I’ve gotten a $135 betta from Thailand that had some tumors on his head anytime I would do a water change it would grow even bigger. I’ve had a $4 betta from petsmart that had the same issue. But I never knew other types of fish are prone to getting tumors.

Are pea puffers as personable/intelligent as mbu puffers? What about red eye red tail puffers? Also how do these puffers compare to other interactive fish like bettas and flowerhorns? My friend once had a flowerhorn that was trained to do tricks and be petted, so could puffers do the same?
Lol I actually did indeed pick up my mbu at my local fish store. His name is Arnold... Over 200$ and that is the cheapest part of keeping him lol he is tiny right now but eventually we are moving him into a swimming pool that will be indoors. The mbu puffer is my favorite fish on the planet.

That would lead me to believe that they could benefit from some of the tumor suppressant natural compounds such as Sulforaphane, which have independently been shown to increase the lifespan of certain insects and such. If you guys are interested in a virtually no risk potential preventive measure for the tumors I could cite the studies and shoot you guys an email. Studies have shown lifespan improvements with Sulforaphane at just 1% of the diet by mass, so it'd be pretty easy to do
There’s still hundreds and hundreds sometimes they end up in the goldfish tank below because of the overflow then they get taken to the guppy tanks. I’ve never seen him eat a guppy though doesn’t mean he hasn’t haha.
