റിപ്പോർട്ടറിലെ മീറ്റ് ദി എഡിറ്റേഴ്സ് എന്ന പരിപാടി. അതിഥിയായി എത്തിയത് ജഗദീഷ്. അഭിലാഷും ജഗദീഷുമായുള്ള സംഭാഷണത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗങ്ങൾ അതുപോലെ തന്നെ ഞാൻ എഴുതട്ടെ.
അഭിലാഷ്: "ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് മുൻപിലുള്ളത് താങ്കൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളാണ്. താങ്കൾ അധികവും ഹാസ്യവേഷം ചെയ്തത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ പലപ്പോഴും മണ്ടനായിട്ടാണ് അഭിനയിക്കാറും. അതിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രതിഫലനം, ആളുകൾ താങ്കളെ കാണുമ്പോൾ ഒരു ചിരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ആൾ എന്നുള്ള രീതിയിൽ കാണില്ലേ ?"
ജഗദീഷ്: "അഭിലാഷ്, ആ ചോദ്യത്തിന് ഈസിയായിട്ട് മറുപടി പറയാൻ കഴിയും. ഓടരുതമ്മാവാ ആളറിയാം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ റിലീസിന് ശേഷം ഞാൻ കോളേജിൽ പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ പോയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ആദ്യത്തെ മൂന്നാലു കൊല്ലം സിനിമ നടൻ എന്ന നിലയിൽ പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ പോയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ബോഡിൽ എഴുതി ഇട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട് 'ഓടരുതമ്മാവാ ആളറിയാം'. അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ കയറി വരുമ്പോൾ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു ചിരി. ആ ചിരിയോടെ തീർന്നു. പിന്നെ ഞാൻ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് നല്ല രീതിയിലാണെങ്കിൽ ഒരു വിദ്യാർഥിയും ചിരിക്കില്ല. നേരെ മറിച്ച്, ഞാൻ ഹാസ്യനടനല്ല എന്ന് വിചാരിച്ചു കൊള്ളൂ. ഞാൻ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് മുഴുവൻ വിഡ്ഢിത്തമാണെങ്കിൽ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് കോൺസൻട്രേഷൻ ഉണ്ടാവില്ല. ഭേദപ്പെട്ട ഒരു അദ്ധ്യാപകനാണ് എന്ന വിശ്വാസം എനിക്കുണ്ട്. ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ട് നിങ്ങൾ ആരെങ്കിലും പൊട്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ? നേരെ മറിച്ച്, ഇൻ ഹരിഹർ നഗറിലെ ഒരു ക്ലിപ്പിംഗ് കണ്ടാൽ നിങ്ങൾ പൊട്ടിച്ചിരിക്കും. ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും വളരെ ഗൗരവത്തോട് കൂടിയാണിരിക്കുന്നത്. ആരുടെയും മുഖത്ത് ചിരി വരുന്നില്ല. അതുതന്നെയല്ലേ ഡിഫറൻസ്. എന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ട് (അടക്കിപ്പിടിച്ച ചിരി അഭിനയിച്ചു കൊണ്ട്) "ഒന്നും ചോദിക്കാൻ തോന്നുന്നില്ല... ജഗദീഷ്" എന്ന് ആർക്കും തോന്നുന്നില്ല. ദാറ്റ്‌സ് ദി ഡിഫറൻസ്. സിമ്പിൾ."

And some of the films which you mentioned were flops. Ponnaramthottate Rajavu, Grihapravesam, Pavam I A Ivachan, were flops. His other few flops were Nagarapuranom, Kudumba Varttakal, Aanamuttate Angalamar, Swadeshi Nair, Videshi Nair, etc.
