Great review, mate. I have had one for five years and love it. The only cheaper wing awning I have seen is the new Ocam but I don't know how it compares for coverage and if the canvas is anywhere near as good as the 30-Second Awning.
@@OakesyAdventures Use some heat shrink on them maybe? It may help strengthen them a little while also reducing any unwanted tinkling sounds too. No signs of rust or degradation in my zips so far. I have not heat shrinked mine yet but I keep them behind the front velcro flap at all times.
@@OakesyAdventures thks missed your reply somehow. With the vent I meant the one on the roof of your Hidrive canopy, they're called Muller vents. Do you find it keeps the canopy cooler? And, any problems with water or dust ever getting through it? Thks.
You didnt say how much it weighs. You didnt show how you fitted it the the roof rack. Dud you have to buy extra different fixing brackets? Whats the noise like when you driving? Ive seen another video on this and it showed a lot more info on this and how it was fitted to a L C 200
Great feed back I take all this in for any other reviews I do thanks. But as for noise I don't hear any as is not bolted to the roof of the vehicle. When I had the old ARB awning bolted to the roller bars that was just insane to much wind noise so I moved it back to the racks on the old fibreglass canopy and heard nothing. Yes it must still make wind noise but its behind the cabin just don't hear it. Again thank you for your honest feedback regards Greg.
Solid product review Oakesy. Keen to see the next one you recommend 👍👍👍
Thanks Tom
I'd keep your zips at the front under that Velcro flap. Added protection for the zips. 👍. Had this awning for nearly 2 years now and can't fault it.
Thank you for the heads up will do makes good sense 👍

Thanks yea so far had been a good awning hope that it lasts for some years. The only weakness I see now may be the zips at the front flap end.

Are you still happy with the 30 second? Also, do you find that Muller vent on the roof of the canopy keeps it cooler/vented?
Well yes still happy with the 30sec awning it's performing well as to the vent only raise it during wet weather

@@markh6676 no don't have any issues so far and still performing well.
@@OakesyAdventures thks, do you notice when you open the canopy on a hot day the vent is helping prevent it becoming an oven inside.
@@markh6676 I feel it does help keep it cool
Looks decent. Never been a fan of this brand in the past but it seems they have improved them significantly.
Yea well I didn't know them before but it's been great so far touch wood
