Hi Ollie, hope all is well! Not sure why, but I assumed you were on the GEM programme at Warwick. In terms of GEM at Newcastle, I see the UCAT requirement is significantly higher than the 5 year course. Do you know how Newcastle use contextual data to 'adjust' UCAT marks? I meet a few markers, but I got 2750 SJT B1 on my UCAT, which is still significantly below what would be needed to be considered for a GEM interview looking at previous years - any tips would be appreciated. Ta!
if i’m applying from Ireland do you think it would be ok to reference my experience with the irish health system? i’m not sure if i should considering i’m applying to scottish schools who essentially are training future UK doctors?
Hi Ollie, just wondering what your thoughts on mentioning academic awards and degree classifications in your personal statement? Struggling on finding a way of mentioning it that doesn't make me sound pretentious
Hi Jack! If it helps you make some sort of point (which I'd suggest might be something about being academically strong or overcoming some sort of difficulty and scoring well) then go for it - as with anything else, if it's evidence for a point you're making then it should be included, otherwise leave it. That sounds like the sort of thing that should be woven in
Hi Ollie, I was wondering about Warwick re-applying policy please. Would the university look at my application less favorable if I had to re-apply next year? Thank you for all your help :)
Hi! As far as I know, applications are independent, I don't believe that they 'remember you' as such and I know many people that took multiple attempts to get here, so any effect can't be that significant!
Great video! I’ll be submitting my UCAS application pretty soon, so this will be good for fine-tuning the personal statement. Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for this Ollie
Hi. Would you be able to have a look at a personal statement. If so how do I send it to you. Many thanks
