Thanks for watching and the feedback. I really appreciate it. I typically don't reuse parchment paper because the sublimation ink sometimes bleeds onto it. I've had my heat press for over two years. It's a work horse! I have not sublimated on 95% polyester and 5% spandex. I'm not sure how well the spandex will hold the ink. Honestly, if I sublimate on shirts, it's going to be on 100% polyester white or grey. The image shows up the best.

Also people who are really into sublimating should already know there's NO WHITE in sublimation && you CAN'T ... I Repeat CAN'T sublimate on Black ... but not everyone does their homework🤷♀️

I noticed that you put the paper on top to protect your press, but does the shirt need paper inside of it so that the dye doesn’t bleed through to the back of the shirt or the base plate?? I’m new and don’t want to hurt my machine.
In the video, it's call Printer's Jack. I purchased it from Amazon. Pretty good beginners paper. Normally I use Crafting Besties and Blanks Galore sublimation paper. Both are really good.
Unfortunately, you can't directly sublimate on 100% polyester shirts. Also, sublimation ink only comes in CMYK. You can try other hacks such as sublimation on white glitter or holographic HTV or use Easy Subli Weed.
I print using an EPSON WF-7720. In your design programs, make sure it's in RGB and not CMYK. Also when you go to print, change your settings to RGB with a gamma of 2.2.
@@IDewsKustomz thank you ! I am new to sublimation but sublimated on a George brand T-shirt from Walmart that was 65 polyester 35 cotton and the pink color in the sublimation almost all washed out . But I understand the higher polyester count the better .

be careful with overheating that poly..it can scorch and be discolored on a perm basis, vs cotton which will usually revert back to original color after cool down
@@IDewsKustomz I usually do 330-375 temp for my press, med to heavy pressure..with heat tape to hold the image in place so you wont get ghosting(on presses where the image is larger than the press im using & the shirt has to be moved to press the rest of the image)..& I use a cover sheet, though most sub printers usually tell you NOT to use a cover sheet on sub presses( I let my homie print them up for me on his sawgrass fro the last few yrs)..I go abt 320 to 300 on poly bags & other similar items

Yes, put a piece of parchment, butcher, or non-stick craft inside the shirt so it doesn't bleed through to the back of the shirt.

They are hold up great. Since it's sublimation, they don't wash out.

Unfortunately, you can't sublimate directly on black shirts like I did in the video. The image will come out dark and unseeable.
