High risk high reward! This is definitely on my wish list. Was a bit concerned about not self-righting, but after watching many videos you really have to do some crazy jumps to flip it upside down.
Yeah, I heard it takes a lot to flip it. Off camera, the rapids took the boat under while I was playing. Couldn’t see it and it popped right back out, decals up. Pretty impressed it survived.
For the price and the included dirt cheap electronics the hull should be made of fiberglass and not an ABS plastic. And everything hardware wise should be stainless steel out of the box. I’ve heard a lot of folks complain about the plastic hull separating and/or just shotty assembly in general. The boat should be around the $250 range. Tops.
I totally agree I think this boat looks really good initially but yes should be fiberglass and stainless hardware for that price and personally id like it bigger even a 40 inch version. Just saw this boat and went strait to reviews and was really excited but let down fast. I mean no seals to attempt to stop water coming in and the bottom of hull looks like it leaks.
@@najstephy5565 I bought the original river jetboat a couple of years back, it sank on its maiden, just about managed to get it back, jet thruster was not sealed to the Hull and let water in, I wouldn't trust this company again on any of they're boats, garbage 😢

Definitely would like nice with a trailer!! I could feel the adrenaline rush up here in Upstate New York brother I thought those waves were pretty gnarly that took guts to put that Rascal out there, and with the water currents and everything else I'm surprised that's all the water that got inside but hey that's just my opinion what a great job proboat has done with this for sure.

I drove 45 minutes home, unpacked the car, made lunch and when I sat down to eat, my hands were still shaking. Kinda wild a model boat can get someone’s adrenaline going like that. They did a good job!
Awesome jet boat. Definitely a well needed departure from the previous Pro Boat River Jet in design and concept. Sure, that hull design led itself more towards flat water lake and river running, too. But I suppose that doesn't matter if it doesn't run well. My River Jet was a complete duck. Issue after issue after issue. This new boat looks like a true rapids performer, but I am curious why Pro Boat didn't include self righting this time. Flat and squaty hull - I get it. But that sure seems super risky for guys running it like it designed for in rapids.
Perhaps with the boat being so wide and flat, it would take a massive flywheel on the motor to get the right amount of inertia to get it flipped back over. And maybe that would hurt other areas of performance. Just a guess. But I wasn’t able to flip it even during my additional running when the cameras were off. The ProBoat guys said told me they only flipped it a few times in super harsh conditions. It seems stable. But yeah, there’s always a chance something will happen.
This is the exact type of conditions that this boat is designed for...but, I just don't think I could risk losing such an expensive machine in this type of water.
**PSA** for anyone looking to purchase. I Lost mine to the river the other night after flipping it! I would strongly recommend having a recovery plan In place prior to running this boat in the rapids. These boats are stable but they will flip and you will lose it if you can’t get to it quickly.

good evening, thank you for your video One question, I have a lot of boats and I grease the transmission hoses every time I go out. It's normal For this one, even if it's a rigid shaft, you still have to lubricate it But on the instructions, they don't say how often And the problem is that you have to dismantle everything each time and it's long and restrictive if you have the answer to my question thank you very much and have a good evening
Great boat but the back end is very weak with the adjustable trim tabs. Mine were broken off within two batteries and I barely touched any rocks. the corner of the skid plate is broken off at the back as well. I think they should have just made different angle trim tabs that could be swapped out and screwed right to the bottom of the boat or clipped in somehow. maybe they should have just found a happy medium and made them solid. I am going to make something better than the extremely delicate trim tabs that are (were) on there now. other than that it is really fun and easy to use. I really like the battery hold down system they use that clips right in. Makes it quick and easy to change.

I don’t know about that. Actually hoping to visit Niagara Falls soon. But the water flow was pretty intense here and the boat handled it. Wish I shot video of the dam a little ways up. Water was blasting straight out!

That looks super cool! That river section is beautiful. As a Florida man, we don't have much terrain like that here. Are you in PA? We were up there in July for a wedding and it was really pretty.

Thanks! Ah, I only heard the name. Don’t know much beyond it. I don’t have an actual run time. I haven’t run out a complete pack in the water yet. Was a little scared of it dying out there and getting swept out. So I’d bring it in early each pack.
