OMG I've tried to fix this so many times, but I never knew it was a conflict with the V1. Your tutorial fixed it so easily. I've been living with no mouse control for a year now. Coincidently I watched one of your other videos earlier today to start learning how to use this Garmin glass cockpit setup and that tutorial was great too. Subscribed!
@@Huddison no lie, TH-cam is recommending me other videos of yours about fixing other weirdly obscure problems. I didn't even know I needed to fix the trim! But I totally needed to fix my trim!
@@HuddisonHave you any idea what "xbox compatability mode is" in the input choices? I've heard you and others talk of selecting between the 2 options of pc and xbox but mine has 3 modes. Pc,xbox and xbox compatability mode. Also my hat2 keeps drifting the view up until I'm looking at the roof, any thoughts on a fix? Thanks
Try to reset by default your mouse setup to your command configuration. Check of course that your mouse is well declared with your flight stick in the command configuration. The mouse should also allow you to navigate through the MSF menus, is this the case ? At my home the mouse and the flight stick have always worked well together (Xbox series X). I no longer use the Xbox controller that remains off, when I am in MSFS.
Hello Huddison ! For my part I have always done like this with the turttle Beach and the mouse. For Zoom in and Zoom out, I click on B16 and B17 (in addition to the mouse wheel). To reset the views to default, I click on the trim wheel. To display and turn off the VFR map, I click on the small touchpad. To switch between the cockpit view and the outdoor pursuit view, I click on the H2 hat. ------ I also often use the A,B,X,Y buttons on the left, to shift the 4 directions of the H1 hat, which in absolute terms adds 4 virtual H1 hats. ( e.g. I move the landing gear in and out by holding X down, and pushing or pulling H1 up or down)
Been using my TB on Star Citizen. Quite fiddly, as all things are in that game to set up. But its been working well so far, The dual thumbstick HAT functions have come in handy. I assigned the right throttle to be forward/reverse strafe so I can balance landing while the left side is only forward thrust.
Would love to see a review/tutorials on the Honeycomb XPC with the Alpha throttle on the Xbox. Thanks as always for your videos and knowledge🛫✈️🛬 safe flight👍
Hi Huddison, thank you for another useful little video. The issue I have is that i have owned the Flightstick for about a month now and whenever I use the H2 little stick in MSFS2020 it always dritfs downwards.Any ideas if I can cure this or is it a faulty stick. Many thanks.
I should've maybe showed that in this video: your FS is not faulty - just go into Sensitivities in Controls options, see which axis is assigned to H2 and set a slight sensitivity on the up/down axis.
TrackIR is a very affordable device for controlling view panning. It is hands free and works beautifully. It frees up hat switches for other uses. Well worth the small investment. You'll be glad you got it.
Anyone having issues with cockpit interactions with this joystick on Xbox? For example, with the cursor on a system (speed brakes for instance) you would normally press ‘A’ on Xbox to select them, then move the interaction axis to modify their amount (right stick up or down). On the velocity one flight stick however, even with button 1 mapped as cockpit interaction lock and primary interaction, it still says on screen ‘press ‘?’ to interact’ and button 1 doesn’t do anything - very frustrating. What’s more is that when the Xbox controller is turned off, if I move the cursor onto a system knob etc. it doesn’t even highlight or bring up a text box saying the above! Just got this today and it seems very odd that this doesn’t work - am I doing something wrong here?
Did you ever figure this out? Spent like 2 hours trying to get interactions to work with v1 flightstick but seems to only use controller A or mouse left to start interaction no matter what settings I try
can you tell me how to use the joystick for cursor instead of using the mouse in the cock pit in vr i want to use my steering wheel joystick to move the cursor around in the cockpit so i dont have to feel for the mouse. is that possible?
The cursor is not great on the Flightstick, but the default bindings should allow you to use it. Not sure re the racing wheel thing - our Discord might have more ideas/suggestions (we have a lot of VR users in there).
@@Huddison I have moza r9 direct drive wheel and it has 2 little joysticks. I want to use the joystick axis to move the cursor. So how do I bind them instead of mouse. What is it called to assign it. Is it cockpit camera primary. Just need the title so I can find it and assign it. Thanks
There is a click button on the touchpad which can be mapped Button 26 but turn the sensitivity of the touchpad axes down to zero (option via the stick display) to disable it. There are two axes on the touchpad (you can see them in sensitivities on XBOX but not apparently on PC) but, as I say, don't use these; the touchpad simply isn't really usable for axis control in it's current state.
@@Huddison It is an easy fix once you know it. I had to dig into the internet to find it out. For those used to flying on PC the mouse is faster and easier to move around while zooming in most cases. But yeah, I admit the "just the hat switch" works fine most of the time.
It is toggling cursor mode. I find this is more trouble than its worth. As H says, rebind it In fact I use B16 and B17 for aeleron trim and, in combination with the trigger, for moving the heading bug. I also find that turning down the sensitivities of the touchpad to 0 removes a lot of anomalous behaviour. It too causes problems when hit accidentally as you use the trim wheel. I would advice any user to use a mouse and a keyboard. It makes life so much simpler and keeps such stuff clear of the Stick.

Interesting Luke. Come and ask this on our Discord: I'm sure there will be lots of suggestions offered on there.

Is the touch pad above the scroll wheel programmable? It’s so small it’s not useful as a touch pad.
I've not tried to reprogram it as yet, but I don't think so.

Turtlebeach could have done this from day 1. It would have saved me a few rants...
More playtesting prior to release would've helped, but it's a relatively easy fix.
I was quite happy with using just H2 to look around.

hi all
what does B17 do as on input a circle appears that you can do naff all, unlike standard joy pads, this function needs sorting.
You can rebind it to something more useful.

Will this method work with vr
I think you may have issues with using it in VR.

It should work fine.
@@Huddison Yes, I hope so I ordered it. Great info in your videos - Thanks for doing that.
