Good job only using one shinger to try nail paintand not all your shingers.
The allergic reaction might have been caused by the little shaker ball that most nailpolishes come with. They help to mix the paint easier when shaking, and are typically made of metal. It's the source of the rattle in Moriah's bottles, actually!

For future reference, if you choose to, there’s a product called a silicone nail stamper, that is supposed to give you the same results that the sponge thing did, at the tip of the nail. Possibly cleaner application. They’re pretty popular in the nail art arena

Hey Jackie, I love the way you did your nails, but I just would like to recommend asking Sika if she could test out the nail polish with you instead of putting your self at risk. But i love the nail colours and everything about them, yours and Moriahs relation ship is wonderful. Its great to see you posting videos again!

I think a cool top coat name would be “Clear as Day” then the front of the bottle could say “Top Coat” just for assurance!

Jackie I'd like to see you try doing poly gel nails. Think of it like a thick resin goop you paint into a nail form, place on your nail (or in your case your fake hand) harden with a uv light, and pop it out of the mold, & a little light filing and you're done. It's like a mashup of crafty stuff and nail stuff. I think you'd be able to do it ❤️❤️❤️

I get my overlay filled every 4 weeks. I only get the tips painted, either a single color, sometimes something random on the entire ring finger nail, or designs on the tips. I can't do the entire nail painted on every finger and I can not stand big, tacky things attached to my nails 😂 You asked what we do with our nails....there ya go...LOL

I’ve been a grain…for like four years now (maybe more) and you were the one that introduced me to Moriah many years ago. I am SO grateful you introduced me to her channel. I have my nail technician license and still feel like I'm just figuring it out 24/7 🤣
And I always use a dotting tool for nail art. Just clean it up with a brush dipped in acetone or alcohol

I use regular scissors to cut mine sometimes when I don’t feel like looking for my nail clippers 😂

I did Pickle nail art last year when I got my hoodie for Christmas, and it was so fun! I LOVE the chocolate drip you added so cute!

For future reference, you can use the lid from like, a plastic cottage cheese container or yogurt container and paint the nail polish onto it, let it dry, and peel it off. You can then cut it using small scissors or an xacto knife and apply the nail polish decals to the nail simply by painting a coat of top coat, laying the decal on, waiting for it to dry a bit, and then paint over it again with a top coat. Its a fun way to layer things... like if you wanted to layer a few pieces of fruit or make intersecting lines of color or layer sequentially smaller half circles to make a rainbow. You can also use the same top coat trick for applying small gems and even glitter. You just have to seal them in with another layer of top coat. Its all these coats that help add strength to the nails and help keep them from breaking if you're doing art on your natural nails. Personally, I love the idea of painting fakes so you can reapply them as many times as you'd like really.
Oh! You might also find UV builder gel fun. I recommend IBD builder gel which you can buy on Amazon. It's soak off too. You already have the light for curing it. Using the builder gel could help you form more interesting nail shapes. You could also combine a layer of UV builder gel and protective peel if you ever wanted to do nail art directly on your own nails and significantly reduce the risk of an allergic reaction.

I used to not do anything with my nails, I hardly even filed them, or removed the cuticle...I literally did nothing with them...but I've been watching nail channels for a while now and finally bought myself a polygel kit, a curing lamp, and decor stuff like glitter, foils and gems, I started doing my nails a few months ago and I'm addicted, I do my nails like every week now lol...I'm obsessed!!!! I'm spoiled with the gel polish now tho Cuz it cures as soon as u put it in the light, I despise regular polish now!!!

I'm sorry to hear you've had an allergic reaction - I do have some friends with skin allergies to metals who'd had some mild irritation, so you may be right - maybe some of the flecks have something metallic! :x

I love the concept of doing my nails and the act of doing them. But I can't stand actually wearing nail polish/paint or nails. 🤷 I feel like I have tiny heavy bricks on my fingers. 😬🤷 I end up peeling it all off without even being aware I'm doing it. 😂
Interesting 🤔 personally I can't stand it on my fingers but if it's on my toes it doesn't bother me. Maybe try that if you want to indulge in the world of nail-art? Just a suggestion.

To apply gems it’s best to use top coat / glue made special for gems. Just put a bit of top coat on and right after put the gems. Them a layer of top coat after to seal it! Love watching you explore more art forms!!!

Honestly, I agree with another commenter; you should probably have Sika test the nail polishes in the future for a living subject (unless, of course, she’s also allergic to the metallic components of cosmetics), it’s not worth it to cause yourself harm to test products for us. We’d all rather have you healthy and happy!
