Hello, Can I have you send us an email directly with your contact information so I can reach out over the phone? Our contact info is in the video description. I have several follow-up questions for you. Ideally you plug in a code reader to the truck and get the fault codes, and based on what you are telling me, it most likely will show you have a CPC4 fault, but if you don't have access to one, then commonly when the CPC4 fails there are a few tell signs. #1 Multiple completely different systems start to malfunction. For example, no throttle, and the AC stopped working. Or ABS stops working intermittently and sometimes the truck won't start. #2 The issue typically starts intermittently, not always but usually. Was this the case? Do you have a hair dryer? Are you able to warm up that processor chip as we do in the video? If you are able to do that and retest the unit and find it allows the truck to work temporarily then this would be another way to confirm the fault. Please keep in mind we are not doing this as a way to fix the unit, this is simply for testing purposes so that you can confirm the fault and will not fix the unit. You should not heat it up too much or you could also damage the chip and or circuit board.
That issue you are experiencing is very common and is also due to the same type of processor fault on the CPC4. If you have a device to read codes from your truck it may show that you have a CPC4 hardware fault. It may not however be active. The device we use can pull up old codes that were triggered and display them as non active codes. This is especially helpfull when dealing with intermittent faults such as the one you are experiencing. If you want to send in your CPC4 for repair, we offer a full repair and refurbishing service which comes with a 1 Year Warranty. nickselectronics.com/products/a0034461002-001 If you have any questions or want to reach out to us directly, our contact information is in the video description and pinned comment at the top
Sorry I don't believe there is anyone in Florida that does CPC4 repairs. There are only a very small amount of companies that do these repairs since they are very difficult to perform and require specialized equipment. I know it will take a couple of days, but if you overnight the module to our repair shop, we can typically get these fixed within 24h, sometimes it take a little longer depending on module, and then we can overnight it back to you. We offer a flat rate service. If you have any questions, send me an email directly to info@nickselectronics.com and we can discuss further.
