    When all else fails - use a swimming pool. What I do every time my megatank leaks!

      How long a use have you got out of one? I'll be coming for your expertise when I'm doing his upgrade 😂

      I was seriously going to ask how the puffer would do with Gordon.

      @@inthebagtropicalfishuk Only a few weeks at a time - but no reason the shouldn't last longer. I know a few KOI people who have used them long terms (years)

    Good job, well done, I've just got back from Maidenhead aquatics, taunton, home of Buster, the Mbu puffer, very impressive fish, but for now I'll stick to fish considerably smaller.

    brilliant stuff 👏, plywood lined pond would work with good sealer, salt and garlic may help with health issues.

    Well done Lou, great job you've done with bug. Be good to see how he does in the coming weeks/ months.

    I have the same pool in my garage with African cichlids. It’s been running for 5 years now! My garage has no windows so it doesn’t get any uv light from the sun, I don’t know if that’s a factor. I’ve had a spare pool ready and waiting since year three, I’ve thought of just swapping them, but what isn’t broke don’t fix and I kinda want to see how far it will go lol.

      That's really encouraging, it seems to be more sturdy than I remember them being like 10 years ago. That's a good shout on the windows hadn't thought of that, might pop some kind of curtain or screen up

      @@inthebagtropicalfishukyeah, whatever you can do to reduce UV damage is best.

      @@inthebagtropicalfishuk yes, uv and cold are the biggest factors to degrading plastics, so having it indoors they are two factors easy to eliminate. I’ll also add mine looks pretty much like new with the odd wipe down of the top and sides with just the pool water 😊

    Lou, are you considering something like kanaplex to clear up any bacterial issues? It may help a little with the eyes and might be worth trying to help clear Bug's vision a little.

      Forgot to mention it but he's had a round of Myxazin 😊 I'll actually probably try and get him looked at by a vet if the eyes don't clear up with good water. Seems they can go blind if Nitrates are above like 15-20ppm

    Hey Lou could you tell me what dewormer you use? Tia

    • @inthebagtropicalfishuk
      @inthebagtropicalfishuk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Normally Levimasole and Praziquantel based ones as I have random shrimp and snails in most tanks. Flubendazole if I'm desperate. All powered versions, normally Cloverleaf, from the pond section 😊
