I will never understand why this show didn't get more attention. I've worked in healthcare for 15 years and it should be required viewing for everyone. The first five episodes about the five days themselves fully convinced me to believe one thing, only to have the last three episodes brilliantly say, "well now wait a minute..." and question everything we just witnessed. Not many shows can make me second guess my belief-constructs in a way that's not patronizing. Kudos to everyone involved!
I knew about the book prior to the show, and I listened to the audiobook prior to watching the show. Both are very well done, and the show did the book justice for sure (despite some needed condensation, and therefore losing out on some of the subtleties).
I agree with what you say. I think it was not seen because it came out in 2022 during lockdowns and this is/was only on AppleTV+. AppleTV+ only started exploding with great programming during the pandemic and is now IMO one of the best streamers to pay for. So, this wonderful series got lost in that.
After my dad passed away 2 months ago, we kept dreaming about him trying to tell us something happened in the hospital.. today I wrote few words randomly on google has nothing to do with the dreams, I saw this clip from no where…. ❤🙏🏻🥺
i just finished watching!!! soooo good! … quick question : how did the remaining bodies get into the chapel? who boarded up the door? who moved them? A LOT of questions. can 3 women move bodies by themselves from the 7th floor? what floor was the chapel on? i think Anna left that Friday. Thursday, everyone had to evacuate. 45 is insane. the other hospitals had wayyyy less. i know that’s why they decided to investigate cause it’s too high of a number. they were only there 4-5 days meaning 7/8 people died a day. doesn’t make sense. the man nurse said it wasn’t that many bodies when he left. they wasn’t cool with that other hospital “LifeCare” … they didn’t know their patients & the lady nurse didn’t wanna leave them behind with “Memorial Hospital” nurses. a lot of red flags for sure. where were the 45 bodies before everyone got evacuated? some didn’t even know it was that many bodies in that chapel til the NEWS were talking about it. why where the bodies moved if everyone passed away after the evacuation? shouldn’t they’ve been deceased in their BEDS? who moved them?! (5 passed before the storm)
You bring up many interesting points. I have only begun my deep dive into this rabbit hole so I don’t know much except what I’ve read on google, anyways, my first thought as to your question of why so many deaths, was that most of them were already extremely ill and needed either medication or machines to keep them alive and without electricity, well they were pretty much done for. 5 days is a long time for the critically ill

This is, by far, the most depressing thing I have ever watched. 😔😔
