I love my quad lock set ups. I got my wife to convert on her CRF300l rally. We’ve been watching your stuff for a while now and have really appreciated the camping videos. We are doing the MABDR in a couple of months on our Rally’s and your packing lists were immensely helpful.
Love mine as well! Got them on all my bikes and have never had any problems. I also love that they don't add much bulk to the phone as well!

Thank you for mentioning the detail that the MAG cases can be used with the old clip in ones - I use the clip in finger ring and wouldn’t buy the new mag case if I weren’t able to use it 😄🙇🏻♂️
Have a look into Peak Designs cases and mounts, so much better than Quad Lock... annoyingly as we are both Australian... You win this one America.
See how smooth that case looks? It is. I’ve dropped my phone so many times. I’ve replaced my screen protector 3 times. I took a knife to it to add grip lines to it.

I prefer the SP Connect purely because everything came together, case, bike mounts with extra mounts. Can't find one for my new S22 in New Zealand though and thought about going Quad Lock but it's so confusing and expensive with everything coming separately that I spent a hour butchering my old S10 connecter to fit on my S22. Will have to see on the trail though. May have to go Quad Lock 😬

Peak design works better either car or motorcycle , however I use both of system on different bikes
Have you tried any other brands, recommendations: Peak Design, MOUS IntraLock Evolution, and SP Connect are all very similar some additionally come with magnets (MAGSAFE) to assist in correctly aligning the locking mechanism in a snap - this is what Quad Lock needs to incorporate into their bike mount as it's still a PIA trying to line it up and twist with gloves/goggles on, the new MAG case with magnet only offers convenience to those in the car and does not offer any extra function/security to bike riders. It's a shame its also only available for the newest gen phones 2022/2023 and if I need to upgrade my phone in order to use the MAG Case on my existing Quadlock accessories then I might as well switch ecosystems for something that offers the best of both worlds now.

Beware the "Mag" case only works with Quadlock's "Mag" chargers. It is incompatible with first party apple chargers even though their marketing says it is "Mag safe compatible". If you have this case you will have to buy the Quadlock branded chargers to use wireless charging.

@@nielolee yeah I ordered the mag case and I was really disappointed when I couldn't actually use any magsafe stuff with it. I contacted support and they confirmed that their proprietary quadlock wireless chargers are "correctly tuned" to the thickness of the case. Long story short you must use their chargers with it not the Apple Magsafe ones. Kinda sucks they lie about it on their website.
Pretty crap really, the game is rigged - even Apple allows 3rd party manufacturers to make compatiable accessories for their gear.
It does work with some MFI Wireless chargers. I have an otterbox wireless charger stand and it works fine. Little slower than it used to with a regular case but still works. I will say that sometimes it doesn’t and if I take it on and off it will start to charge.
It works with regular wireless charger but not the magnetic ones unless its a quadlock one

Could I mount this to my riding mower?
So with these types of phone mounts, when you switch phones, do you have to buy a new case? Seems like it would get expensive if that's the case.
Does it charge wirelessly?
Have you had any camera damage due to vibration?

@@ericmcdonald7313 they make a vibration damper that goes on the mount with the idea of preventing vibration damage.
I tried quad lock last spring. I own a iPhone 13max pro and the quad lock dropped it out of the storage system within 8 off-road miles of use. Took me 30 minutes to find my phone. It worked fine for on road , but I wouldn’t risk it again for off-road trail riding. Not with. Max Pro anyway
Get a non magnetic head. Twist and Click is much more secure than magnet
I've actually learned about the quad lock not that long ago, but I've also heard that it is way to easy to tear the mount off of the twist ones. Is this true is your experience?

Instead of getting a case and a Mount for every single bike just get an lte smart watch like the Apple Watch series 9 or pixel watch 2
What a waste of money if you always have to get a new quad lock case whenever someone gets a new phone. Cool idea. They should just design a quad lock adapter that works for all phone cases no matter what brand.

Funny enough, they actually don't allow the magnetic connection on the motorcycle mount on their website. Tells you they don't even trust it to be that strong.
Yes I use the standard mount on the bike, but the same case works for both.

I disagree on the best phone mount. I suggest considering The Perfect Squeeze. I have no interest, but have used it for thousands of miles, horrible rocky terrain, nasty weather, etc. It is bulletproof.
