YAHOO!!! Three just ordered. Now to work out a transformer or buck converter box to drop 3.5kWh @ 37v DC to 13.8v DC for my Amateur Radio setup. 4 radios, two tuners, 2 Pis and currently 1 12v DC HDMI monitor. Only one radio transmits at a time so when idle in receive mode, only 600mA to 2A per rig (when signal present) draw (2 @ 600 & 2 @ 2A) plus 5A x 2 PIs and the 1.5-ishA for the monitor. 16.7-ishA draw while on & monitoring.
I bought the 36v Ninebot battery. I'm impressed. It came already blinking. The controller I hooked it up to drained it overnight for some reason. Thanks to this video I woke it back up. New controller on the way. Definitely going to tryout some of his other products. You're the man @jehugarcia
the microcontroller uses so little power that it can coast on the capacitors for 5 seconds or so. that's why the off switch takes so long to turn off. I didn't put in a power led because I didn't want vampire draw. for the next batch there will be an optional one
@@CurlyScott89 with the switch in the off position it won't use any power. in the on position i't s a few milliamps. An LED would actually double or triple the current use of the activator.

Hello All, I was excited about this video, and promptly ordered the part from the Etsy listing to activate my batteries bought from Jehu. (Sorry I wanted a neat all in one solution) However, having paid I decided to check on order status since 1/12 and I find that the Etsy shop is showing closed and item no longer available. I really hope that this person (who has posted several times on Jehu’s comments) does not affect the reputation of a great guy like Jehu ! I hope too that the Etsy issue is just that and the seller will reply soon in some manner, but as his shop is closed on Etsy I currently have no way to contact him. Maybe someone here knows or has received their activator ??? Simon
Etsy closed my shop without warning or any communication. I went to log in one day and it was just gone. I'm trying to contact them now. They wont reply to email or their form for closed accounts. I did get someone managing their facebook account to take down my information to look up the account, but they never got back to me. For now I'm still processing all the orders I received before the account closure although it's going to be a lot more difficult now that I can't use their API to create shipping labels for orders and manage them. I'll have to do it all by hand. The boards are coming in batches of 50. I just received a batch yesterday and all 50 are programmed and they just need a switch and a couple components put on by hand and then they get tested, conformally coated, put in static bags, those put in anti-static plastic boxes, then wrapped in bubble wrap etc, boxed and shipped. the next batch of 50 comes in saturday or monday and the next batch probably Tuesday or Wednesday. The orders are being fulfilled in the order they were received so it shouldn't be too much longer for you. I'd have to check but if you ordered on the 12th you might be in this current batch. As soon as I'm able I'm going to be opening a shop on Tindie and then maybe my own standalone site. I'm sorry that communication is so much harder now and some people I don't even have email addresses for so I can't send them tracking unless they find me here or on facebook. This really sucks for everyone involved.
