I can't give you a precise time for 5 firmware update, but it may take more than 30 mins for update. May I ask which driver or firmware did it take long time for update?
What happens if you want to update, several items such as "untetected" knowing that the firmware or driver is outdated? Does BOMC itself give me the damage warning? What do you do in such cases?
When you run the BOMC creating process, it will download all firmware or driver for the model you selected. If the BOMC tool shows "undetected" under Installed Version column in the update recommendation page, it means that your system do not install the device. i have a general question about this procedure. I created the bootable disc and selected USXP. Does that mean it will require communications with another server to get the updates? Basically, my server is not connected to the network and all I need is to update the firmware so would I choose local? Thanks
If you want to update firmware without connect to network, you can visit Lenovo datacenter support website (datacentersupport.lenovo.com/) to select your server and download the latest Update Xpress System Packs. The Update Xpress System Packs included all drivers and firmware for the server.
