You are correct. This video was made 20 minutes after assembling the table and it was accidentally programmed backwards. Cut quality is better if it is cut as you have stated, but it is still a good example of what a machine can do. Best Regards, Ron Chacich
@Fluidistor The plasma uses swirling air to make the cut, which makes it similar to a spinning machine tool. Because of the direction of the swirl, one side of the cut will be of better quality than the other. In this video, the edge quality on the part would have been better had the part been cut the opposite direction. Best Regards, Ron Chacich
I noticed theres no gear reduction for greater resolution and torque, but it still cuts at a decent speed. I have seen your ads on ebay for this machine. In this video what motors are on here. I know there nema 23's but are they the 620oz version?
The cnc gantry has a resolution of .00098" or .0249mm per microstep of the motors direct drive as show or twice the resolution with the optional 2:1 belt reduction units. You would then need to look at the tolerance of the gear rack, but the biggest limiting factor for the tolerance is the plasma stream itself.
@Ebdan88 The thickness is based on the plasma cutter used. I use a Hypertherm 1250, which can cut 5/8" in a machine operation. Other plasma cutters can cut thicker material.
@greenjeens This video is of our first prototype machine 20 minutes after first turning on power. The motors are the Automation Direct nema 23 276 in-oz with a geckodrive and current setting of 2.7amps. Direct drive, it can easily achieve rapid speeds of 1000ipm and a acceleration rate of 50 in/sec/sec. The candcnc.com 300 or 620 motors will give you the exact same performance.
I'm taking a welding class and we have a plasma cutter too, will the machine be able to cut a piece of metal that I'm going be putting around my cars plate number?
Is the LTP a Lotos product? I'm not so sure about their customer support. I've heard good things about Everlast and I think they have a plasma cutter specifically made for CNC use. I can't remember the product model but I'm pretty sure it ends in a "C" to designate CNC use.
@flguy32501 This is the first prototype machine for Precision Plasma LLC 3 + years ago. It uses nema 23 stepper motors direct drive running sheetcam and mach3.
hello is it possible to know the cost of cnc plasma as well as their technical characteristics as well as you need to buy this product delivery times eg
You should post what kind of plasma machine your using. are you using a inductive start ... reg hf start or..Blowback start starts arc without the need of High Frequency
I've heard horror stories about people trying to get their high frequency plasma cutter to work problem-free with CNC computers. I've had my everlast blowback plasma cutter on my CNC for a few months now and no problems so far. I haven't seen too many plasma cutters using inductive start.
and good luck trying to keep there table square !! all the holes are slotted. i sent the one back i bought it was COMPLEAT CRAP !! they could not even get the machine to the cut process for me over the phone, oh and they have NO tech support! if any one has questions thinking about buying one dont !!
@ Hatem Tahir. Hello friend, I'm Tracy, We are professional cutting machine manufacturer , Please contact us . My whatsapp: +86 15065325442 , I can send you more video
I would say no. Precision, aside from having good tips in your plasma cutter, is a matter of how it's set, and how precise the cnc control is. I'm building my own cnc system for under 650 using 12mm ballscrew and 12mm shaft with nema23's direct drive, no gears or belts which still provides great tolerance on a 2' x 2' xy axis table.

Hi, I need a few pieces of 1/8" aluminum cut with plasma. If I provided the vector/line drawings, could you give me a quote or do you not accept this kind of work? Feel free to message me and/or provide me your e-mail. This is just a small job for a hobby/modeling project of mine.
No it stays pretty square. Due to the fact it won't run long enough to get out of wack. The tech support literally called us stupid and said it was not there fault that the z axis runs all the way up and will randomly not cut stuff out. We have been on the phone with them for over a month trying to get the problem resolved but no success so we ordered a torch mate today. The jokes on them we are filming for a TV pilot at my shop and it will show the world what a piece of shit this set up is.
i bought the 4x8 iplasma and yeah its the cheapest junk ive ever seen do not let the pics fool you. i sent mine back, it only cost my company tons of man hours for nothing, not to mention dealing with Ron and Jullian what a joke, there going to outa business soon im betting
Precision Plasma has the worst customer service ever they do business with Tensor CNC LLC and he has super bad customer service I bought a table from them and they screwed me over

Sir can you provide this plasma metal cutting machine in India

Ya, those videos of the gantry traveling at those speeds were pretty amazing, never seen one move that fast.
Wow now there's a new chunk of information I never knew about plasma cutters...
Is the video shown in actual time or elapsed time?

very nice!can you adapt a cnc milling machine in a plasma cutter? you only need a steel table and the cutting torch.is that right?!please answer.
@Ebdan88
The thickness is based on the plasma cutter used. I use a Hypertherm 1250, which can cut 5/8" in a machine operation. Other plasma cutters can cut thicker material.
Hi does this plasma cutter have a pilot arc? I ask because it looks like the plasma head touches the metal before it cuts. Nice machine BTW
I agree I run our CNC Profile at work and thats the direction it goes

when you cut small circles - put a common bolt size hole in the middle for washers
which you can always use and cuts waste.
ok
bachelors of trolling degree, 2013 yeah but wastage man it's 2018 people need to conserve.
Precision ? With ball bearing rails ? How exact is the precision please ? Great job !
Amigo que plasma esta usando?

Our requirement is to cut . 8mm to 5 mm MS Sheet kindly suggest best options of machines to fulfill this requirement..
i made a large swordfish with my schools plasma cutter it is one of my favorite machines to use.
Impressive feeds and accurate cuts by the way
Very nice
Have you built the cnc part self?

Makes me want to get a cnc table for my powerplasma cutter.
What do you think the model LTP5000D on amazon and walmart? the review is really good.
looks good. what is your rail span?
Bobby Xie o8
Why is it touching the steel every second or third start when cutting ? Is this to set correct thc or measurement ?
hello is it possible to know the cost of cnc plasma as well as their technical characteristics as well as you need to buy this product delivery times eg
i have no interest in machines and metal and stuff...but it's actually fun to watch a video like this
awesome.how much cost it in europe?
Why is it so important to cut inside and outside CCW / CW?
Is this home made? NEMA 23 steppers? What CAM and controller software do you use?
The power plasma set Amp was set up to....???

Good to hear your everlast welder works with CNC. I hope to build my own this winter.

Plz send mi all details size with price... Which material can be in this machine and how much can be in the thickness
What is price of this machine in uae ?
I'd love to be able to CNC custom metal parts with my Everlast PowerPlasma. Do I need to change the torch?
The video is made in actual time. Thanks for viewing.
Ron
Are you willing to share your .dxf file? I really liked the pattern you cut out.
I want to buy it but I don't have the money

I guess we are not talking 0.2mm tolerance here?
lollllllllllllllllllllllll ive just realised ive been watching plasma cuter and laser cuter for the last 30-40 minutes haha
Hello,
I would like to know more about CNC plasma cutter, distributors in Chicago land area.
Thanks
