I was lucky then. Since I got to drive my dad's 1986 KTM 500. It had upside down fork, liquid cooled engine and single rear shock suspension. But I was to small to dive it in the 80s. I drove it between 1991 and 2002.
@@kingdebary i understand and they are beautifully restored machines. But i didnt mean rip em up i just meant maybe take a nice cruise through the trails on them once in a while and maybe take a video of the ride so we can see how they ride in their natural habitat lol.
Thanks for not carelessly booting your kickstand into the up position. It kills me to see guys punt their kickstand with a full leg swing, and then watch it slam and bounce back off the stop. Cringe worthy. Thumbs up!
This was the one Husky I raced I NEVER should have sold. I’m such a dumbass. I loved the sound that bad boy made. My wife, who was not motorcycle person, always knew when I was coming through a section, she recognized the awesome bark it made.

Add my Husky WR500 and we sure moved a lot of sand, dirt, rocks, etc. that got near our back wheels. We’re all a bunch of old farts now, to screwed up to ride or are dead. I’m one of the lucky ones that still gets to ride. How did we get this damn old? Hell I still feel like a teenager.

Mine always started on a kick or two and I never played around with where the piston was (top or bottom of the stroke). Being 6’-7” did help quite a bit. When I sold her (dumb move on my part) I warned the new owner you better kick her with authority. He weighed close to 300 lbs and kicked her like a little girl so she bit him and broke his foot.
