He taught me to slow down in curves and not hit anything. Being 55, those things I was already privy to. The first 2 weeks when backing up on my own, well, fckn crazy. Nice. Im a beginner however we have to back our trailer into school grounds which drives me bonker. S turns that are really tight. They expected me to get it right the first time. I looked at them like they done lost the philip head screwdriver to the screw in their brain.
You really take the time to break all this down which is great, probably one of the better videos I've seen here... but all the stop an go, stop an go, stop an go gets really annoying next time could you show the whole turn in full time first and then go back to the stop an go. I almost didnt wanna wait til the end.
Its soo hard. yesterday, I had to back in a tight space very much like this... i got it in after like 10 pull ups...🤦♂️..i really need to study this video. Im still amazed how u got it in this space near perfect.
So i got another delivery.. of course they sent me to another tight customer location. But good news i was able to back it in with couple of pullups.. getting better at this backing after studying how the truck and trailer moves in this videos .. setup is crucial 👍😃👍
@@area51junkyard He didn't get it in, near perfect. He was actually way too far to the drivers side. His technique is solid though. Keep practicing and you'll get it.
Good job man, you back up, steer and speak fast in all your videos, I have to slow down the videos so I can analyse your steering and see how many full turn you use to initiate the bend or recover from it.
So just want to know what you guys think I'm a flatbed driver I haul pipe split axle trailer with a peterbilt 579 sleeper tractpr. I recently slid the 5th wheel all the way back ( before it was second to last hole) I figured it will give me better turning and uturn capabilities without worrying about hitting the tractor I'm in nj ny md pa de area I do good amount of city driving and I at times have to go into tight spots make tight turns and some unavoidable uturns. So will having it all the way back effect my turning or backing ? what about winter driving if i'm too light on my steers?? again before it was in second to last so I believe i wont feel a difference at all the truck is in the shop now for maintenance so i'm just analyzing on down time lol
This will help me just fine since I am a High School MATH Teacher. Most trainers are incompetent. They have NO abilities in pedagogy. Lacking pedagogy, they lack the ability to empathize because the trucking industry is dominated by the ALPHA MALE. You are a genius, buddy. Love this video!! Thanks!!
NICE MAN thank u!!!!
Do you have any videos on making turns in the city. Especially ones up north with poles on the curb.
Not right now
best explanation ever, thank you
Damn good video. I'm just now learning how to back up, and this is going to be a primary reference for me!
Very good, make sure to subscribe and pre-register for my game so you can practice.
Thanks for share your experiencia. Regards from El Salvador
Hey, you are very much welcome Sir
hi, I do appreciate your education. thanks a lot...
Good job man, you back up, steer and speak fast in all your videos, I have to slow down the videos so I can analyse your steering and see how many full turn you use to initiate the bend or recover from it.
I need to work on that I suppose... My accent doesn't help either
What accent do you have? To me it sounds kind of Irish, another trainee says Canada.
@@naturesangels6995 Irish

So just want to know what you guys think I'm a flatbed driver I haul pipe split axle trailer with a peterbilt 579 sleeper tractpr. I recently slid the 5th wheel all the way back ( before it was second to last hole) I figured it will give me better turning and uturn capabilities without worrying about hitting the tractor I'm in nj ny md pa de area I do good amount of city driving and I at times have to go into tight spots make tight turns and some unavoidable uturns. So will having it all the way back effect my turning or backing ? what about winter driving if i'm too light on my steers?? again before it was in second to last so I believe i wont feel a difference at all the truck is in the shop now for maintenance so i'm just analyzing on down time lol
im a new driver been driving for ten years still learning how to back
What are the principles of backing a semi truck and trailer?
