    The Ariya uses a captive steering wheel. I find it most reliable to detect the touch in the 10 and 2 o'clock position or touch the metal ring at the bottom (especially helpful, as I like to drive a car holding wheel in the 6-7 o'clock position).

    The auto high beams on my 40kWh Leaf work just fine. As oncoming traffic appears, the high beams switch off. Very reliable.

    that is a capacitive steering wheel, same as BMW uses. Tesla, Volvo and others use resistive steering wheels (cheaper) that you need to actually move in order for the system to acknowledge your presence.

    Yeah so many small factors with the consumption but yeah of course all wheel drive consumes more it´s more heavy. But not so much as the older mechanical systems.
    Tbh just touching the steering wheel is better than move it around.

    Hey Bjorn, when are you doing the Model Y RWD range test @ 120kmph? Remember that you skipped it in Thailand. Eagerly waiting for it.

    Hi Bjørn, I saw you squeezing the steering wheel to stop the nagging while using ACC. You mentioned the fat E-tron, but the Skoda Enyaq with Travel Assist also has a sensitive steering wheel to feel if the driver is present. I think that it is mostly included in the expensive packs of some cars.

    • @NameNaameNameeNaamee
      @NameNaameNameeNaamee ปีที่แล้ว

      The steering wheel is capacitive (as it should be). You simply need to rest a hand on it, that's it. No pressure or movement needed.

    Björn, can you please repeat test in Summer/Spring? I have Ariya Evolve 87kWh and in winter consumption was as by you 22-25, but now when it is over 20 and heating is not working, I have 17-18 kW! It is very strange with heating pump I would not expect such difference. Always same way without traffic jams (40% land 60% autobahn). I have only one explanation: if you start cold car, you have warm temperature inside in some seconds. That means the heat system is actually very oversized to get such performance and consumes a lot of energy at the begin. Interesting about temperature. If it hot outside and you need to climatize with cold air, then you setup 21 degree and it is so freaking cold, that you must the to set also much more higher 25 or something like this. At least consequent by heating and cooling :-)

    Question about range based on speed. I drive a Renault Zoe 135 in the uk so temps vary from 1degree c to 30degree c and my range shown on display varies from 150 miles to 250. I’ve noticed that most efficient is around 40mph but when driving motorway speeds (70mph)the range drops quite quickly with efficiency dropping from 4.5m/kWh to 3.9m/kWh. Is this normal or would other manufacturers have less variation?
    Given the Zoe is more of a city car, couldn’t complain too much but looking at the Smart #1 for the future

    • @kajko6868
      @kajko6868 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is normal. Extra wind resistance plus permanent magnet motor at higher speeds does that.

  • @DG-uv3zw

    Sorry Nissan, you failed with this car😢 13 years ago, your first Leaf was a real good shot. If I see all the problems shown in this video, I have to ask You: "What the hell did You do the last 13 years?" And much more important: "Who is gonna buy such a bad car?"

      I've tested polestar 2, volvo c40/xc40, subaru solterra and ford e-mach, and the Ariya awd was the nicest to drive. So I guess it's in the eye of the beholder.
