Hey does the rear wheels lift up? Like the whole bar/axel thing? They don't seem secure. When I flip the car over the back wheels are lower then the front.

I'm happy you found the video useful. To be honest there isn't a way. I'd buy a charger that keeps a charge. That allows it to keep it plugged in despite what the Manual suggests.

The terminals are glued on. I personally took the glue off so I had access to the positive and negative leads. After unscrewing the metal brace slide the leads off. You should be able to take it out. Replace it with a new one and slide the leads back on along with the metal brace. No need to reglue it.
So I purchased the 12 volt ride on Jeep with mp3 and remote control for parents model number 235071. Apparently bought on Walmart.com but shipped from Jaxpetty. For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to put this together. I can’t find any videos or manuals online that are better then the one that came with it! Please please help!
Anyone have any issues with the steering? Our jeep turns passenger just fine, but only slightly to the driver side. I’ll have to contact “best choice products” tomorrow but I thought I would look around and see if anyone had already faced this issue.

@@pauljohnson2121 the blue is connected at the top right with white sqaure the wires that are in that place is red,black,blue & yellow. And the blue cord is the one thats on the very edge in that same square white but the other side of blue is cut and i cant seem where it goes ..

Hello! My steering for this doesn’t turn well. There’s no way my 2 year old can man handle this steering. How do you allow better steering of the steering wheel? One of these comments said to use 2 medal tabs to allow for better steering? Not sure what that means. Please help lol.
Carmen Brown, the bar (axle) should stick out just far enough out from the center of the tire to slide the pins in. It shouldn't be hard at all. Also, make sure the tires are all the way on. Once you get the pins in bend them backwards to prevent the tire from coming off. Let me know if I need to send you a picture.
only problem u have is getting it to charge I had it charging all day and nothing when I plug in the cord is that power light suppose to come on indicating it is being charged?
Lui Bandz, if it is charging than the vehicle won't be able to turn on. that's a quick way of determining if the charging works. If it turns on than it's not charging. Of course if you have a dead battery nothing will happen.
I had it charging for about 14 hours or more than got home to see if it was ready unplugged the cord and connected the red wire onto battery and hit the power button and the light came on for 1 sec but died right away
Lui Bandz, make sure everything under the hood is comnected properly to the battery. It's possible the manufacturer didn't do a good job assembling. Read the rest of the comments below. I'm sure the answers your looking for are there too.
How did you program the remote? All I have on this remote is up & down with a S button on the left side of the remote. Left & right with a P button on the right side of the remote and transmitter written in the middle.
Andy, the Jeep won't turn on if charging. Try turning it on and if nothing happens it's either charging or dead. It takes about 18 hours for a full charge.
Sure thing Jesse Leos. First, you need a flat head screw driver. Second, find slots on either side of the steering column. Both slots are found just below the steering wheel and on the right and left sides of the neck. Apply pressure up as if trying to pull the steering wheel off. Don't use too much pressure to prevent it from breaking. Use the flat head screw driver and press it in one slot first than the other while still pulling on the steering wheel. It should pop out. Let me know if you need more help.
Duracell Ultra AGM SLA 12V 7AH Battery - .187 Terminal SLA12-7F. You can look it up at batteryplus.com. That's what I use in it right now. I hope that helps.

Kristina Paetzold, I feel the frustration. So, if you look closely I did scrape the metal in the process of bending the hole just enough so the screw fit snug. I used a flat head screw driver to bend the hole. I hope that helps.
Just received mine and I can't get the gas pedal to move the car. Nothing happens when I press it. I fully charged it and have been running it with the remote only. Completely works with parent remote but not manually with gas pedal. Any clues? I've called Customer Service but I've yet to hear back from them. Emailed and called.

Hey Paul, I am having one issue with this. Getting the AUX/USB/Local radio to work. The preset music plays, but when I plug in my phone via AUX cable the radio display briefly reads "AUX" but then goes away and the music from my phone doesn't play through the Jeep speakers. I also don't know how to get the local radio stations to play. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Zachary Widener, I can't be certain without looking at it, but it's possible there is a connection problem from either the speaker side or the port side. The only other possibility is the phone. Have you tried other devices? I've recently realized local radio states can be played but not many. You'll have to press the mode button to get FM or AM.
Danielle Lyden, turn the vehicle on and press and hold the syn button on the remote for a good five seconds. The button is located just above the three LED lights on the remote. The jeep and remote should synchronize and allow you to control the jeep.
Gumaro, if I remember correctly the suggested time is 16 hours. If it's charging correctly the car shouldn't start when the button is pressed. To be honest I didn't like the original battery and purchased another one at batteries plus. If there is still a discount for purchasing online with in-store pickup than it's worth it. Mine was a Duracell for around $35 after discount and taxes.
jeff castro, my apologies for the late reply. If you plug it in as if it is charging and try to turn it on than it shouldn't turn on. If it is not charging the car will start. Even if there is a little juice in the battery it should flicker on.
Cinthia Cardenas, no problem. After looking for an assembly video myself I couldn't find one. I had to take action to prevent possible disasters this Christmas. It appears many more people had similar issues. I hope the company is aware of these issues since it seems like a well made product. The only exception are the poor instructions and the pre-assembly during manufacturing. Anyway, Merry Christmas!

Fernie Rodriguez, that's a good question. I'm certain it's custom to the vehicle, so I'm not sure you can get just any axle even if it's the right length or width. If you bought it from Amazon I'd suggest getting them to send a replacement ASAP, or if it's affordable buy another one while you wait for the reimbursement. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.
Help Paul, I'm putting together the same Jeep, problem is a plug from under the hood to the back of the power button dash was not connected at the factory. There a 2 sockets it could possibly fit..can you look under your dash and take a pic with your phone and see which socket is the correct one for the plug with the yellow wires, either center or outside socket. hi there! so we have it all set up and the thing won't move and the radio won't work. ours didn't come with instructions and my husband said it was working fine last night. but today when my son went to use it, it wasn't working. with the remote it will move backwards but that's it. so conclusion no forward or backward movement with the pedal, radio isn't working, and it will only move backwards with the remote. Any suggestions?
WholelisticMama, I am not sure where to begin. I can start with the wires. Maybe not all the wires are connected correctly. That wouldn't be your fault. Sometimes the manufacture doesn't get everything right. Also, leave the battery plugged in for 18 hours. I know my instructions said the first time charging the battery to leave it in for a full 18 hours or so. Without completing some troubleshooting myself I can't eliminate possibilities, so I would start with what I've talked about. If all else fails it could be the battery. Ask about getting a replacement. If you notice anything different let me know and we can go from there.

Turn the vehicle on and press the top center button on the remote. I recall you have to hold it in for like 5s. I hope that helps. Note the button I'm talking about doesn't look like a button but it's there I promise.
Paul, I am so upset that I didn't watch your video before attempting this disasterous assembly first. Between your video and my frustration, the Jeep is now together; however, I cannot get the steering wheel on properly. There seems to be no room given the wires and connector assembly that must be dealt with. Any suggestions -- time is running out for Christmas morning. Thanks for you assistance. Buddy Shear
John Shear, I did leave that part out. I should've included it. First connect the male and female ends together. Second, the connector fits in a slot inside the steering wheel. Third, you have to slide the steering wheel on. It's a little tricky but it does fit. When I get home I'll try to disassemble and take a picture.
Thanks for response. I see the slot in the steering wheel but it appears to line up with the steering column shaft to produce tension to steer. The male/female (not sure which is which) connector coming from the car chassis is very very short whereas the other one attached within the steering wheel is longer. When both are connected there is no room to insert the steering wheel. Am at a loss.. Awaiting your photo, I appreciate your patience. Also on the steering shaft end there is a "U" shapped protrusion which I see no use for?? My instructions were pitiful. There was not even a mention of the remote, so I don't know if there is a setting in the car to overide the grandson driving it and the remote takes over. Thoughts?? Thanks for helping.
John Shear, the link to the pictures are at the below link. The remote is the primary control for the vehicle, and the controls on the vehicle are secondary. The controller needs to be synced so follow the instructions on the box it came in. The instructions refer to the sync button on the remote. This button is located at the top above the three LED lights. The button also has the word "Weelye" on it. I'll need a picture of what you mean when referring to the U shape steering column so I don't misinterpret what you mean. Lastly, make sure the battery is charged for a full 18 hours (maybe longer; refer to the instructions) the first time plugging it in. Thanks for the photos. I think I now realize my problem. The wires extending from the chassis are extremely short and not wrapped in a tube. They are so short that the connector will not extend past the end of the shaft which accepts the wheel. I have tried to pull them out a little bit, but it is impossible. I am not computer literate enough to send pictures like you did but I would like for you to see it for other possible ideas. My cell phone is 256-736-3407. Jennifer, if you have a voltmeter, multimeter, and anyone that knows how to use either one than try seeing how many volts it's putting out. Since it's a 12 Volt battery it should read around 12V. On the bright side any store that sells Rideon Cars will have replacement batteries.
Jennifer, something is telling me that the battery doesn't have a complete connection. Check to see if both wires are all the way on the battery. I'm sorry you're having this issue.

Joe Huff, of course make sure you have fresh batteries and they are installed correctly. There are comments below that address this in more detail, but essentially make sure you turn the vehicle on, press and hold the synchronization button on the remote for about 5s. It should sync to the vehicle.
Matthew Ransom, I haven't tried it yet, but my best guess is to try finding, and pressing, a button on the radio to switch it to the phone's output. I'll check later and let you know for certain.
Can anyone help me!? I purchased the pink 2 sweater ATV from big toys green country. Put it together last night, it worked for 10min and then we heard a pop/click like the sound of a fuse blowing and now I can get absolutely no power. I’ve charged it and still nothing. Support won’t help me until they’re open Tuesday but that’s AFTER Christmas and I’m heartbroken. This thing was 560$! Please if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it and you would save Christmas for our family!
April Chavis, the first step is to check the battery. You'll need a voltmeter or a multimeter. If you don't know how to test the battery than ask neighbors. One neighbor should know. Second, be sure all wires are connected. Mine shipped with connections undone. Wires can also get pinched if pre-installed parts are not put together properly which causes wires to sever. Third, assuming you have a good battery, make sure the lights turn on. Be sure the battery is charged and vehicle is unplugged. Note the vehicle won't turn on while plugged in. So, if the lights are on but the vehicle won't move when the pedal is pressed than there could be a mechanical problem. If this is the case then it's possible the motor is broken and needs replacing. Replacement motors are possible to find at places like Radio Shack. Additionally, if you look through comments I've given links to pictures describing where wires are ran.
Paul Johnson I’m trying to track down one of those voltmeters. No light or power of any kind at all even when it’s plugged in. Everything was working for like 10 min and now nothing. I checked every single connector I could get to even taking the thing apart.

Rjribs46 I saw another you tube video that showed you can bend 2 metal tabs down to allow for more turning of the steering wheel.

Yes, they are not nuts so the only thing holding them in place is the bent pin.

I'm not sure why they would be rubbing. I assume you used the washers and cotter pins where necessary.

Your porblem looks like it's a problem at 4:18 to 4:55. Were you able to attach the steering to the suspension with the cotter pin?

Javancy Jones, about 18 hours is recommended. The battery isn't the best, so I would recommend changing it with one at batteries plus. Id's like $30.

To be honest I didn't like the original battery and purchased another one at batteries plus. If there is still a discount for purchasing online with in-store pickup than it's worth it. Mine was a Duracell for around $35 after discount and taxes.

jeff castro, my apologies for the late reply. If you plug it in as if it is charging and try to turn it on than it shouldn't turn on. If it is not charging the car will start. Even if there is a little juice in the battery it should flicker on.

Cinthia Cardenas, no problem. After looking for an assembly video myself I couldn't find one. I had to take action to prevent possible disasters this Christmas. It appears many more people had similar issues. I hope the company is aware of these issues since it seems like a well made product. The only exception are the poor instructions and the pre-assembly during manufacturing. Anyway, Merry Christmas!

Fernie Rodriguez, that's a good question. I'm certain it's custom to the vehicle, so I'm not sure you can get just any axle even if it's the right length or width. If you bought it from Amazon I'd suggest getting them to send a replacement ASAP, or if it's affordable buy another one while you wait for the reimbursement. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.

Help Paul, I'm putting together the same Jeep, problem is a plug from under the hood to the back of the power button dash was not connected at the factory. There a 2 sockets it could possibly fit..can you look under your dash and take a pic with your phone and see which socket is the correct one for the plug with the yellow wires, either center or outside socket. anyone know how to turn off the radio??
hi there! so we have it all set up and the thing won't move and the radio won't work. ours didn't come with instructions and my husband said it was working fine last night. but today when my son went to use it, it wasn't working. with the remote it will move backwards but that's it. so conclusion no forward or backward movement with the pedal, radio isn't working, and it will only move backwards with the remote. Any suggestions?
WholelisticMama, I am not sure where to begin. I can start with the wires. Maybe not all the wires are connected correctly. That wouldn't be your fault. Sometimes the manufacture doesn't get everything right. Also, leave the battery plugged in for 18 hours. I know my instructions said the first time charging the battery to leave it in for a full 18 hours or so. Without completing some troubleshooting myself I can't eliminate possibilities, so I would start with what I've talked about. If all else fails it could be the battery. Ask about getting a replacement. If you notice anything different let me know and we can go from there.

Turn the vehicle on and press the top center button on the remote. I recall you have to hold it in for like 5s. I hope that helps. Note the button I'm talking about doesn't look like a button but it's there I promise.

Paul, I am so upset that I didn't watch your video before attempting this disasterous assembly first. Between your video and my frustration, the Jeep is now together; however, I cannot get the steering wheel on properly. There seems to be no room given the wires and connector assembly that must be dealt with. Any suggestions -- time is running out for Christmas morning. Thanks for you assistance. Buddy Shear
John Shear, I did leave that part out. I should've included it. First connect the male and female ends together. Second, the connector fits in a slot inside the steering wheel. Third, you have to slide the steering wheel on. It's a little tricky but it does fit. When I get home I'll try to disassemble and take a picture.
Thanks for response. I see the slot in the steering wheel but it appears to line up with the steering column shaft to produce tension to steer. The male/female (not sure which is which) connector coming from the car chassis is very very short whereas the other one attached within the steering wheel is longer. When both are connected there is no room to insert the steering wheel. Am at a loss.. Awaiting your photo, I appreciate your patience. Also on the steering shaft end there is a "U" shapped protrusion which I see no use for?? My instructions were pitiful. There was not even a mention of the remote, so I don't know if there is a setting in the car to overide the grandson driving it and the remote takes over. Thoughts?? Thanks for helping.
John Shear, the link to the pictures are at the below link. The remote is the primary control for the vehicle, and the controls on the vehicle are secondary. The controller needs to be synced so follow the instructions on the box it came in. The instructions refer to the sync button on the remote. This button is located at the top above the three LED lights. The button also has the word "Weelye" on it. I'll need a picture of what you mean when referring to the U shape steering column so I don't misinterpret what you mean. Lastly, make sure the battery is charged for a full 18 hours (maybe longer; refer to the instructions) the first time plugging it in. Let me know if I can be of any more help.

Thanks for the photos. I think I now realize my problem. The wires extending from the chassis are extremely short and not wrapped in a tube. They are so short that the connector will not extend past the end of the shaft which accepts the wheel. I have tried to pull them out a little bit, but it is impossible. I am not computer literate enough to send pictures like you did but I would like for you to see it for other possible ideas. My cell phone is 256-736-3407. Anyone have trouble having no power to the jeep after a 12 hr charge? I've got the battery connected and a charge on the battery. I'm so frustrated!
Jennifer, if you have a voltmeter, multimeter, and anyone that knows how to use either one than try seeing how many volts it's putting out. Since it's a 12 Volt battery it should read around 12V. On the bright side any store that sells Rideon Cars will have replacement batteries.
Jennifer, something is telling me that the battery doesn't have a complete connection. Check to see if both wires are all the way on the battery. I'm sorry you're having this issue.

My remote won't work
Joe Huff, of course make sure you have fresh batteries and they are installed correctly. There are comments below that address this in more detail, but essentially make sure you turn the vehicle on, press and hold the synchronization button on the remote for about 5s. It should sync to the vehicle.
how to you use the AUX for the phone. mine will plug in and start charging phone but the music won't come through jeep speaker
Matthew Ransom, I haven't tried it yet, but my best guess is to try finding, and pressing, a button on the radio to switch it to the phone's output. I'll check later and let you know for certain.
Can anyone help me!? I purchased the pink 2 sweater ATV from big toys green country. Put it together last night, it worked for 10min and then we heard a pop/click like the sound of a fuse blowing and now I can get absolutely no power. I’ve charged it and still nothing. Support won’t help me until they’re open Tuesday but that’s AFTER Christmas and I’m heartbroken. This thing was 560$! Please if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it and you would save Christmas for our family!
April Chavis, the first step is to check the battery. You'll need a voltmeter or a multimeter. If you don't know how to test the battery than ask neighbors. One neighbor should know. Second, be sure all wires are connected. Mine shipped with connections undone. Wires can also get pinched if pre-installed parts are not put together properly which causes wires to sever. Third, assuming you have a good battery, make sure the lights turn on. Be sure the battery is charged and vehicle is unplugged. Note the vehicle won't turn on while plugged in. So, if the lights are on but the vehicle won't move when the pedal is pressed than there could be a mechanical problem. If this is the case then it's possible the motor is broken and needs replacing. Replacement motors are possible to find at places like Radio Shack. Additionally, if you look through comments I've given links to pictures describing where wires are ran.
