I am doing a LOT of research in advance of starting a sublimation shirt printing home biz, and you are definitely one of my top three favourite people to follow in checking everything out. Thanks for doing this! I just bought a bunch of stock from another crafter who was downsizing. I got a BUNCH of gray shirts. I love the vintage look of the gray shirts. It pops but still looks vintage. Also, you know that boy is adorable!!! Love seeing his sweet smile!

I have issues with Mark’s where the platen was. I have lighten up on the pressure, used a pressing pillow, lowered the temp and lessened the time. That helped a lot. I use the same shirts.
Always about finding that sweet spot.

Very nice! I'm new at this -- trying to press an all black design on a Gildan 420. My heat is 380 for 40 seconds -- it came out great -- BUT, I've got a big shiny square from the heat press I guess melting the shirt!! Trial and error is going to get expensive lol

Hello, what is the brown sheet that you use on top of the shirt, under the top heat press? I have only used by now parchment paper, I just did some cotton and blends, never tried 100% poly. I want to buy the top cover too but I don't know what exactly it is. Love your video!!! Thank you.
Thank you. They’re called Teflon sheets. Everyone should have them if you have a heat press. It’s linked in my Amazon store.

Also found putting pad in between material stops the heat marks on bottom later.

Lol. Funny. But 60 to 70 secs is a good time. It’s the best. No burnt knuckles over here. And they have Black Friday sales going on now at heat press nation. So definitely check out my link below. Great investment.

Your videos have been helping me with my sublimation shirts. I wanted to ask, how do you get the best color out of your prints? Sometimes I get faded prints from high resolution images
Glad top be of help what ink are you using? I have never changed any color settings for my ink to be honest.

The polyester shirts do not feel exactly like cotton. It’s a softer, smoother feel

Can you sublimate on color polyester shirts with the a-sub?
Thanks for the video! I learned a lot! Seeing that both your son's and your sublimation image was on the exact same sheet I am curious as to why yours pressed darker than your son's shirt! Was one pressed longer than the other? Again, thanks for video!
I’m curious too. The shirts are the same but sometimes even though it’s a kids shirt might be a little different. It’s weird. Each was pressed for the same time and temperature but his might not have been flat enough sit to his being a smaller shirt under the press.

Every site is different. I have a warehouse I go to in my state. I have a video on where to buy blanks. The 2nd design came from Etsy.
May I ask why you use sublimation paper over your design and then your Heat transfer material
The design is a sublimation design...I used sublimation paper
Is it 4200 or 42000?
Katrina, how do you avoid getting those hard lines all around? I want to sublimate because it is so much easier but I can't seem to get rid of my hard lines around the design.
Maybe lighten up your pressure. But if you get lines just move it a little and press again to straighten it out.
Did you ever find out why your son's shirt print came out duller than yours? If it's the youth version of the same style, I would expect similar results. Maybe it was a one off error.
Hey, just wanted to know how do these shirt feel? are they like jersey material? or like normal t-shirts like from h&m or something?
More so on the Normal side of cotton t shirts not like jersey but they are a little thinner than regular cotton shirts
What are your printer settings? My Epson WF7710 keeps printing grainy, 300 dpi, high quality matt. Prints perfectly on regular paper (with same settings) but very grainy with Easysubli. Very frustrating as the paper is not inexpensive.
I have a full video called stop jamming the easy SUBLI. I give all my settings for my printer.
do you ever have a problem with the heat transfer tape color transferring onto the shirt aswell ?
No the tape color has never transferred onto my shirts it did once onto a mug with a cheap brand from Amazon onto a mug and I never used it again.
Should you lint roll before the pre-press? Does it make a difference?
As long as you lent roll before you sublimate. Either is fine.
Is there a hack for removing sublimation from a poly shirt?
I don’t know about one

Will the colors be vibrant on darker 100% polyester shirts/items?
You can’t sublimate all colors using straight sublimation but you can do grey and light colors. I have a video where I showed that when doing blacks you have to use other methods.
