When does a hobby become a sickness??? A garage full of bikes clean enough to eat off, looks like you are starting your own museum. Love the attention to detail, your bikes brought me back to my youth. Great work!!!
I love the sound of a two-stroke motocrosser. The smell of Castrol burning on the air. Good times. You have a great collection. I'm really quite jealous.😉
This was the one Husky I raced I NEVER should have sold. I’m such a dumbass. I loved the sound that bad boy made. My wife, who was not motorcycle person, always knew when I was coming through a section, she recognized the awesome bark it made.
@@kingdebary I see you have a Maico 490 attached to your email. 3 of my friends had 490 Sand Spiders and 2 friends had KTM 495. Add my Husky WR500 and we sure moved a lot of sand, dirt, rocks, etc. that got near our back wheels. We’re all a bunch of old farts now, to screwed up to ride or are dead. I’m one of the lucky ones that still gets to ride. How did we get this damn old? Hell I still feel like a teenager.
I was lucky then. Since I got to drive my dad's 1986 KTM 500. It had upside down fork, liquid cooled engine and single rear shock suspension. But I was to small to dive it in the 80s. I drove it between 1991 and 2002.
Nice comment about a hobby being a sickness I think I am heading this way with my love for 80's dirt bikes I also have a garage full, o and a spare bedroom full,.
hello, quand j’étais jeune, j'avais une KTM 240 GS 1979,et votre machine (vos machines ) me rappelle ce temps la,belle restauration, bel engin.le seul soucis avec ces machines, c'est le kick a gauche...
actually it makes a difference, you are left or right legged. That is true, that's why Jumpers only use one leg to jump off and land, one has better stability
Bike is immaculate. I have a 82 500cr that is all original but probably in a #3 condition. Not sure to restore it or leave the original "patina" haha. Also have (2) 83 250xc's and (1)250wr. Sure would love to have that 500wr though. Thanks for posting the video.
@@ville06102 yes it will because while u are motorbreaking your piston and cylinder wont get any oil between them so why would u motobreak, and what happens if cyliner and piston runs without oil u should know that mate.
I own somewhat rare of a bike/restore project as well.. 1992 Yama WR200E.. Nothing like what you've got - but still one of those cool bikes from the past that needs to be restored and stick around..

Man those rim has seen some time in the sun,, sure it is a low hour bike?
They are more yellow if they are new.
Actually I think in eighty four they went to more of a champagne color gold. I could be wrong though
All respect wirpth his white short.
His motors looks GREAT
As kids in the 80s we'd take off one rear shock off our old twin shock bikes to look cool like guys on there new single shock bikes lol
Lol i likd dual shock bikes and the wide seats

So how did this thing ride with just one shock?
My favourite dirt bike is Honda 125R of the 1980.I wish I could still buy bikes like this.Just saying...
you hear that airplane in the back ground? nobody can control that beast
Bro that thing is clean
thanks!
wife: honey, turn off the alarm!
husband: it's not the alarm, it's the neighbor boy riding his Husky 500 again! sweet bike :)
I wish i had one of this guys bikes

Hi Micke!
A really cool thing about the bikes of this age............you don't have to have a 35 inch inseam to touch the ground with both feet.
Yet another beauty
you love your bikes! great vid
Beautifulllll niceeeee
thanks
Nothing sounds better than a big 2 smoke!!
Awesome , KEEP ON BRAPPIN BRUTHA !!! Your restorations are sick enough to gag a maggot👌👍👊😎
What else does he have in that shed. A couple of Maicos, a KX 500, a few Old KTMs and God knows what's under the tarps. I'm in total envy.
But the husky was a great cross motor.
My son of 16 year started this motor, but always whit a years and a booth
.
I want that bike.
Gorgeous!
thanks
Sorry I have start any motor with a white short.

Very nice. Not many hills in FL to test the beans in her though. Ever get it to elevation to see how she climbs hills?
Nothing like the smell of a 2stroke running on Castro R .
Castrol!!!
Do you have a website with all the resto’s?
I am working on a website but it's not up yet. Are you looking for a certain bike
Great bike!
jachrikow thanks
Nice Husky! Your sub # should be 64,000 instead of 6.4k
Sick , sick,..very nice
thanks
your garage😍
Sweet!
thanks
Man I wanted one of those in 1986.
Why only back disc brake?
84 model was drum front disk read. 85 model was disc front & rear
Freaking nice!!!
Thanks
Wow looks better than it was new:) Nice to see! Great job!
Mattias Ekman thanks
another Beauty. But what was Europe's fascination with left side kick starter?. I love these bikes man with that left side kick is super-duper awkward
why? are you right legged? bwaaaa its all in your head man
actually it makes a difference, you are left or right legged. That is true, that's why Jumpers only use one leg to jump off and land, one has better stability
thats cool its a shame they dont make 500 2strokes any more
I agree
How big is this guy's garage!?
What a Fucking Catch Bro 👋🏼 Bro Husky 500 2T! 🔥
Your neighbor called, said she wants you to roost a flower bed for her.
😁
remind me the bultaco frontera, looks similar
This was a bad too the bone s.o.b. Also best of its time!!😊
Why the shift and the kick starter are on the left, I'll never understand, two reasons I never bought one.
Great videos man.....From Spain 5*
Porque no grabas un vídeo con una Xr 600 ?
Who rebuilds the motors?? West Coast..mine is stuck
John Lefevre at vintage husky. He is in San Marcos
