I filmed 2x antique tractors in Casalgrande, Reggio Emilia. In the video you can see the start up of a 1924 Landini 25, the first proto of tractor Landini. It features a mono - cylinder engine called hot head; it produces 25/30 hp. Then you can see a 1914 Landini 30 HP, an old machine with fixed hot - head motor. Listen to the sound and watch to the awesome proceedings of the start up!
Ho filmato due trattori antichi a Casalgrande, Reggio Emilia. Nel video potete vedere l'accensione di un Landini 25 del 1924, primo prototipo trattore Landini. Ha un motore monocilindrico chiamato Testacalda, che produce 25/30 cv. Poi potete vedere un Landini 30 HP, una vecchia macchina operatrice a motore fisso testacalda. Of ALL the OLD MACHINE START UP vids I've seen so far on youtube, THAT TAKES THE CAKE. That is the BEST stuff so far. Those machines are AWESOME. I assume the old tractor in the first part is a diesel, and the fire is acting as a glow plug to get the engine running. Just awesome. GREAT old machines. THANK YOU for the video.

Che bello leggere officine Landini Emilia. Ancora più bello vedere dal vivo questa operazione, che ebbi l'onore di osservare in un a fiera parecchi anni fa. E ancora più bello sentire raccontare dal mio vecchio oggi 88enne, quando lavorava i campi, e le macchine erano queste. Vita semplice, si faticosa ma piena di buoni propositi, e di gente semplice che si sapeva divertire con poco e si voleva davvero bene. Nulla a che a vedere con le generazioni odierne strafottenti e rincoglionite dai social.

Ha proprio ragione, è un piacere vedere una delle tante macchine e tanti marchi prodotti in Emilia, invidiati da tutto il mondo.
Provi a chiedere a suo padre se da bambino ha visto o fatto l'aratura con la funicolare(corde) la puleggia e l'ancora, usando i buoi o la macchina a vapore.

@@M.V.1 . Guardi ,non ho necessità di chiedere . Mio babbo ha vissuto in pieno quei tempi unici, dove la tecnologia ancora non aveva schiavizzato l'uomo. Quando lo vado a trovare , Lock down permettendo, non manco di chiedere ,di sapere e pur avendo già superato la 60ina ,pendo dalle labbra dei racconti dal mio fantastico vecchio. Come mio figlio dice sempre che io ho vissuto dei bei tempi , allo stesso tempo io credo che mio padre abbia vissuto dei bei tempi, nonostante la guerra . Tempi nei quali la stupidità non era ancora ai livelli odierni. Buona giornata.

Era solamente un ricordare, una particolare lavorazione del nostro passato, che oggi forse pochi conoscono o ricordano, a mè raccontata da piccolo da mia nonna che la faceva con i buoi.
Mi fa piacere che abbia avuto la fortuna di avere accanto, nel corso della vita, suo padre da cui poter apprendere tanti racconti del passato, ricordi di un'epoca che non dovrebbero andare persi nel tempo.

@@M.V.1 Non la ho presa assolutamente come una provocazione, anzi mi ha indotto a desiderare di ascoltare ancora quei racconti. Noi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di vivere seppur di riflesso quei tempi. Quando sento il mio vecchio raccontare, sento quasi le sensazioni di quel tempo andato. Grazie per lo scambio di idee.

It is incredible how much we as humanity have achieved in terms of internal combustion technology through ages. This primitive, though very spectacular and interesting machines are incredibly far away from what we have now. I wonder what would happen if humanity invested hundred years of development in hot air (Stirling, Manson, Erikson) engines, rather than IC ones.

Video bellissimo, sarebbe interessante qualche spiegazione tecnica per i profani della materia.
La spiegazione e che una volta riscaldata la testa del Landini,e superata la,soglia di temperatura degli 80 gradi,nel momento che viene creata la compressione,l'aria presente al interno del pistone si riscalda ulteriormente,e aiutata dalla temperatura già alta nel momento della vaporizzazione della gasolio avviene la combustione,permettendo al motore di avviarsi😉😉😉😁questo intendevi,che meravigliosa tecnologia semplice e funzionale
