@@justindoss3701 That is not true. Tommy Caldwell (sportiva tc pros), Chris Sharma (Shaman), Tomoa Narasaki (Unparallel TN pro), Agro (Dai Koyamada/Paul Robinson), Ashima Shiraishi (Evolv Ashima/Evolv x Braindead ashima zenists), Daniel himself, and technically the UP flagships and Flagship 2s were designed with Tomoa as well. Plenty of other shoes have also been designed alongide a pro climber but I can't think of them off the top of my head.
Yeah man thought the same, like I'm sitting home with a fuqd up foot since a month (can't even walk, multiple bone bruises) but bro's out there bouldering hard as if that blue on the side is nothing special... got some proper respect for that shawn, but watch your back 😂
I look for add to these videos. I’m a 3 yr noob when it comes to bouldering but I can still find benefits in watching your movement. I learn a lot from these videos and the editing it cool af.
still can't believe I bumped into your crew on first creek trail march 11! it looks like there's no footage in this vid from that day.. i wonder why ;)
Seeing Shawn in Vegas makes me wonder if there are any well known boulders or climbs in the Reno/Tahoe area. I've spent a lot of years in that area and I've known a few climber types over the years, but I never was one. The area is famous for its skiing, hiking, and lots of other outdoor activities. Watching a few of these videos lately, and seeing how some random rocks in France, and other places around the world, have names and ratings, and histories and legends about who found them and climbed them first; I wonder if there are any such places right in the ol' neighborhood? We have lots of mountains, and they are all made of rock, so it seems like there must be some but until recently I'd have been oblivious.
There are 5 volumes covering >10K boulder problems in the Tahoe area as well as many hundreds of sport climbs too. It’s much more spread out than red rocks but you are correct there is a lot of excellent climbing in the Tahoe area too. It’s almost entirely granite so it’s kinda like a cheaper more accessible Yosemite
Tahoe has an insanely huge climbing scene. Jimmy Webb himself spends most of his days out there as of late, I'm not sure if he lives there but like every vid I see him in takes place in tahoe.
Shawn I really like you bro, you seem so chill and always in a good mood. It's amazing to see this style of content from you. It has a weird cozy feel and really feels like old skating videos a used to watch religiously. Also, your climbing is just fucking next level. Keep it up bro. I would really love to see some climbing gym content from you, I recently spent a lot of time in the gym instead of outdoors and it would be sick to see how you climb indoors. It's much easier to tell how good someone actually is when you see them on similar climbs you do yourself.
The last thing we need is more gym content 🤦♂️ he’s the best outdooor boulderer in the world, not the best gym climber. Go watch someone else if you want gym content.
@@GKSY- Don't be hateful... That's not what I meant. I definitely prefer this type of content also. I just wanted to see him once in the gym so I can see how good he is on terrain I am more used to and maybe see the way he trains if he's outdoors.
Whoa, I found a different song called Morning Swim by Ryxen. They both got the same instrumental sample, but I didn't realize there was another song lol.
The edit is quality bomb for sure but just a bit too much for my taste. Focusing more on the climb rather than mainly on the editing style would be better imo.
I agree that the editing is really well done and cool but I think the videos could also reallllly benefit from more story, background, or details packed into these.
Song starting at 7:20 is called Morning Swim by Ryxen. They only loop the beginning instrumental of the song in the video, but the full song is actually incredible.
The style of these videos is kind of weird. It's more like a mini-doc instead of vlog. Like, there is a gap between the viewer and climber, almost like we are watching something play out in a Reel Rock film. It lacks a personal touch because we are removed from Shawn and the other climbers. It's more like watching from a distance with some commentary, but not in the moment thoughts and feelings. For example, Shawn says he hasn't done the big move on Sleepwalker, but that's all we get. Why is he struggling? What makes that move difficult for him? How long has he been trying it? We are getting a snapshot instead of feeling like we are part of the progress. If that's your intention, then totally ignore this comment. I just feel like there is something missing, something that could take these videos from good to great.
Yoo Shawn just be traveling all around trying all the V17s lmao.
Seriously Bobby deserves way more credit for these edits. The quality is off the charts. 🙌
They’re so good! Big ups North Face for putting money into it because it’s top shelf content
So true 😌
He's really showing us his creativity with the mix up of styles, loving it.
Came for the climbing, stayed for the edit
So good !!
Daniel does not get enough recognition for putting up that low-start, shit is gnarly as hell
He is one of only three people who have a pro model climbing shoe.
that's crazy lol @@justindoss3701

All the more respect to Daniel and Jimmy. Both are legends and Sleepwalker and the return to it are both extremely impressive feats!
Obligatory “damn this looks like a skate video I’m so stoked on filming and editing” comment
Something about being out in the desert makes everything seem relaxed and like you can project for days
It feels weird not seeing Shawn climb with his solutions haha
Actually surprised that he is allowed to show himself with other shoes, he is still sponsored by La Sportiva, right?
I came here hoping I was not the only one surprised Shawn was wearing instinct S's haha threw me off lol
I wonder if it has to do with his sprained ankle? maybe the only shoe that fits without too much pain?
@@RideBonesSwiss not sure he would wear the shoe on both feet if it was ankle related
Pretty stoked to see him embracing slipper life
These videos are so good, the quality,.. Combined with the insane strength in the videos from everyone. I feel like I should be paying for this
I grew up watching snowboarding videos and these have vibes or early 2000's Forum or Burton flics. Good memories.
Damn that ankle looks painful, hope for a speedy recovery✌️
Awesome video as always😎

This channel very quickly became my absolute favourite, every time a video drops I get so excited to watch. Masterful edit as per usual 🔥

Epic editing and vid quality. Pairs nicely with the sick climbing. Love it!
NBD on the FA sticker slap. Major props
The skate links always run deep with these guys
These edits and footage is absolutely amazing!!
the quality of the vids is through the roof!
7:20 Song is same instrumental sample for both Morning Swim by Ryxen and NOTWORTHIT by Yargii.
Dude this edit is hard! So is the climbing. Keep it coming!
shoutout to Bobby - these video transitions more polished than the footholds on my gym's spraywall
Everyone's saying it bc it's true, Bobby's a legend. These edits are sick

I love Red Rock Canyon, soo much beauty and potential climbing!
Did lá sportiva just lose their number one boulderer😮😮
Sick vid as always bummer on the ankle was that a skating accident?
Watching those impossible moves made me want to climb the v1 behind them.
Return of the sleepwalker is such an insane problem.
Stoked to see Beasley projecting sleepwalker.
Your videos are just like a therapy for my climbing demands
Shawn’s running the scarpa instincts over the normal solutions
What’s your favorite shoe for bouldering
High quality content! Thanks guys!
ridiculously well made
How long have you been using Scarpa shoes now Shawn? Favouring the Instinct S's for a few videos now.
amazing quality. amazing sends.
Love the video quality- I understand it’s a lot of work but would love to see more frequent. I really like your stuff!
Name of the last track? Killa video as always

Bro I’m waiting for the next drop on mellow to cop me some of that fire merchandise. Sweet video as well

What are those north face approach shoes? They look perfect
I also climb with Polars 93s. Make some mellow version of them. Easy cash flow.

Morning Swim- Ryxen. There's another song with the same instrumental called NOTWORTHIT by Yargii too

song at 1:50?

Insane vid dawg, you need to pay the editor at least 5000 dollars per vid
That's a seriously torn ligament judging by that bruise. Not sure two days rest is gonna cut it haha. What you do? Try to beat DWoods at SKATE?
How in gods name did Sean’s beanie stay on at the end
It's not a beanie anymore; it just fused with his head.
Great vid quality and style
that vid had some serious steez going on
What are the north face shoes?
what was the last song, anybody knows?
