Came back to this video after finding out about his passing and it brought so many tears of love and sadness. Len was the best judge. He kept the tradition of ballroom dance alive and was the heart of the show. So to Len, you are an everlasting 10. 💜🙏
He knew he had limited time left. He wasn't;t just saying goodbye to the show, he was saying goodbye to everyone. Legend, truly will be missed.

Just heard he passed away! I was wondering how he died at 78 while he seemed to be in a pretty good state these past few years, but I've now read about his bone cancer... Sucks so bad!! Well, at least they say he passed away peacefully this weekend (3 days before his birthday) after short illness. Goodman was a treasure on both the British original and the American version of the show. Rest in peace and dance your way to the stars, legend! 🕊

I just heard today about his passing. It's too bad he didn't get to enjoy a very long retirement. He was a tough judge, but in a lovable kind of way. He will be remembered and missed.

He knew long before that he would be the head judge because BBC pitched the show to ABC with Len and Bruno. The only thing in doubt was whether ABC would buy it. They did and the rest is history. Len was a star because he was just himself and that's not an easy thing to be when you are pivotal to the success of one of the most successful TV formats in history. Few people would have predicted 20 years ago just how successful it would become and Len was a big part of the Strictly journey.

They should name the mirror ball trophy after him.
It was a fitting way to have Len's final episode go out. But I think Len forgot that Bruno was a bit harder at the beginning too. I mean out of all of them, Bruno gave more 3's than anybody. Including Len.
Yes lol they were showing one time when len gave a 2 and I was like didn’t Bruno also give a 2 to that same dance
Neither judge would give low scores like that in the UK version. Both Len and Bruno were the "nice" judges on that version who always scored the highest and gave more positive feedback than the other judges who were more harsh. It's funny then to see Len taking on the persona of the "tough" judge in this version.

I’ve watched Len on both dancing with the stars and also I’ve watched him on strictly come dancing with Bruno it will be sad not watching anymore.
The difference in him in both versions is amusing. He was the "nice" judge on the UK version, whereas he was the "nasty" judge on the US version.

Personally I never liked him.. at all..I didn't like anything about his personality ..but I'm sure it's sad for the group there to see him go.. I stopped watching it years ago when they changed the format and let the girls wear hardly any clothing ..because it wasn't family friendly at all.. but in the early days it had its good times.. minus cranky old narcissistic Len.. go retire Len..go have some fun..
He was completely different on the original UK version. He was way softer on that, and was always defending contestants against the harsher judges in that version. I was actually quite surprised to see him as the harsh, cranky judge in this version.
