A couple of weeks ago, we swapped the ram promaster 2500 van 2023 into a box truck ram pro master 3500 of 2017. Absolutely everything (engine, transmission, wiring, everything) Only one blind mirror sensor was missing. After 60 miles, there was first an error on the battery and then absolutely all the errors on the dashboard, including the transmission. The dealer station said that it was the missing blind mirror sensor. What do you think about this?
I think he had a Cardaq. I remember when I prepared his computer he just told me he bought the Cardaq so he wanted me to use this for the procedure. I have used the Autel JVCI many times and haven't had an issue.
@@AutelConsultancy the shop I was doing work with called me and updated me with the fix. They sent the Promaster to another dealer who also could not get the BCM to flash(I was concerned it was a hardware/software issue on my end). They wound up getting an engineer on the phone that determined the new BCM out the box was defective. They replaced the BCM and were able to flash with no issues.
@@bombmanize i had issues also I tried programming a new bcm (16 Promaster) using my jvci+ plus with witech and it would always come back as” unable to write data to bcm….” witech help desk was no use since the j box wasn’t a “verified” vci. Took it to the dealer and they programmed it with no issues.
It will tell you when doing bcm if it’s a rolling PIN code that’s different then the immo pin. Some vehicles make you use a rolling PIN code from nastf
@AutelConsultancy sorry, when you were trying to backup the data. I'm just wondering if it was just this specific Promaster, or does the IM608 not work for any? I had an issue with a 16 Q5. I've done many, but for some reason on that one, when pulling data from the car, it would go to 99%, then cycle back to the beginning, get to 99% again, then fail. I usually don't have problems adding keys for Audi, even that year Q5 model, but I think it was just an issue with that specific car.
@@jaymoney4265 I would say its VIN specific. It could be a variation of things such as software issues with the Autel , or just the way the module is that i wont allow us to do it. Usually what I have to do in cases that you describe is have my engineer analyze the session to determine if its a software glitch. If it is they would create a patch that will address the issue. Or they will tell me flat out that the autel doesnt support the vin.

Does this same procedure work on newer JEEP RENEGADO , since the IM608 finds a 5 - digit pin code and this car needs a 4-digit pin code?

I fell asleep when you mentioned Ram 😴 hope yr well though Curtis.
Its been my experience these vehicles use a rolling 4 digit PIN code, the 5 digit calculated by the IM608 will not work.
Use multiple scan tools to read PIN code before starting replacement
