I don't get why Hinduism is trying so hard to compete with Islam in the 21st century. Even Christianity have undergone many reforms and renaissance since its inception and have evolved from all this idolistic showcase of the mediaeval era. The Protestant Christians teaches humble and down to earth display of believes and practices of worship. They don't encourage any ornaments, decorations or materialistic adoration in their way of life. Hinduism should focus more on the cultural and spiritual aspects of it, and not on the religion dominance like Islam of today. I think these are deliberately done to bring about certain political propaganda and narrative to control people and have an edge in the democratic process.
