry are making.
    While healthy comparison is good for motivation, it’s important to not let it take away from what you’ve accomplished.
    We’re all on our own journey!

    I totally understand your feelings of lack. I have them too. When my husband and I did our taxes this year, I was shocked to find out that I made 6 figures and didn’t even know it. I have a regular job and a side hustle. It was the side hustle that put me in my 6 figure number. I still feel like I don’t make enough and I’m working on feeling happy and satisfied with my regular job income. I don’t plan on side hustling forever. I’m working on feeling comfortable with my one income.

      hii!! yes great idea 💖 a few quick tips in the meantime:
      - go to the store more frequently and only buy what you need
      - avoid "super stores" as they are filled with so much temptation (some of the superstores here have clothes, homewares, etc. and it's easy to get distracted)
      - avoid buying snacks like chips, crackers, cookies as these tend to be expensive (and unhealthy lol, although delicious)

    Thank you soooo much for your vulnerability to share these numbers with us!!!! (I hope this doesn’t come off the wrong way but) I’ve been budgeting for a while and trying to build up an emergency fund and always wondering if the number I had was “enough”, so seeing that I have a similar amount to you just made me so relieved bc I really admire you! And I think it’s really brave of you to publicly share your finances like this online so thank you thank you thank you! ❤

    • @ZoePritchard
      @ZoePritchard  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hiii thank you 💖💖💖 so glad you got comforted by hearning the numbers! I know how stressful it can be when people are like “your emergency fund should $XYZ” and you’re like ok but even just saving up $X is a lot! I’ll see comments from time to time saying $10k is not enough but at the end of the day its not a science, it’s about a number that makes you feel safe and confident (in my opinion 🤪) xo

    There was a great podcast on the art of manliness about contentment and he mentioned that we can identify what feels wealthy to each of us. Spending more money in those areas that make us feel wealthy will increase our happiness versus spending everywhere. For example if you are happy buying books and going to Vermont each year that can feel wealthy for you versus spending money on things you don’t

    in regards to your credit card bills, you can possibly call your credit card company and ask what can be done about lowering your APR, sometimes they can do that for you so its not at 25% especially if youve got a good FICO score and a great track record of paying off your credit card o:

    I'm a 20 year old guy who is saving up to finance a 3 year old truck, about to move out my parents place once I get the truck in a few months. Iv got a full time job as a carpenter and a part time job in the army, once I get the truck I gotta figure out how to start my own lawn maintenance business. Between a full time career, a part time job in the army, about to finance a vehicle, about to move out (meaning new bills and expenses)... my life has been a little bit stressful lol, but this video has been so incredibly helpful by educating me on how to create a budget that applies to a weekly, monthly, and yearly breakdown. Thank you for making this video, I feel a lot more confident in my ability to make all the things going on in my life work!

But I always love to see that there are also pepople who can not stick to budget every time so i dont feel a failiure. My lack of experience managing my own money made me too anxious and careless about it. Watching this type of videos really teach me a lot.
    Also, about comparison, I can relate. Unfortunately, seeing people everywhere living a luxurious lifestyle (specially on social media) impact so much. My anxiety over money has always been about how can I live up to unclear and delusional dreams of mine, when those dreams itself are products of other people's lifestyle and what they show, not what I really want.
    Anyway, loved the video! Keep up with your amazing work ❤

    I don’t even keep the app for my savings account on my phone. I like to set it and forget and let it be out of site so it’s out of mine. Such a great surprise when I check around Christmas and I allow myself to buy one thing to treat myself. I brought a iPad Air last year, a Ruby ring the year before and before that I took myself out to a fancy restaurant!

    • @ZoePritchard
      @ZoePritchard  ปีที่แล้ว

      hi!! i only use the cash for my day-to-day spending, so my rent and bills come right out of my bank account. If my bills are higher than income, I would see what I can cut out from the cash budget (ie reducing "treat yourself" or going cheaper on groceries, etc.)

    Only half way in & wanted to say that some people that look like they are doing well financially - have finances that are in the toilet (Caleb hammer did a budget audit on a manifesting influencer recently that was like that)... and plenty of people who have 6-figure incomes also barely make it from pay to pay - because they are not careful...

      Hi! I only carry what I need with me (before I leave the house I think about where I'm going / what I might spend on) so I don't feel anxious or vulnerable :)

    Love love this method. Please tell me you’re actually making more than 1% on your taxes savings account though 😢 cash gets you over 4% now in high yield accounts! ❤

    So, do you just do direct deposit for all income and then go withdraw what you need for cash envelope/monthly budgets once a month? To be clear xx Or do you do income by checks?

      yess! its so hard because I film for so long and edit it down to 30-40 minutes 😂 theres no time to cover it all! BUT your comment made me think of maybe doing a separate “what i spend in a month” monthly vid to accompany the money resets… what do you think? 💖

    Be content with what you have. That's the Christian way. It's OK to work for more, but stay content if more doesn't come. When you are content, more usually comes to you on its own.

    too much talking about context and sounds slightly apologist....I think you have a great presence and message. Suggest you not "teach" and reference "it's easy for us to" and stick to "I do this" and "I learned this" --- avoid the language of superficial influencers, which I think you are far beyond and have much more to offer. Great job otherwise.
