Magic: The Gathering Game Night Free-For-All was released on October 14, 2022. Typical retail price is $50 USD. Does it deserve a place at your next game night?🤔
if I wanted to make a mod base with these decks for fun wouldn't it be bad? it would be a gift so I would spend the money maybe focus on a deck that suits me or I combine them and buy the cards separately
i got the 2019 one, and OMG they really improved the product for this edition. bolt, counterspell, sign in blood, abrade, swords to plowshares, multiple copies of key cards...
very surprised at the quality of the deck builds here, as well as the fact that every deck of every color is about equally good, to be pre-built out of the box decks for beginners, its almost barely just a little. too difficult for someone who isn't serious about learning to play, however, if someone is very serious about learning and playing, these decks are, again, surprisingly well crafted. good job wizards. a relatively cheap, well planned and well executed box of decks for new players and casuals, and, I dont hate it.
I really want this one but seemingly none have yet arrived in Finland. Hopefully it's just a logistics delay till next week because a 20€ shipping cost from Amazon is quite steep..
@@3stone1 Yeah it's not great :/ This was much more hype for me than any commander precon released so far this year(the Brothers War ones are up there though)
There's 9 different type's of mtg player. the five monos, The artifact lover, The colorless creep, the phyrexian freak. And no one wants to forget about you multicolored mutants. This game is fun.
But in general - a nice, self-contained product, decent decks for casual mtg fun. Like it. One small things is already mentioned Ram Through situation and, in example, addition in Lightning Bolt - to me its strange to introduce players to this type of power-spikes, atleast Red deck doesn't have a shock or it would be even more strange. I just think that 3 damage for R on instance speed is a blast from the past and now we all settled on 3 for 2, (or 2 for 1) so this is not a good idea to show new players that 3 for R is a real card, it kinda broke balance of Red damage-burst removal. But maybe its just me. And decks itself is nice, I like how 4 out of 5 is not exactly what I've expected, Red is not goblin-agro, Greed is not as Big-stompy, White have a neat twist with all that equipment synergy and they are not just a small-dudes agro and Blue is a lot more goad-oriented as I would think... But in Blue deck lay problem that I have, exactly with this deck - its just TOO politic-based and so its almost unplayable in 1v1 situations, because even your amazing interesting foil is a goad creature and it just like almost a vanilla body... In foil. Well, atleast you could goad small priority targets so you could kill them while blocking their provoked attack, but still I think this deck is sligtly more multiplayer based that it could be. Other than that - pretty solid stuff! Like it a lot.
Is it just me or is Doomblade way too OP in the black deck? It’s a guaranteed 2 mana destroy creature. This has to be the best [only black] removal spell ever printed given the context.
As disappointing as it is to not have sleeve space, I'd just buy some cheap deck boxes and remove the insert. If you're buying this as a collectors item you wouldn't want to use it anyway.
It seems like they have taken feedback from previous Game Nights products that the decks were pretty uninteresting. These have some spicier reprints and seem like they should have more engaging play
Looks like a good buy for beginners and each of those 5 decks has some cards for Commander decks I am either running or building (another Kobold!). Will probably pick up a copy or ask for it for Xmas as I never know what to ask for.
Green only got one. They most likely didn't have other legendaries in mind for those colors that they wanted to reprint, or that fit in with what the deck was trying to do. Splashing in a legendary that doesn't fit with the deck wouldn't make sense.
IMHO its kinda strange how they put ram through and rapid bite in a same Green deck, because to me its strange to present new players straight to powercreep situation when one card is just a much better version of another. If they atleast get their types swapped then it would be fine (but I understand that this would be strange if it just would be a instance speed RB and sorcery RT), because then atleast new player could just say like "Oh, ok, I get an additional benefit of ram thought+trample, but because of this its a slow spell, and bite is fast but slightly less usefull in a raw value"... Because right now they would probably just gonna get confused why one card is just a better copy of another.

How can they not include space for sleeved cards in 2022.
How dare you to demand a well thought-out product?
@@thetasworld thrown out of the office window meme guy is me
They had to save money for the 30th anniversary set.
I cut the front and bottom of each pocket and they fit standing up. Looks kind of cool lol

Love the box. Hate how you can't fit sleeved cards inside.
This is an awesome product to play with friends who would like to learn about this game.
the box looks amazing! wish I could keep the decks with sleeves in there

Yup, same for Croatia. Can't wait
Same for germany
Even the German version got removed from Amazon, I think it's just typical wotc they can't print the stuff they dump out fast enough

I just picked this up at my game store earlier today lol

10 if you include the lands and destruction guy.
I just got into mtg and I can say I’m on my way of becoming a phyrexian freak, I love this game and it’s lore!

Is there enough space to sleeve up those decks and put them back in their slots?
No, it's a tight fit!

This was a year ago. How is this stuff looking in rotation? I am considering starting MTG and 5 decks of each colour seems like a good deal.
These are perfect for beginners and game nights with family and friends. Not competitive in any format, as far as I know.
This is cool I guess, I have a few friends I could perhaps red pill with this. Get them into it.
Every time i see the card broken wings i start sing broken wings from mister mister

They didn’t make the deck slots larger enough to fit sleeved cards…..

I’m going to pick one up. Thank you sir
nice box! thinking about getting this one
Red is the best! ❤️
Does anyone know why #66 Zombify wasn’t included in the final product? Oversight?
I saw StarCityGames asked Wizards about that on Twitter. No official response yet.
Why is it that the blue deck has only 1 legendary creature while the others have 2?
Green only got one. They most likely didn't have other legendaries in mind for those colors that they wanted to reprint, or that fit in with what the deck was trying to do. Splashing in a legendary that doesn't fit with the deck wouldn't make sense.
Are these maps suitable for standard mode ?
The decks aren't Standard format legal, if that's what you mean?
Kinda funny, according to "stats" the White deck is strictly worse than Green deck
Gonna need to pick one up for suresies. Maybe two and leave one unopened for later sale.
I have some comming in, they look to be great xmas gifts to act as solo boxed games.
Is this going to be found at Walmart and target or just LGS?
Just online or local game stores. I didn't see any at multiple Walmarts on release day, and Target's site says online-only.
There carry them at my local target

How much is this box
$50 USD
Did I counted 50 bucks worth of cards if you were to sell those singles?
$17
Suck that the blue one is clearly not made for 1v1 match.
