    The new platinum rims look good on those trucks as well!

      Jesus Avila I thought about going that route but I’ve seen a lot of people doing that and I ended up with these on a trade a couple weeks back

    Did that ford have the 2 1/2 inch leveling kit on it before you put those 38s on?

    the difference in gaps in the rear between the tire and fender could possibly be the axle being titled a bit one way. Not sure though but great video.

      I looked into it some, but my 2011 was the same way in the same spot. I don’t know why it’s like that though

    Did you have any issues with this build and these wheels as far as safety or the tire coming off? I really want to put 13.5s on a stock Ram 8 inch wide rim, but I'm worried about having any kind of issues with them. Someone I asked said first big bump I hit the tire is going to fly off the rim.

      I have put 13.50 and 15.50 tires on skinny factory wheels several times with no issues. It is not recommended by the manufacturer or most tire places but you shouldn’t have any issues unless you are doing some extreme off-roading maybe

    Did you ever find out why in the rear the tires fit different from left to right?

    • @GRAPPAHOLICS
      @GRAPPAHOLICS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I haven’t! My last one was like that and I think it’s just inconsistent bedsides or something but it’s not noticeable until you try to cram big tires in there

    I’m a little late but how wide are those wheels? I’m going for a stock look and stuffing some 38x15.50r20 but don’t know how wide the wheel should be.

    • @GRAPPAHOLICS
      @GRAPPAHOLICS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The stock wheels are 8in wide I believe. It is not recommended and most shops won’t mount them but I haven’t had any issues

    • @michaelbland3692
      @michaelbland3692 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GRAPPAHOLICS I appreciate it. I know the general rule is you don’t wanna go 3-4 inches over the width of the wheel but seeing that you did it and ain’t have any problems I’m definitely gonna give it a shot also

      @@GRAPPAHOLICS are there any dangers to going wide? I want to put 13.50s on my stock rims but someone said they'd blow off the wheel if I hit a bump. I really don't know anything about it.

    • @GRAPPAHOLICS
      @GRAPPAHOLICS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaelphillips7266 because the stock wheels are so much skinnier than the tire it does put extra pressure on the tire bead which could make it more likely to blow off the bead. You would most likely only see this issue in series off-road conditions. Long story short it is not recommended to go outside the approved wheel widths but I haven’t personally had any issues after having done this several times on different trucks

    does the truck sit higher with the 38s?

    • @GRAPPAHOLICS
      @GRAPPAHOLICS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Austin Phillips A little bit. For every 2in bigger in tire size you get 1in of height/ground clearance. Going from 35s to 38s made it sit 1.5in higher basically.
