Stefan hated Damon and he wrote that in his diaries none stop, he only did two things for Damon as far as i know, went away with klaus to get the cure and he took the sword mark from Rayna.
@@gee7846 Stefan didn't hate Damon. Their relationship was never of the easy-going type, but they did in fact love each other. There's even a quote about them, something like "they can fight like dogs, but at the end they'd die for each other" (which Stefan really did, and Damon was ready to do)

He ALWAYS put himself in the way just so he could save damon from his impulsive actions, and thats clear on the earlier seasons. When he goes with Klaus i think its the breaking point, because things turn around and then Damon starts doing the same for Stefan

Stefan felt guilty the entire time about convincing Damon to complete his transition to become a vampire; he felt like he owed it to him. So what he did in the last episode was not surprising to me, but it was painful to watch him die like that. :/
The ending was heart-breakingly and beautifully made and I still haven’t recovered from the entire show yet regardless of how many times I’ve watched it and how many years have gone by. This show is a masterpiece ❤

Their brotherhood love is incredible. They literally would die for each other. Their bond has always led them to reconnect through the bad times and the good. At some points they may hate each other but they always will sacrifice themselves for they other one.

It’s been a good while since I watched this, but I thought that for the cure to be passed from one person to a vampire, it would take ALL of the person that took the cures blood. If one syringe would do it, why wouldn’t Stefan be running around curing everyone?
@@jenmccune2321that was Katerine that Stefan was holding. However Damon was always planning on taking the cure to live a human life with Elena. Damon was just waiting for Elena to wake up before he took it. Damon had planned on taking the cure the night of Alrick & Joe's wedding but Kai linked Elena and Bonnie together and put Elena in a coma until Bonnie dies which is why Damon had to wait to take the cure.
This was the saddest last moments of them being together for the last time but at the end of the day they finally got to let each other again

In order to destroy Hell, Katherine had to die while she was in hell, and to ensure that, Damon had to keep the dagger contained in her till the fire hit her. Atleast that's how I understood it

I love how each one had different intentions,
Stefan stayed to make sure the plan went through,for the greater good so his family and friends could live in peace with KPs constant torture but Damon,
Damon was pure vengeance, spite. When KP says that Damon is enjoying this, it's because he was, Katherine was the first woman to ever break Damon's heart and it destroyed him, so it's obvious he wanted to relish in the moment knowing he was KPs downfall.
