Yes the Canon is a great camera. However the comparison seems to have two different lighting scenarios and you're closer in the Canon shot. The right tweaks could bring the iPhone very close in results to the Canon. Both are good options.
A lot of youtubers really like the g7x! Personally I love it, and it’s a good price for a first camera. The compact design is nice as well as the flip up screen you just can’t beat.

Hey! I don’t know when I’ll make a video on this but I use my camera to film but started with my iPhone, and use Adobe premiere pro on my pc to edit, photoshop for thumbnails. Imovie is great if you’re starting out!

I would say if you are wanting a new phone anyway then to get it! I recommend iPhone 11 or 12 their cameras are really good. Then wait to get a camera as it is expensive!

I want a vlogging camera along with a camera I can use to take pictures. Pictures as in random things like date night with my husband, selfies, arrival of our baby, or going on a trip. I’m no professional. I just want something that’ll be better than my iPhone XR and that I can keep in my purse at all times because my camera on my phone sucks. I wanted the camera to be a all in one and something SMALL because eventually I wanted to start with TH-cam which is why I wanted it for the vlogging part. What do you think? Are most of your Instagram pictures taken with this camera?
I don’t take my Instagram photos with this camera but I do take all my thumbnail pictures with it! It has a pretty good camera so I’m sure you could use it for both and it’s nice and compact so it can fit in your purse

I don’t know anything about the SONY ZV1 other than it is $300 more expensive. It has a longer battery life and has a side swivel screen instead of a top flip screen
You have to base that on features your camera might come with some features that the other camera doesn't then you have those that come with features that yrs don't.
Your going to have to buy an adapter your talking about the SD card right? Bcus I have a PC and it didn’t have a SD card slot so I had to buy a adapter.

I used my phone so I could see myself so the back camera, it’s better quality if you use the front but I like to see myself when I record which is why I like the g7x so much!
Im trying to find a camera for my nail tutorial videos. Can I aim the camera down at my table and have the screen up towards me so that I could see what I'm doing? I can't tell if the screen bends that way.

Hi It’s pretty easy to use! I’m pretty sure it has an SD inside and I use 2 batteries! One from Amazon and one canon

I would say if you’re looking for something more budget friendly go for the G7X . They are pretty much the same camera
