Have been struggling with this issue for a while. Fix for me was to add database path to File - Options - Trust Center - Trust Center Settings - Trusted Locations
Interesting. I have been using compact and repair CONSTANTLY for years. Never have I ever seen this error. Not a single time, even in my multi-user environment.
Great video! I've run into the "laccdb" file issue but I was afraid to manually delete it. Restarting Access usually got rid of it! BTW, do you really have a PC named "Spock"? 👍 I also name mine after ST characters! 🙂
Yep. I've been naming my PCs after Star Trek characters since I can remember... with the exception of my server which is just... boring old SERVER. LOL
it is interesting we have a shared access db(well many), but one seems to have a lock file that will not delete, and all users we know are out of the database on a network drive. we have nightly etl processes that are failing because we are now unable to alter tables, and save even though the database is in shared mode and edit records in all records mode. any advice or is it a corrupt database?
Insted of importing objects one by one to a new database(if needed), you could drag&drop the objets one by one to a new datasase. The same result but faster. 🙂
I'll just disable network adapter (in control panel - network), compact database, then re-enable the network again. I have a network of too many computers, low maintenance, and a few of them just run 24/7... so this is the fastest way for me.
