However, the Coach boutique blew me away, it was literally an entire Luxury experience (mind you I haven’t purchased ANY contemporary since my early 20’s, until recently). I went into a Coach Boutique a few weeks back and I was blown away not only by the beautiful leather bags, but the entire experience TOP NOTCH!!! 💯
Soooo much better than my most recent LV purchases and experience at the LV boutique… I’ve purchased several bags in the past weeks at Coach, and let me tell you the leather that you get for the bag that you get definitely you get the value!

I’ve worked for both Coach Boutique and Outlet as well as some lux brands as an SA and even their outlet options are better than other brands offshoots quality wise. @@Laurenlilly902Hermès can STILL argue the point because they still have Artisans creating their bags. But LV & Chanel which have lost that “quality “ stand point due to mass production and loss of quality control. That’s a department that they probably “cut” so now they loss that soapbox to stand on. LV at least is BEGINNING to catch the hint that the shut up and just buy our stuff mangled or not tactic is no longer working and customers across product lines are demanding more and shunning for the greedy price increases and insults(aspirational). If you want to charge us an arm And a leg then the product needs to match the premium price tag. Chanel is the last holder onto that nasty sales philosophy above and are doubling down at the risk of financial and status irrelevancy. If you notice Coach and Hermès are the conversation at the moment. Chanel & LV are currently NOT except to say that the quality doesn’t match the price tag and how people are stalking preloved sites in search of what was.

I think that’s exactly right. I have Coach bags as old as 40 years that still look great. Particularly if you stick with their leather options, they are quite hard-wearing. I can’t speak to their current customer service, but when my briefcase was damaged a few years ago, they did the repair for free and charged $20 for the return shipping. Given that an exterior D-ring attachment had to be replaced, you couldn’t see any sign of repair at all. If I see someone with a coach bag, I assume they have taste and common sense. 😂

I also own several Coach bags, both boutique and outlet. Obviously the boutique bags are better quality, but I have no complaints about my outlet bags. I'm also not afraid or worried when I carry my Coach & Dooney bags, as opposed to my LV bags. I carry them with joy in my heart, because I love them so much, and am not worried they might get a scratch, stain, or God forbid water mark. Also, I think Coach's SLGs are better quality and value. I have bought from nearly all the big designer houses (Hermes, Chanel, Dior, LV, Bottega, Fendi, etc.) and I also own three Coach bags, the most recent one being the Quilted Tabby 26. I LOVE my new Quilted Tabby. I have five Chanel bags (four of them classic flaps) and no longer feel safe wearing them out, so I bought the Quilted Tabby since it gives off a similar vibe. Turns out I love it even more because I don't need to be precious with it and the leather is buttery smooth. If people like me who own Chanel flaps are buying this bag, and people who could never afford a Chanel bag are buying this bag, Coach is hitting that perfect sweet spot where different types of consumers are buying their products.

It could be argued that the delicate nature of the Chanel classic flap is what makes it a luxury, in contrast to Coach having better functionality. Both good leathers but one is delicate for an occasional wear bag and the other is supple and soft, yet hardy for a great day-to-day bag. Luxury is usually something you don’t have or use often, due to its high expense.

So I’m gonna go deep and I’m going to say because I have experienced some family loss this year and the past year, that anything material that brings a smile to your face can be considered luxury whether it comes with a hefty price tag or not. Price and affordability is subjective to different people in different areas and different walks of life. Having said that, I’ve never owned Chanel or Hermes, but I have owned quite a bit of Coach in my day, and there hasn’t been one time I’ve opened a package that it hasn’t brought a smile to my face. At this time of my life, THAT … IS luxury.

Coach was very passé and cheap feeling and looking in the late 90's to early 2000's I want to say. Then around 2015 with new creative director they reinvented themselves and I've been addicted since then. I have Chanel, Gucci, LV, Chloe, and other "luxury" bags but my coach bags are my go to...I feel comfortable and safe carrying them at all times. This is true for Coach retail only IMO and the leather versions not the canvas and logo stuff. Although the canvas is good quality it just reeks of that cheap late 1990’s-2000’s Coach that I hated. Coach is definitely higher than Michael Kors level.

Vintage COACH, early 1990's was a brand that if you know, YOU KNOW. What I would consider "quiet luxury". Excellent leather craftsmanship with a great history. Apart from the hangtag that said COACH, (if you knew the brand), you recognized the styles and knew it was Coach. My very first "luxury" bag was the COACH Wallis. Not Willis, Wallis. It was a simple all leather, dark navy crossbody half moon flap bag (postman's lock) with a back slit pocket, all brass hardware. Made in the USA. I still have it to this day. My next 4 Coach bags were all made in the USA. Fast forward to early 2000's when Coach switched gears and started plastering their "C" logo everywhere and suddenly production was moved to China. They LOST me as a customer and I never shopped Coach again. Whoever took over back then, ruined the brand (to me) with quirky logos that catered to teen-somethings equating the brand to Michael Kors which I detest. Coach had lost their way. They should go back to their roots, bring production back to the USA and get RID of the "C" logo

Coach been around since 1941, but because its not from France or England then everyone put them down. I've always loved Coach leather since childhood. Yes its made in China like Tory Burch or most US Handbag Brands, I don't think we can change that but its fun, colors are fun and they have prices that fit most people budget. I love the Ruby. Coach Outlet is different than Coach Retail. I try to only buy from the Retail because the Outlet is different material. Many of the full grain good bags takes a long time to go down.

Vintage coach, like the Willis bag, those coach bags were solid and well made. My mom used to wear them, and the leather felt thick and sturdy. Today’s bags are better than what they were 8 years ago or so, leather wise and style wise. But I will never pay full price for Coach these days, having paid full price in the past, I think it makes more sense to wait because most likely it will be on sale at some point. A big fan of the Cassie 19 and the Soft Tabby Shoulder bag.

There's a difference between Coach Outlet and Coach . I either go to the boutique or Coach online (Coach Outlet is also online, so there's a difference). Coach has excellent quality and the price is right. Coach also has sales and some of the less popular styles go to the Coach Outlet after a while, but Coach has good quality and you won't get mugged for it.
Coach is also a great brand to go under the radar if you can afford true luxury brands. Great way to avoid the lowered quality of LV and Chanel plus huge price increases.

I own Chanel, Fendi, Dior, LV, etc. and still love my Coach bags. Another thing, they are never boring. Most big luxury buyers are surprised when they first check out Coach. Most people who buy Coach have always bought Coach instead of those big luxury brands. Nothing new there.

    I think a lot of
People don’t know the difference between an outlet bag and a retail bag. You will almost always pay full price at coach retail, unless there a semi annual sale. They person says “Michael kors category” has never stepped foot in a retail store and only has shopped outlet. They make specific bags for the outlet and more high quality at retail. I have so many brands in my collection from LV to coach and I will say the fact that coach is the only brand that people are debating on says a lot about the quality of the brand. People are confused about how you can pay only $500 for a bag that is not falling apart like a Chanel bag is lol. The fashion house is a classic and you will always see people carry thier bags.

I quite recently bought my first Coach's: bags (backpack, cabas, crossbody and PC bag), wallets ( 2 red ones and one small eazy in the pocket in brown), pouches (one brown and a dark blue matching with the cabas). Experienced with Louis, Lancel, Longchamp, Tumi, Delvaux for three decades. I'm not a newbie with leather goods.
I can say that Coach is very good ratio quality affordability IMO. For most of the bag addicts among the working class we can buy on a regular basis for our use and own pleasure. No need to sell a kidney and a bone.
The same cream as my leather sofas and they are perfect.
I will consider Coach luxury if I need and they will provide a fixing, new zipper, new strap.... Wait and see.
FYI: outlet purchases for now, no shop in Belgium... May be next time in Paris, at least in BHV...

Imho coach is a luxury fashion house. To be classified as a luxury brand seems there is no hard rule so it depends on what a person is looking for but coach has heritage pieces and too notch quality and customer service however I put them in a mid tier of luxury brands because there are business aspect of other fashion brands that coach does not have. Some people only refers to certain brands as luxury and does not even know the proper definition of 'luxury'.
