This is why I don’t have a metal detector...he’s looking for gold and silver, and I’m looking at all the beautiful big agates he works beside and I’m yelling at him to pick them up so I can see them better! Guess my “treasures” are of a different variety. LOL!

I went and bought my first metal detector, after watching this. A used Tesoro for $250. My first hour hunting I found a penny from 1989, a horseshoe, a mangled quarter & a silver necklace.
    I’m sold!!!

      Good luck metal detecting!!!
You can get little picture books from the state your in and it gives ALOT of good info., helps you to find stuff. The little books are about $25. or so and well worth it.
I found the spot where a very old house used to be useing a picture book. I found a box of beautiful silverware that are from the late 1700's or early 1800's and a box of Morgan Silver Dollars best two finds so far!!!
Be prepared to find ALOT of junk !!! If you find any old Coke bottles they can be worth $25. TO ALOT more if they're in great condition and are the real early ones.
      GOOD LUCK TO YOU. 👻🖑

GhostCity Shelton thanks for the tip :) so far I’ve just been using google maps, and checking out some spots that look promising! I recently found some bullet casings at the local high school, underneath the bleachers!! Isn’t that odd

@@kittybitch5964 You're welcome!! If you ever get down south where old plantions (abandoned) are you can usually find tons of neat things there.
Maybe they fell out of someone's pockets or maybe dummys are out there 'shooting' off a weapon or weapons thinking they're 'toff'. A bullet might find it's way into a home or building, or hit an animal who knows.
      Good luck metal detecting!👻🖑

If you get little picture books from the state you live in it has lots of info on what it was like back in the day and can help your metal detecting.
Useing my picture book and going to where the book said a very old house was, (it's now a field) I found a box of beautiful silverware and a box of Morgan's and other cool coins. Best 2 finds in over 30 yrs of metal detecting!!

I spotted something sticking up out of the sand on a beach near Dungeness in Kent UK and after a massive effort to get it out with my bare hands it turned out to be a Petter PAZ1 single cylinder diesel engine and winch that must have once been used to drag fishing boats up the beach out of the way of the tide, I left it where it was it was terribly corroded

    Clark's trading post:
In 1928 Florence and Ed Clark opened a roadside attraction for White Mountain travelers in Lincoln NH. "Ed Clark's Eskimo Sled Dog Ranch," featured guided tours of their pure-bred Eskimo sled dogs and artifacts from the far North. The original "Stand", or Trading Post, offered souvenirs, tonic, and maple candy to the motorists on nearby Route 3.
Florence and Ed purchased their first Black Bear in 1931. Clark's Bears acted as the perfect "stopper," a visible attraction, gaining the attention of the curious passer-by. Starting in 1949 Edward and Murray, sons of Florence and Ed, began teaching and training the bears for show work. The Clark brothers and their bears, delighted guests with a healthy dose of wit, humor, and hospitality as they entertained and educated the audience. The Bear Show was born!

The Excaliber 2 with the 7.5 inch coil will do a better job finding small gold items. The BBS signal is a dense, complex field that is highly subject to interference. The smaller coil does a better job of getting the signal down further in less-than ideal ground conditions.

+NH beach metaldetecting It's because the class ring is only 10ct. You don't see much green or broken solder joints on 18ct. I have found so many 9ct rings here in Australia that are black. When you get a broken solder joint... it totally changes the smooth short tone you should of got.

If you ever find a ring made out of a quarter, it's mine! I lost that ring many many many years ago. My uncle had given it to me. I lost it in Maryland. Well I didn't actually lose it, it came off of my finger when I was in the water and I went diving for it but I could not see it. That was back in the very early sixties.

Very nice video - has motivated me to continue hunting the beaches. I live near the beach and have been using a Garrett 250. Usually I hunt in the dry sandy areas - I think I need to move down near the water.
I never see any rocks, etc on the beach. The beaches I search are near Melbourne, Florida. I've only been in the "hunting business" since I quit flying, here, in Eastern Fl. about a year or so.
I do enjoy hunting - always waiting for the BIG hit! :) I've found a couple dollar's worth of old quarters, dimes and pennies. They were so encrusted, I had to use a dremel tool to see the date, etc. I realize that it renders the coins basically worthless (other than the silver, if they are silver) but I like to see the old dated ones.
Many thanks for your video - I'm going back to the beach this afternoon!!!! :)

Nice video! I have been detecting for a number of years and hit beaches many times and still have not found ONE piece of gold!!!! Funny, but I feel at times some guys stage their videos, not you of course right!? But most the beaches I go don't have the rock you showed, need to go back and do over.

I don’t think anyone really Stages these videos. People that make videos, only put a video together when they do find good things. Who’s going to watch a video where I find nothing? LOL. Most days I go metal detecting I have nothing to film. On the days I do have some thing to film, those are the ones I make videos of. The people that make videos don’t tell you about all the hunts they go on where they found zippo. Lol.
On the shorts, There’s one guy that definitely does stage videos.

looks like it was just a matter of time on that scoop, the rust alone would have done it in even without the rock.

If i only found the stuff ive lost in last forty years is be good for a few months...new Hampshire Hampton must have stuff, it was popular forty years ago, salsbury, cape Elizabeth. Probably the best places i can think of, for beaches, I missed a swimming hole that dried up, gosh, i wonder if I ever go back......
Thanks for not having music, and filming detecting, instead of five minutes of blah blah...
I moved to Philippines, I find more magnet fishing than detecting. I'm going to a province, lot of tiny islands, small population, the city was founded in 1598 and little islands I hear you look for anything on shore that would serve as a landmark..some people do find a few coins hidden, it only takes one.....
When you find lead, you might find gold,
Typhoons on Philippines is detector friend, because
    It moves stuff around,
Looking forward to Wednesday because i go to the beaches quiet days, batagas is mostly off limits right now because of taal...
Here you don't find much jewelry, poorer people, but WWII Stuff old Spanish stuff if your lucky!!!!!
And rumors of treasures, but I'm not hunting lost Japanese gold 😀

All those items even the copper and brass ones have a story, everything has a story and I wonder where are the people that lost them are? Don't you wonder what happened to the people? I think that most people wouldnt lose such valuable items so carelessly? I think metal detecting is great, its cleaning up the environment and there is a certain code of conduct most people who metal detect go by, and I have respect for those people.
