I can't get over how much better the headsculpts look in hand compared to the original promo pic. Looks awesome!
When I saw the Joker promos I thought it looked good. But yeh, surprised BK have transferred the look into the actual figure. The Batman looked ok in pics, so I wasn’t expecting a great accuracy anyways. I wanted it just to go with this Joker! He’s the star of this line!
@@Dragonoid22 yeah I mean if they can make a Joker this good then I'd love to see Catwoman, Penguin and any other characters from the Burtonverse :)

This is amazing. The 1989 Batman was a major epic fail for me. It had so many issues and looked nothing like him. But this??? This is IT. WOW
Yes, this is a great figure! Batman not so much.
@@Dragonoid22 but they have plenty of other good figures. I have bank robber joker. Interrogation scene joker. And purple coat joker. And dark knight rises bale. Also got me a Luke hobbs that I customized a little and added some elbow pads to.
I was nervous about how misleading the promo pix might be after your Keaton review, mentally preparing myself to cancel, but he is Beautiful despite his size. I also felt that in the promos the laughing head had better fidelity, I'm glad the reverse seems to be true. He's gonna look funny next to my 1/4 DeVito & 1/10 8-bit Keaton
Yes, the promo pics were excellent for Joker and it translated to this figure, apart from the laughing head like you said. But it’s good enough overall! Batman promo pics were ok but is honestly worst in hand. But now I have both, I’m happy it’s a start of a collection. There’s no other 89 line where we have both. Let’s hope Penguin and Catwoman are now released.
@@Dragonoid22 I would have no choice but to grab them both, The growth of my Burton collection has a momentum of it's own now.
I have the shf, 7inch Neca, and mezco versions of the 89.. have this joker as well but was apprehensive due to scale but had to have it…likely passing on keaton unless I can find it on sale.. figure does not look great in hand at all…

I dont like how it only looks good with the hat on cause of the slick back except the hair near the ears, to emulate the look of when his hat flattened the hair. Would be nice to see a fluffy hair version, like he is in most scenes of the film
True. They could of added it on the alternative head. Although not sure if the hat would fit as well. A fluffy hair with blood would have been great. Same with Batman.
Omg this beats anything remotely in this size. I dare say it’s almost on par with the 1/6 scale versions with less headsculpt detail due to the size limits

Correct! Although the more I look at the Batman in hand the better it is. It’s not a bad sculpt in person. It has lots of accessories too.

Ok, thanks for the suggestion. Normally i do. For some reason i skipped it as I thought the head was visible throughout. But i will definitely try and do it for future videos. Thanks!
The Batman looks better than the Mafex, still waiting on the mezco final product
It’s just based off HT. I wish it was more modern. Made by neca or mezco. Mafex would knock it out the park
Well yes, a Mafex fully sculpted w/o cloth would be the one. But i guess other companies now find it easiest to use cloth, even third party companies.
If Mezco eventually do Bats, then I can see them doing Joker but soft cloth might not be ideal.
@@Dragonoid22 I don’t mind if it’s cloth. I seen Jim Carey the mask figure in cloth at 8inch scale not too bad. My main issue the reuse of the HT head sculpt. I see it very inaccurate at least 75% accurate. I want to see new head sculpts. Like the Nicholson promo pictures side by side with micheal Keaton Batman
The 89 batman has quality problems, the joints break easily, I hope this one doesn't have that problem
Beas kingdom’s quality control is terrible think before purchasing…..My batman figure came brand new and had a broken right elbow
Yes, they are not the best when it comes to qc. My Batman paint rubbed off the chest emblem and I saw the same on some other reviews. But they still relatively new, so they still can improve. I feel they have some elements like Mezco in 1/9 scale.
