Happy upcoming Birthday!! Can you take photos of the stove's compartments and take them to an antique shop to see if they can give you info on how to proceed with it? the light in the future family room is great.
Lots of good stuff accomplished! Something I’ve used in the past to remove wallpaper is first scratch it up with the edge of a scraper or there’s an actual tool for that (can’t remember what it’s called) then spray it with a mix of water and liquid fabric softener. Proportions 1 to 3 measures of fabric softener to hot water. Spray it on and let it sit for a while. Then scrape. I’d test it in a small area that would be inconspicuous first just to make sure it doesn’t damage the wall.
@@OurPlaceinSicily I have a recipe everyone loves-sweet enough to eat alone, but also wonderful con burro! Happy to share the recipe if you don’t find one.🥹
No gas but it definitely all connects in one way or another. It used steam to heat, too, but I haven’t found any more information on how it worked yet.
Hmmm my gardener said they were yellow plums but when they get over ripe they get a little orange/red. They taste better when they are yellow. We’ll find out eventually!
Ciao! Thanks for your comment.☺️Doing what I can with the camera. I like that I exude wealth, I guess 🤣. But this is a paycheck to paycheck renovation for us. We are counting every penny so that we can do what we can to save this beauty! It make take us years but it will be worth it.
The walls and ceiling are so beautiful wow 🤩

The ceilings are so beautiful! I hope they can be restored or at least preserved in their present state.

Great suggestions! Thanks! 😊
Your fig tree looks like a Mission fig. We have one in our yard in the Phoenix AZ area. I make jam and bread. Soooo good!
Bread is a great idea!

Perhaps a Gas valve is the unidentified part on the stove part you had to bang to get open. That’s why there is a flue.

Hi, yellow plums are another variety of plums and do not change colors 🙂

Please, Jenn, too close to camera! And please restore the beautiful ceilings, seems like you can afford it. Please 😊
