I owned one in the day i use to give the big dogs a run for their money. I ll always miss it. One of the most relible and guick car that i ran on the street🤣🤣
I went with my buddy back then to test drive one being sold privately. He was fish tailing all over. He said, Ed, I can’t buy this car cause I can’t drive it. While he may have been lacking in driving skill, it shows you what a beast that car was. He ended up with a Chevelle SS 396 with 375 HP. Every time he shifted it snapped my head back.
Great street balance with that 327. The big blocks get all the glory because that's what kicked ass on track but, never undercut the raw ability of a tight high winding small block.
Drove a 67 Coupe and that was it for me, I had to have it with the L79. Hard to imagine now that car was my daily driver. It was dependable, fun to drive and not to bad on fuel consumption, if ya could keep your foot out of it which was next to impossible, lol. Thanks for the Vid, brought back a flood of memories and that old familiar sound was exact.

A new '66 327/350 convertible was the first Corvette I ever drove. There should have been an addiction warning label somewhere.

No M22. Standard was M20 or M21 was optional. In 66 the M22 was available for the 427 L72 only.
