Man, I've done a No Powers run, AND I've done a No Detection/Kills run, and I felt like a beast.
You sir, have humbled me to my core.
I am planning a very hard no kill, no detection on iron man. If I somehow manage that... I'll add no powers to it.
@@Snoogen11 No powers def makes the no kill, no detection run waaaay harder. Good luck!
I did it and also gathered all blueprints/runes. Honestly it isn't that hard, I've 200 hours in this game though.
That's how I did my blood and steel. No powers, no alerts and no kills
No kill no detect is really easy for this game. No Powers effectively lengthens the run time of that playthrough by a lot however. I’ve never finished the game with no powers because it’s fun but restrictive. I had most fun playing with interesting builds. Finished the game like 20 times. Once in an hour and one minute (not a big accomplishment if you look at the WR but i was much younger and was on xbox so i couldn’t do most of the speed strats).
Secret easy stealth trick to the Dust District: Spending a comically long amount of time solving the puzzle yourself. I remember playing the game when it first came out and got a bunch of papers to solve the door code riddle, it was truly an emotional experience.
I did that too! Then I just went through the whole district anyway cause I didn't want to miss anything lmao. It was a fun puzzle
It takes a long time the first few times, but once you realise the names of the guests and cities and whatnot will always fit in the same pattern based on the order in which they appear in the riddle, you can write down that pattern and fill it up right away
Also, solving the riddle without finding the answer in the level gives another achievement. Unfortunately, it doesn't become void if you find the answer and then reload, meaning you can totally cheese it if you're not in the mood for solving it yourself
Deadass me too! Too much pride to go and get a hint, I wanted that puzzle glory myself!
Or you can just find out from one of the gang leaders and then load an earlier save
@@S.--S---S.-..S-.-- nah my honor would know I didn't solve that shit myself
When you were zapping Jindosh's brain and said something like 'how is this the moral option?' it reminded me of one of my favorite things about dishonored. The non-lethal options aren't morally correct, they aren't about being the better person, or anything like that.
It's the characters trying to actively give their enemies fates worse than death. It's not about doing the right thing, or getting revenge, even, it's about sending a message that Corvo/Emily are Not To Be Fucked With.
I think some are more moral than others though
@@primary2630Lord regent and dauds from the first game are, the others not so much.
yeah like for the boyle mansion mission how it's implied you just gave her to a human trafficker/rapist/ whatever the fuck else
Or how you just get the pendelton twins’ tongue cut out and are Enslaved out to work in mines
Right, it's like If I kill you instead, it means I'm in a good mood. haha
Nothing better than a video cataloging Snam pushing his sanity to the brink for our enjoyment.
Not sure if that indicates if something is wrong with us or if it's just normal human behavior. Hmm? Oh well!
Bro just described every snam video
Insanity is both good and bad. How you enact it is what really matters. In the end do we not both win? One takes his insanity out on something harmless (video game challenges) while the ones watching enjoy his misery and content
I remember doing the no kills and not being spotted on Dishonored 1. It was annoying, but fun to see all the alternate ways of taking out your targets non lethally.
I remember doing it until I was forced to kill someone at almost the end, and I rage quit.
Best thing about a non leathal run was always that the supposed "more humane" options to dispatch your targets were ususally SO MUCH worse than a simple bullet to the head.
And then you get through the longest mission only to discover someone you'd choked out had fallen from their safe spot, where rats could get them, fucking up your run and you gotta redo the whole mission.
@@shinrailp1416 Yeah, lol. Wasn't one of the eliminations basically handing someone over to a creepy dude who was definitely going to do questionable things to her?
@@TuffMelon yeah, there not being a way to see your stats mid mission was a pain in the ass. I had to restart 2 or 3 missions. And being stealthy the whole time makes them draaaaaag. It’s soul crushing when you wasted 30+ minutes lol
you took the most inconvenient and hard paths in every level and still got it done, this was great
Watching him sneak through the ground level of A Long Day in Dunwall when he could've just hopped on the train as soon as he left Dunwall Tower actually pained me.
lol thats what i did too@@maxwhite4177
Finally a game where I have the achievements Snams talking about. I remember really enjoying the no power run because it made me appreciate the level design more. Its very rare you are locked out of an area completely if you don't have powers.
Yeah, there’s always a way to complete the level no matter the circumstance! (Even if the circumstance is very hard lol)
Same lol I 100%d all 3 dishonored games and 1 was definitely the hardest
I replay this game at least once a year, I obtained the achievements same way you did, it's nice to see another person suffer and enjoy it at the same time
I’ve done it on Dishonored already, in the middle of my Dishonored 2 run now.
I am SOO glad you actually check in-game while in the level still if you have been seen or not. this saved me a ton of anxiety at the end of each level :')
Probably not much help now but a lot of the elevators (that don't bring you to a new cell, just a different floor in the same cell) have a door built into the ceiling that lets you get on top of them. In addition to being a handy place to hide, they're also pretty great places to stash unconscious guards if you don't want to attract extra attention.
This is good info for Dishonored 1 in the future haha
@@SnamwichesDishonored 1 features almost no elevators- or maybe none at all.
It is probably good for Death of the Outsider though.
Dishonored 2 is my favorite videogame and this was so fun to watch!
Now, I’ll give everyone an advice for the first mission (and I’ll be available for anything else if you just ask me).
There is a trick to basically skip half of the first mission. First, right after you leave the Tower, you have to continue walking on the rooftops. Turn left and jump on a black pipe and from there traverse a bridge that connects the two buildings. However wait in the middle of the bridge. After some seconds a train will pass under you, so you simply have to jump down on it. The train will get you to the entrance of the second section. Just before reaching it, quickly turn right and jump over the spiky fence (be careful because it can damage you and make you fall). Finally, hide behind the tree and wait for the guard to turn his back on you, so you can climb up the pipes and enter an abandoned apartment. Traverse it, go all the way to the right, climb up where the train passes and go towards the ship. Then you jump in the water and swim towards the ship.
This always works. Good luck!!
The funny thing about Jindosh's mansion is that it didn't have to be anywhere near as hard as it was for you, like 99% of the difficulty with that area is just from not understanding how the mansion works. Once you do understand though that could've definitely been one of the easiest parts of the run, as you didn't need to take the elevator which leaves you only actually needing to worry about 6 guards (4 of which are isolated) and 4 clockwork soldiers.
Probably the only things easier is Stilton's mansion which is primarily navigated without powers anyways, so it's just a normal non-lethal stealth run of the mission, and the entire dust district mission which you can genuinely just completely skip it by solving the riddle yourself.
Yeah I ran this game so many times and Jindosh's mansion is one of the easier moments.
i know im late but wasn't taking Sokolov the worst choice making everything harder? im not completely sure
@@procionedoro7125 Not really because you can grab him at the way out in a certain route, and if you time it
right there's only like 5 enemies to be worried about
This game is what i tell people is my favorute game when asked. Ive done a non lethal powerless ghost on both characters. I still have a clip where during one of the runs i threw clorophorm at an enemy on some stairs, a few seconds later their friend walked into the cloud, fell over, dropped their booze, and burned them both alive. Good times, love this game.
Snam, I love your videos. I'm not much of a stream watcher myself but I love that you clip and cut the streams into bite sized videos that actually look like they're intended to be watched as vids. Plus your cheery attitude and infections "Whaaaat" keeps me coming back for more. Thanks!
LMAO I’ll add an extra whaaaat in the next vid just for you
@@Snamwiches you're the GOAT 😎
6:34 that man came over there to rat you out then explode into confetti.
The key to a stealth run is understanding the geometry of the game around you and the routs of the enemies.
You’d have had such an easier time on mission 1, for example, if you’d kept to the right of the map instead.
Oh god, this is turning into a live react. The PAIN I felt watching him slashing away at blood flies when there’s SO MANY FLAMMABLE BOTTLES lying around is severe.
_AND_ Hypatia’s lab has a window to behind the watch tower.
As others have mentioned, you can get on top of the elevator in a few ways. But even more than that, there’s multiple windows to get behind the walls in Jindosch Mansion.
That’s not true, you can indeed get around the wall of light by climbing even without powers.
This is a recurring thing in the play through where verticality is simply not being explored.
You’d have had a LOT easier time if you started looking up and around for more routes.
Ah yes, the classic “well guess stealth isn’t an option.”
Yeah, the mansion is a puzzle that once you solve is just a matter of execution.
You can entirely skip the elevator by using a secret door that leads to Emily’s Safe Room.
[Edit: not Emily’s safe room, I meant Jessamine’s secret room behind the fire place on near Corvo’s bedroom.]
Sassy
To your last point, no you can't
If you go up to the outside door of the safe room and go inside you'll see that hallway closed off by tentacles with a note that says that they want to make sure no one can enter through this secret passage
@@blinkachu5275 sorry, not her safe room, the secret room behind that fire place.
On the hardest difficulty, non lethal and with no powers, plus making Delihla a funny ragdoll that survives a 3 floor fall. Another amazing vid!
She’s tougher than she looks I guess, and she already looked pretty tough haha
An alternate way to get past the Dust District under this set of restrictions is to just solve the Jindosh Lock's logic puzzle yourself. Which is either much simpler, or much, MUCH harder, depending on how good you are at logic puzzles.
Or you could solve it on your own for the achievement, then do the entire level anyway for fun and goodies.
Just the video I needed to help push through this last day of the week, honestly Snam has easily become one of my favorite youtubers because his content always lifts my spirits lol 🔥
The droids aren't considered kills by the game. But if you want an advantage over them without destroying them, a headshot blinds them but you need to be really precise. (They can't see anymore but they can still hear)
Love how he does all of this, without mapping, without planning, and without an actual understanding of no powers stealth runs xD proven by calling up an arc pylon straight into his face.
Every single time I’m like “I wish snam would drop a video” he does the damn thing!
On lvl 6 (dust district) you can also take out both targets and put them in crates in a shop between the two outposts. You gotta find the key to the inner part of that building though
Huge tip for people stealthing the first mission, that cart on the tracks you can ride it, and it takes you to the end of the section where you can just hop into the water.
I love how he doesn’t freak out but laughs to his own pain instead 😂
Dude, I can't recall a single moment Snam has ever shouted angrily. He difinitely shouts with self-disappointment, and he occaisionally has a neutral expression, but he never frowns, he's never angry, he's never sad. He is THE most positive TH-camr. Not even Wolfychu can make that claim.
I remember beating the first game on very hard, without any kills and without getting spotted while not using any powers and not knocking anyone out, it was a blast but it was annoying to restart each and every time i got spotted. I've yet to get my hands on the second game, but it will be a blast too. Liked the vid btw, you've done a great job.
I did the same thing back in 2019, you can see the 3 achievements were all unlocked at the same time on Steam at 16:26. It's both a very frustrating and very satisfying challenge, and also makes you more involved in the game than you could ever be on a normal playthrough lol
I think you got the timestamp wrong
Nice one!! Glad to see this game getting some love, it’s one of my favourites too. I did this challenge around the time the game came out just to see if it could be done…so painful. Although I cheated on mission 6 by rampaging through to get the puzzle solution then reloading to use it haha.
12:44 "Just ask Tua."
Yea Snam! Call out the Dolphins!
Honestly might be my favourite game ever, I've also completed this game in every possible challenging combination and loved (almost) every second of it.
30:42 Is such a great moment, reminds me of when I learned something new I could do with powers in the same level.
It's finally here! I've been so excited for this, I suggested this months ago and have been super eager to see Snam handle Dishonored 2.
Idea: Every time Snam finishes a game's hardest achievements he should add it to the tier list he made already.
Lmao this was hilarious and fun as hell to watch! Great video as usual. It makes me want to play Dishonored 😂
You gotta man it’s such a good series
- do not take the most direct route. The level design in Dishonored 2 is amazing and alternate paths have been placed all over the levels specifically to facilitate a stealthy no powers run.
- climb stuff. The beauty of Dishonored 2 is that anything that looks climbable probably is, specifically to allow different playstyles, since the Dishonored series is pretty much an immersive sim. If you study the level design you'll find conveniently placed objects that let you climb up and above the line of sight of guards, or ledges outside buildings you can walk across.
- use all the sleep darts and stun mines you need by buying or looting them from the black market shop. Stun mines can be upgraded to three charges to maximise their utility. I've placed stun mines down, made a commotion in their general direction and watched as the enemies in an area all ran into it and were shocked unconscious.
- watch out for chloroform bottles that look just like empty glass bottles which basically act as an Area of Effect sleep dart which you can throw into a group of foes to knock them all out.
- while a stealthy no killing no powers run means you can't kill any humans (or dogs I think,) bloodflies and clockwork soldiers are free game. You can slash, burn, grenade or use springrazors to deal with these enemies that you can't on humans. Drop attack clockwork soldiers to disable their heads so they can't see you, as long as you crouch and don't bump into them from then on, they won't detect you.
- probably the dirtiest trick I've done for the dust district encountering the jindosh lock - hard save in front of the jindosh lock, then run through the district killing your way to find the answer. Once you have it, take a picture of it, reload your save in front of the door, solve the riddle, and continue.
I’m super late to this video and new to your channel. But I am so happy to see you did this! I attempted these three achievements on the hardest difficulty and it took me weeks of reloading and retrying when I had just moved and was sleeping in someone’s living room years ago. I didn’t have a job at the time or my own place but this achievement kept me semi sane while I went through a hard time in my life. You rock and I love your videos!
Finally, a video I can relate to. Havent played many of the games you do vids on, but I played D2 to death when I was younger. Definitely in my top 3 favorite of all time
Snam is my new favourite TH-camr! I watched through all his videos but we need more! Bring on the achievements!!
Doing this 100% myself was like suffering through the rat plague 😂
I'm currently playing like this, even though this game gives you two types of teleports, it amazes me how the map still is built for no powers stealth
As pissed off I've been playing this I gotta say that I absolutely LOVE how perceptive the guards are.
You feel like you've actually outsmarted the game and beaten it fair and square
Snam!!! Good to see you post king! Just played Payday 2 for the first time 3 days ago and seen it had over 1k achievements and thought of you. Love the videos and will forever support bro🫡🫡🫡
Hey Sandwich, here's a challenge. No take outs of non primary targets. Means you have to sneak around everyone. That's probably not doable without powers though.
I feel that knocking out enemies makes the challenge trivial. In the first game I was going for a run where I'm never spotted, no bodies found and no kills. I tried to avoid even touching anyone. I think for main targets a choke out was unavoidable, but that meant that all the other enemies were roaming free. Combine that with going for 100% collectibles including coins and you have a mighty challenge on your hands. The game gets slightly easier once you get stop time level 2, but it costs a ton of mana, so you can't spam it too much. Litterally playing a greedy goblin ninja. Yeah, I had too much time on my hands :)
A great video (as always), with the added bonus of smack-talking da Iggles.... *chef's kiss*
1:05 but he did hear a crow
(Corvo is Italian for crow)
There’s a great level 1 skip. Go left across the rooftops instead of following the quest marker, you’ll come to a balcony where you go across the street on a banister, and from there you can drop down onto a rail cart that will take you all the way out to the harbour
Hardest difficulty, 0 spots, 0 damage. Quicksave and quick load are the strat
Dishonored 2 is an underrated masterpiece
I played no kill, stealth on my second run and Gotta say i never had more fun with a game, because the game just throws youn into the world, points in one direction and says: go. The rest is completely up to you. i love Dishonored 2
Recently finished this game after years of off and on play sessions and got a no kill and ghost with Corvo. You're a madman, that's a crazy way to play.
You know, this might be my first run that snamwiche has done that I've done too. My third run of this glorious game was the one where I decided to do this. Nothing in this game will show you how well made the world is in terms of being able to maneuver as this run, and damn it was a hard, fun run.
5:35 Snam confirmed as the orginial Hawk Tuah.
Yeah... Did all of these in one go. Ridiculous.
Just a few hundred restarts and a lot of "Don't see me, don't hear me. Don't see me, don't hear me! Argh!!!"
There are a few things that if you had known, it would have helped a lot. You can kill Hypatia, Jindosh and Duke while going for Clean Hands and Shadow. For Hypatia, you gotta get a molotov right before u go into her lab, place it behind her while she's working on her desk, then do the slide + non-lethal takedown move, it will knock her into the molotov and kill her. For Jindosh, knock him out while he is on the elevator and cut the red thing that holds it up while he is inside (make sure you quick-save before u cut it, this one is a little inconsistent). For Duke there is a RNG factor to it, the real one needs to be the one in his chambers, all you gotta do is walk up to him and say he's the body double, then you're free to blast him in the face. None of those methods will count as kills.
That’s actually really cool to know, I swear I learn something new about this game every playthrough
What I find interesting about the Dishonored achievements is that they’re very doable even for the average gamer, however they just take so much patience and save scumming to get through that most people wouldn’t bother going for them. That includes a lot of mental resilience too, because choking guys to sleep in Dishonored is just so boring when you know you could be assassinating everyone with your blade and cool powers.
That Psychopass reference was cathartic thank you
I like that this game allows you to not engage in combat all the way to the end but when you do, the tutorials are there just in case. 😂
Do yoh plan on doing the Halo MCC LASO achievements?
locking Ramsey in the vault and taking the food is one of the funniest things ever
I remember the first time I seen them look under a table and I was like "Wait that's ILLEGAL."🤣
Brother choose the worst path in every situation lol 😂
Also never look up for way to climb
I love this game too. Keep 'em coming Snam you legend! I had such a rough time doing unseen, some of it was so buggy and like "wait what??"
My favorite part of the video is how you make it worse on yourself multiple times, for example, not realizing you can make the Robots blind by shooting them in the face until the VERY end.
Don't worry about the bad joke at the start, as a dad I hereby grant you, Snamwitches, the dad joke card.
Use it wisely.
34:31 Song name is Two Dragons from Yakuza 0.
It's a certified banger
i just discovered your chanel and have binge watched a load your a great host and have extreme patience
30:45
That was helluva hilarious 😂😂
The horror I felt when you started talking about the 3 different achievements because I knew what you were going to do you *mad man*
A true Eagles fan would know there’s never any hope for the Eagles. But we believe in Snam!
Nothing defines Snam more than being the ultimate pacifist with the Doom music in the background.
THE SOLARIS PHASE 2 MUSIC AT 18:35 HAD ME DYING 🤣🤣🤣🤣
As always, a fantastically entertaining video that showcases your immense amount of patience and mental fortitude to keep going until you've achieved your goal.
Thanks for another great video.
(^-^)
X
On the first level you can actually reach jump on the tram that comes by early on and it takes you all the way to the end without being spotted. It’s fast, easy to do, and effective.
that emily powerof linking guards to put them all asleep with one dart really comes in handy
That Elevator is not the only way up. There is a path through a fake window on that same floor that can get you up to the higher floor. I think there is another as well but I don't remember what it is. And there is at least one that gets you down to the assessment floor as well. Or you can get to it from Jindosh's lab after you get over there. In Jindosh's apartment there is a pipe on the outside that you can get on and climb down around to bypass things to get to the lab.
The first problem was him going sneaky around the whole city segment at the beginning, you can literally take the train all the way to docks , then jump to the water and swim to the right side of the ship.
I think that 2nd robot didn't spawn because the devs threw you a bone after too many failed attempts. I've noticed with a lot of games its like this. If you fail too many times the difficulty will remain the same but enemies will choose different paths or not even spawn to help you out.
Haha maybe, was kinda an empty gesture one I realized the Jindosh room was gonna be harder though lol
I did a run where I wasn't spotted ever and killed nobody. It is one of my rarest achievements, but not even I would do what you did. Good shit man
I'm so happy that you kept in hitting the homeless guy with the bottle that was hilarious 😂
You know what
You're the best creator the algorithm has ever shown me. Bless it.
So pumped for a new video! Great way to start the weekend
Ah yes, a Clean, Flesh, Shadow, Very Hard run.
I did the same for Dishonored back years ago and damn was it satisfying.
@@adrianlean9628 I did it on PC, I’m a PC gamer
you are truly insane and I will sit here and enjoy this pure chaos!!
One of my favorite video game series
i love that people still play this awesome game
I remember having quite a bit of fun working on Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider, Dishonored 1 not so much. Moreso the Dunwall Trial DLC achievements since some of those are brutal.
By My Hand Alone is pure agony because there's nothing worse than trying to make sure enemies don't kill each other through 13 different rounds. Another one I hated was Daredavil which has you needing to do a bunch of trick jumps which can be quite a pain in the ass to pull off depending on how things line up in a round. 3 staring some of the expert challenges can be quite annoying as well depending on what they are.
You didn't have to make that dementor joke, but I'm glad you did. Never change lol
You can actually cheese the puzzle door if you rush through the mission, get the code, and then reload a save before you even got Detected. As the code only changes on every new playthrough
33:06 had me laughing real good.
34:55 Damn, she in that Batman "Now Talk!" pose
Wow quality content! What a youtuber to find. Hi Snam, I'm a resident now.
I loved how the duke looked at you like "pathetic", as if he knew youll run into the electric whatever 😂
Activating the power coil on yourself is so you Snam I love it xD
yess another snamwiches video and its on dishonored this is going to be the perfect watch. i always choose destruction in dishonored because no matter what i tried id always get caught
The worst enemy of dishonored on console is that FOV
I know it's too late to say this, but in the first mission, there's an alleyway you could go in that brings you to an abandoned building where you can break down it's doors to get inside, then you can get onto the rails, and from there onto the big pipe that hangs over the water, letting you jump straight in and skipping that whole final section of guards entirely.
You can also catch the train at the start of the run
Me half the time I'm playing "sir mind your business" and "no you didn't" 🙄 the other half is "frick this *sends rats on them*"
i dont know why it took me this long to sub this is top tier content obviously keep up the great work ma man !!!!!
2:20 "I feel good! I knew that I would" 🎶
My first time playing through the game was a very hard, ghost, non lethal, no powers run. I also didn't use bone charms as I feared it would mess up the no powers achievement. It was actually pretty fun trying to find routes without the teleport and I only had to restart a mission one due to me getting spotted 17 times. Also having to do the dukes mansion only 3 stun mines was a challenge within itself.
