Not only was Hideo Kojima and Del Torro going to make this masterpiece of horror, but famous Horror Mangaka Junji Ito was going to design the monsters and the goriest stuff for this game
the teaser alone paved the way for numerous titles that attempted to replicate it. The silent hill games (1-4) have always been classic examples of how far storytelling and tone can go in horror games, and it could’ve been the same for this one.

It's 2019. 5 years later. Death Stranding is about to release. I'm still incredibly sad about this game being cancelled, and what was most likely the death if my favorite franchise, silent hill.

Just think, in an alternate universe, this game came to be, and turned out one of the best in the entire horror game genre, and Hideo, Guillermo, Junji, and Norman won about as many awards as Last of Us Pt. 2. And they would have deserved every one of them. So we can take comfort in the thought that an alternate universe got to experience this game.

I cant get over it... Silent Hills the game that would have changed everyone's point of view of Survival Horror. Man I’ll never let this game go... as a massive fan of horror, after playing PT I was excited beyond explanation for this game. That demo alone was terrifying, and I imagined that level of terror but in a 10+ hour experience. I pictured walking through an abandoned hospital, apartment building, forests etc. in Silent Hill. The fact this game was cancelled is an absolute shame.

Man I’ll never let this game go... as a massive fan of horror, after playing PT I was excited beyond explanation for this game. That demo alone was terrifying, and I imagined that level of terror but in a 10+ hour experience. I pictured walking through an abandoned hospital, apartment building, forests etc. in Silent Hill. The fact this game was cancelled is an absolute shame.
