As much as I love game collecting I don't really understand collecting every game for one console. Personally my collection only includes games that I at least have some interest in collecting, which is why i would never get a Barbie Dreamhouse game, but to each their own. The biggest use of my Wii U is to play wii games, much larger and better game library. Since Wii games are dirt cheap now, It's a great time for me to expand my Wii collection.
Unfortunately I'm missing some ones that were super easy to get in the beginning that I just didn't pick up because I thought they would be available for a long time. Ones like Kirby, Samus and the dreaded Toon Link.
great collection brother, although wii u is probably the easiest console to own complete a collection on, it only has around 200 retail games and that is very unlikely to increase by much, now compare that to ps2 which has 2000+ or nes which has 1000 and you can see where im coming from

Hey Finn, I've got a bit to say, so bear with me lol First of all what a great WiiU collection! So many games that I wish they would have released in the west, Dragon Quest and Monster Hunter series to name a couple. I think just maybe that would have helped the system out a bit. Like I mentioned, I do have several duplicates as well, one opened, one sealed. For this video I picked all the sealed ones to display, but I'm sure I'll regret that down the line when people comment about me not playing games. ;D Rest assured, I have played all GOOD games on the system. :) Yeah, get your Wii U stuff during when they get cheaper in the following year. I guarantee you they'll go back up again, as the games of failed quality consoles do (Like Saturn and Dreamcast).

Coming back to this vid again. It's amazing how quick the console ended yet this collection shows how the entire library looks like. I guess Nintendo finally ends it with breath of the wild.
That last shot of all the bottoms of the boxes with different Wii U logos was great. I've only got 8 physical Wii U games so far, with a few random digital copies of retail games, and some virtual console/downloadable ones. I'll definitely be getting more at some point but I just need them to drop in price.
Hopefully Nintendo selects helped with your collection! I've been finding wii u games pretty cheap online on eBay and gameflip (An app that lets you buys games. It's like eBay but I find the prices are better sometimes) GameStop isn't so bad with the preowned either.

Well, ironically, getting the good games is easy for any console. It's the bad, poorly sold, small region release dogpiles that are the hardest to find, and therefore reward more as a collector. :)

I think the only Wii U games that have risen in value from their retail price are the New York Nintendo Store exclusives, Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors (which are the axact same as our European special editions.) So far. There will be some that will be rarer or more sought after, just not sure which yet. :)

I have about 10 games to go, although I'm just collecting NA releases, and not every single variant :) still around 160 or so games... If you get into Wii U collecting after the nx which won't be out for at least a year the cost of wii u game's would of sky rocketed.I bought a Wii U a month ago and am buying Wii U game's now before they become out of print and cost a fortune.Some Wii U game's have gone up in price for example tekken tag 2 I've seen sell for at least £80 for a brand new physical copy.
According to freedomfactorystudios.com website Bloodbath (PS3 euro exclusive for Spain) will be on WiiU, and also Young Justice - Legacy. However I can't see any on eBay. Another PS3 rarity is kick-ass 2 but I have no idea if that got ported to WiiU. Good luck with finishing the collection as you've done an amazing job.
GameFAQs doesn't seem to know the Wii U version of Bloodbath, and they say Young Justice League Wii U was cancelled... But I'm sure I haven't found out about all released games yet, it's part of what makes collecting fun. :) Will keep an eye out for Bloodbath.

If it becomes like the wii or ps2 most of them games are now worth £1 - £2 and you stand to loose a fair bit of money. That is a good question. I started collecting for the Wii U when I found a good buch of games on a heavy discount at a store. I then searched online for more bargains. I've gotten the majority of this collection for a very good price. But once I caught up with new releases, I've been buying them for full price as they come along. It's dumb, but there are so few new releases I figured what the heck. In the short run I'm definitely out of pocket, a lot. But Nintendo's consoles are all heavily collected, and Wii U will be no different. In the future it might actually be one of the more sought after platforms due to it's low sales. So the prices will start to grow once it becomes "retro". The same will be true for the PS2, I guarantee it's prices will go up as well, like they did with the PS1.
Just got the last missing unique game! Still missing a few editions of games I already have, but basically I'm finished. :) I'll wait for all announced games to come and and then do a "complete collection" video.

Yeah, that´s great :) Another great thing is, that i still ned to pick up a lot of the cheaper games. Just made some research of the complete PAL set, and according to "my definition of the PAL set", it will run me in around 30.000 danish kroner, if i would buy all games on Ebay, but with some good deals / trades, i have already saved a good amount i think. In my collection, i often experience to focus on a specific platform for some time, and they shift to another platform. This regards gaming as well as collection. Before i focused on the Wii U, it was PS Vita, where i have around 50% of a PAL collection, and before that it was N64 (~43%). Do you shift in your collection goals (focus), or do you collect widely and for all platforms? What will your next focus be, and does it match the platform where you do most of the gaming? (my gaming focus is on my X1 atm :P)
Does the Black Chest Edition of Assassin's Creed 4 exist for the Wii U? I haven't been able to get a confirmation of that yet. If it really does, it must be the hardest game to hunt down! I love to watch your videos of the Wii U collection! They are very inspiring to me! Seeing the last part of this video with all the boxes, I really hope they will release ONE more too! ^^
It does exist, there are some expensive ones on eBay, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. :) And yeah, it's killing me there's one edition missing from the end of the video. :D

Well, concrete details are pretty scarce, but I'm all for physical media. The (rumoured) memory cards are a bit stretching the definition of game cartridges, but whatever it is, it'll have more character than a disc. And I know I'll love it. :D

Yeah, I know, but it's the same as the European special edition in all but outer package. I'll let US collector's have those copies. ;) I'm coming to the US next week for E3, I plan on getting at least the US Selects, as well as some other variants.
Yeah, like I mentioned, Wii U has 263 different editions, and I have 206 here. So dozens still missing, but those are just bonus collecting on top of getting all the unique games. I'm going to E3 soon, so I'll pick up all the US Selects (like Pikmin 3) then.
I'm collecting a full UK wii u set but not all the variants of each game, will try and get the limited/amiibo editions where i can. Im sure I've seen a trap team dark edition as I've been browsing through games on ebay.

Apparently the nx won't be backwards compatible and will use cartridge's instead but I can't confirm that 100%

If it becomes like the wii or ps2 most of them games are now worth £1 - £2 and you stand to loose a fair bit of money. Please don't take this as a negative comment, I also collect and am just curious on your thoughts. Love your channel, one of the best on TH-cam in my opinion.
That is a good question.
I started collecting for the Wii U when I found a good buch of games on a heavy discount at a store. I then searched online for more bargains. I've gotten the majority of this collection for a very good price. But once I caught up with new releases, I've been buying them for full price as they come along. It's dumb, but there are so few new releases I figured what the heck.
In the short run I'm definitely out of pocket, a lot. But Nintendo's consoles are all heavily collected, and Wii U will be no different. In the future it might actually be one of the more sought after platforms due to it's low sales. So the prices will start to grow once it becomes "retro". The same will be true for the PS2, I guarantee it's prices will go up as well, like they did with the PS1.

Yeah, that´s great :) Another great thing is, that i still ned to pick up a lot of the cheaper games. Just made some research of the complete PAL set, and according to "my definition of the PAL set", it will run me in around 30.000 danish kroner, if i would buy all games on Ebay, but with some good deals / trades, i have already saved a good amount i think.
In my collection, i often experience to focus on a specific platform for some time, and they shift to another platform. This regards gaming as well as collection. Before i focused on the Wii U, it was PS Vita, where i have around 50% of a PAL collection, and before that it was N64 (~43%). Do you shift in your collection goals (focus), or do you collect widely and for all platforms?
What will your next focus be, and does it match the platform where you do most of the gaming? (my gaming focus is on my X1 atm :P)

Does the Black Chest Edition of Assassin's Creed 4 exist for the Wii U? I haven't been able to get a confirmation of that yet. If it really does, it must be the hardest game to hunt down!

It does exist, there are some expensive ones on eBay, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. :)

Well, concrete details are pretty scarce, but I'm all for physical media. The (rumoured) memory cards are a bit stretching the definition of game cartridges, but whatever it is, it'll have more character than a disc. And I know I'll love it. :D

Yes, I'm Finnish. I've got my games from all over the place. Game stores, hypermarkets, online, eBay... where ever they are the cheapest.
There is another Mario kart 8. I wasn't sure if you knew. It's the Nintendo world store exclusive (in New York City). It's going for $600+ on eBay
We also have different Nintendo selects so you will have to find those as well

Yeah, like I mentioned, Wii U has 263 different editions, and I have 206 here. So dozens still missing, but those are just bonus collecting on top of getting all the unique games.

I'm collecting a full UK wii u set but not all the variants of each game, will try and get the limited/amiibo editions where i can. Im sure I've seen a trap team dark edition as I've been browsing through games on ebay.
