@@p6mkqI actually prefer Adventure over Legends. Despite the stiff controls and slowdowns, Adventure has better sprites and music. Legends just looks and sounds terrible and the stiff controls are back in full force. Also, Legends came out 1997 in Japan and 1998 in the US/EU, so it's a pretty late entry to the Game Boy library. N64 had been around over a year at that point. Needless to say, Legends felt like a cheap cash grab back then and no one was impressed. There's just no excuse that it sucked so hard.
I finally did 2 years ago, but it was tough as nails. The first 4 stages are pretty simple, but the last 2 are pretty rough, especially with that snake boss. The last fight with Dracula is just diabolical if you don't know where to stand.
The only Castlevania, I think, where you start from right to left
In 2 out of the 4 initial castles, which you can complete in any order you choose.
Didn't even notice, good catch, this was also sorta the redemption for Simon's quest LOL!
In Symphony of the Night, you go left first because it starts at the end of Dracula X.
Vampires I understand, but what do these Belmont's have against candles?
I wonder why this wasn't chosen as the first Castlevania Game Boy title for the Nintendo Switch Online? 🤔

Crystal Castle is the best castle. Its theme was used in stage 3 of Castlevania Adventure Rebirth.
Hi, good gameplay
Another 1st for me in the franchise.
Of all 3 Game Boy games, this is the only one I genuinely enjoy. Adventure is too broken, and Legends is just...meh.
Revenge > Legends ( not bad)> Adventure ( bleh)
