Hello & Blessings Collete & Jack✨ You have created mini ecosystems through out Bealtaine because you have so many trees and beneath each tree things can thrive that one may not think would do well. Trees provide shade and shelter to many a shade loving plant but also full sun plants as well. Nature finds a way, always. Regardless of the narratives or boxes we try to squeeze them into. You are a true Earth Priestess Colette and many blessings to you for all you do to rejuvenate our precious Mother.

I loved how Jack was so comfortable at rest next to the red oak in the stone circle… I noticed how much that tree has grown, all of your plants are thriving under your loving care. I totally agree that denser planting helps conserve moisture in the soil. It seems counterintuitive and I think that’s why people don’t do it. The prairies that used to cover the land where I live acted like massive reservoirs. And the native prairies were very resilient to dry spells.

I've learned something new, thank you Colette. I never realised about planting closely, I would have thought the extra roots would take up more moisture, but actually roots hold moisture too, and more microorganisms around them, and then the leaf shade from above as you said, it all helps keep it moist. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'm recovering from some low back and incredible hip pain flare up, so haven't been out with my plants in a week! I miss the garden so much, but it's getting better and sipping meadowsweet tea right now, another gift from Mother Earth! Helps with pain.

Wonderful opening sequence! Jack is the perfect leading man for the film. Yes, the sunshine can dehydrate creatures very quickly, including ourselves. I saw a toad in my bbq grill taking shelter from the blazing sun on my patio. I watched him crawl up into the control panel out of reach.. Thank goodness I spotted him! My husband and I disassembled the grill in the heat of the sun and I relocated him to the shade in a bed of Hostas up in my woods. I provided a little hut, an overturned pot, propped by a stone. He remained calm. It is amazing how much cooler one is in the shade of plants or trees. The stone circle is a magical place even on video. Thank you for showing us the details within. 🌿🌿🌿🌿💕

What a beautiful video Colette sacred & spiritual as usual. How you showed us your artistic talent with your camera on that entire video. I love how U captured the sky, the stars in the beginning, and what a beautiful rendition you did pointing out how each stone tells a story of each direction it represents. Perfect for a full moon on that day. How I wish I could have been there at that time yet only in my mind's eye was I there & could feel the energy, peace, and love for the moment. Like you’ve said for a long time: it’s clear that the time of Lughnasadh nears because of the subtle shifts in our precious daylight. Love the story-telling intro by the way, a very nice and good idea!! So very thankful you’re a still-standing outlet to show others the magic of Mother Earth.
Recently went on a digging spree and traced some ancestors (great-grandparents and grandparents) back to a few counties in Ireland, namely Leitrim, Sligo, and Donegal! Feeling compelled to visit what they once called home (especially after having been shown by you the pure magic that clearly embraces the West of Ireland). Thanks so much again for encouraging and inspiring a goddess permaculture lifestyle as well as kindling and stoking a love and appreciation for the lands of Ireland.
We have many oak trees on our property,31 acres,half were oak the other half were pinion pines,which grow everywhere around here.we had experienced one of the wildland fires that burned all the pines,but the oaks withstood the fire.the oaks are very reseliant .one oak broke to about a quarter to the ground. There is new growth coming out of that mighty oak. No wonder you plant an oak smack dab in the middle of the stone circle.very powerful! Sorry so long!!

Oh, to live somewhere with soil...and rain! Maybe too much rain at times, I know. Planting here (and I try!) is disheartening. It is gold country, rock really, and little soil. Harsh summers too. This winter we are having much more rain than usual which is great but the rock still inhibits growth. Have to enjoy yours vicariously.

The abundance this season is amazing here in my garden the Goddess is thriving the wild life is too. The butterflies all though not great in number are returning gradually after a slow start.
My stone circle is also thriving and the energies hold in place to welcome all life. We are so fortunate to have the lives we have to share knowledge is more important than ever . I too follow the Celtic seasons . Which leads to the question of your lovingly produced Celtic Calenders will there be one for 2022.I recall you saying a while back there might not be anymore Calendars
